Abstract

Introduction: Inhalation of cigarette smoke in the environment is a threat to the health of Mothers and Infants. The prevalence of smoking is high. People's awareness and attitude about the effects of smoking is not good, the need to implement educational programs and appropriate interventions to prevent smoking seems logical. Regarding the importance of smoking in people and its side effects, no research has been done in this field in our country so far, and despite the importance of this issue, little information about Exposure to environmental smoke in Iran, especially pregnant women and Mothers. There is no baby available. Given the importance of the role of the mother in the health of Infants, virtual network-based education can be used as a lively and useful method to improve Knowledge and awareness in this field, and due to the role of nurses in health and education can be identified It is planned to take effective steps to improve the level of Knowledge of Mothers. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of "investigating the effect of virtual network-based education on Knowledge, attitudes and behaviors to avoid Exposure to Secondhand Smoke in Mothers with Infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. " Methods: This study is a Experimental quasi study with the testing group and control group. the research community consists of 93 Mothers of Mothers with inpatient care in the neonatal intensive care unit of the University of Mashhad Medical Sciences. sampling method has been sequential. Before the intervention was performed, the questionnaire was completed by the samples with and attitude (2013)and a questionnaire for Avoiding Exposure to smoking (1998). the data were used in spss software 20 and for analyzing the findings from the statistical tests of chi-two and independent t were used. Results: The findings showed two groups of testing and control were homogenous in terms of demographic and contextual variables. The average number of Mothers ' Knowledge scores were investigated after intervention(86/18± 39/1), (attitudes score31/17 ± 09/2), (mean of avoidance behavior score91/63± 49/7 ). therefore, the virtual networks based on Knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of cigarette smoke have affected. Conclusions: The study results showed a positive impact on Knowledge, attitude, and behavior to avoid Exposure to Mothers of Mothers with a stable baby in the neonatal intensive care unit. by applying the research results in this field, nursing service managers can design the map and route to achieving this important goal easier.
