Abstract

education must lead to the all-round growth of students. Our focus in this study is to examine active and passive teaching methods and identify the best teaching methods for social studies. The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge and understanding of teaching methods so that teachers can use the best methods with the best efficiency in accordance with the conditions of the class and the classroom. The method used is descriptive-analytical method using library method. In this research, we have introduced some examples of teaching methods and enumerated the benefits of Active teaching methods. We have also mentioned the issues facing the educational system in implementing this method and introduced the best methods in the social studies course. The results show that teachers talk more than they act and use dry and stereotyped methods that are derived from the behaviorist school; As a result, they took away the power of analysis from the students. Instead, schools and teachers should use Active teaching methods that increase analytical power and pay attention to high levels of learning.
