Abstract

An three level PRODUCTION PLANNING and control method is developed and examined. In the first level with the use of a mathematical model, optimum planning period is determined and passed to te next level. The two last levels which perform production cpntrol function are based on three principals: separation between due dates, operational considerations and full, utilization of the cell flecxibility. A simulation medel based on the proposed method has been built. Classic loading rules have been redefined with respect to the concept of balanced workload. The results for hese reules have shown similar behavior as compared to the results for classic rules.
