Abstract

Thisstudy aimedto analyze the content of the fourth, fifth and sixth-grade elementary schoolbooksof heavenly gifts in terms of self-awareness components. The present study is a type of content analysis that has been done by methods of the total, descriptive statistics of frequency, and percentage to analyze the data. The results showed that in the fourth-grade book, the lowest and highest frequenciesareassigned to the components of self-awareness andawareness of their feelings and interests. In the fifth grade, the highest component is the self-awareness to the familiarity with self-performance and the lowest component isawareness of ways of self-care and self-worth. In the sixth grade, the most frequencywas related tobeing aware of self-feelings. According to the present study, the distribution of self-awareness components in the mentioned books is not the same; the component of awareness of one's emotions holdsthe highest frequency.
