Abstract

Knowledge Management and its application in Quality Management of supply chain and distribution can be considered as an effective factor in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. In fact, the supply chains of the organizations are competing with each other to gain more market share, not the organizations themselves. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Knowledge Management on Quality Management of supply chain and drug distribution. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptivesurvey in terms of method. The statistical population of the study is 170 people among managers and experts and deputies of Razi Distribution Company in which 118 of them were randomly selected as the research sample. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire based on the research of Nazemi et al. (2011) and Ostadi et al. (2017) that the content validity was confirmed by managers and experts of the company and the validity of the structure was confirmed using factor analysis test. Moreover, Cronbach`s Alpha coefficient of knowledge variable was 0. 957 and supply chain quality and distribution management was 0. 870, which indicates the confirmation of reliability. The structural equation modeling have been used to analyze the data. All research hypotheses have been confirmed. The results showed that all components of Knowledge Management including knowledge creation, knowledge coding, and knowledge transfer and knowledge application have a positive and significant impact on Quality Management of supply chain and drug distribution. The component of knowledge creation with the coefficient of 0. 199 is the least and the component of knowledge coding with the coefficient of 0. 499 is the most effective factor on the Quality Management of the supply chain and the drug distribution in Razi Distribution Company.
