Abstract

In recent years, we have witnessed the arrival of audit, particularly PERFORMANCE AUDIT, in the different scientific sectors. In the current study which is an action research based on the extant reliable documents, it has been tried to address the role of PERFORMANCE AUDIT in improving of developmental and servicing programs in rural areas, to be considered trends and processes of development in future knowledge-based societies. In other words, in this paper, has been considered and studied the role of PERFORMANCE AUDIT on development program, in the KNOWLEDGE-BASED SOCIETY. The results of this study showed, develop and improve the programs and processes of development and rural servicing, needs to structural changes based on legal legitimating of institutions and planning organizations and exact supervision on this process, on the other hand, in the audit process of RURAL DEVELOPMENT program and capital resource in rural areas should be given more attention.
