Abstract

In the perspective of CHRISTEN SCHULTZ, PHENOMENOLOGY of architecture and urban studies has concept like an environmental PHENOMENOLOGY.In the other hand, PHENOMENOLOGY has the ability to achieving sense of PLACE, spirit of PLACE and meaning of PLACE. So, in this article, the meaning of PLACE and subjective imagination will be shown. The research method is descriptive and analytical approach that uses data collection: documental study and library method.The result of research shows, in the perspective of CHRISTEN SCHULTZ, PLACE is a SPACE that humankind to be informed about themselves with consideration of typology and morphology of PLACE.
