THE STUDY OF TEHRAN HIGH SCHOOL MANAGERS PERFORMANCE ON THE BASIS OF MANAGERS EMPOWERMENT COMPONENTS

Abstract

 The purpose of the study is to determine the main components and dimensions of educational managers empowerment from Tehran high schools managers point of view and to set the amount of EDUCATIONAL MANAGERS PERFORMANCE in the current situation in terms of their sex, management background and records. The statistical population were all the managers serving in Tehran high schools consisting of 1261 people in the academic year of 1387-88. The sample consisted of 297 people chosen according to Kerjsy & Morgans sampling table by simple random & stratified sampling method.To prepare the researcher made questionnaire, the research literature & previous researches have been studied deeply, and after experts judgment (10 people), 40 subcomponents were extracted, and the tool validity, and its reliability were confirmed by koronback coefficient test by 0.856 which shows high reliability. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The referential statistics were T-test, independent, T-test, ANOVA. The results showed that managers, empowerment components are organizational structure, organizational climate, management individual traits, management skills. Among the mentioned components, the management skills have got the most effective and organizational structure had the least impact on managers empowerment. There is a meaningful difference between the performance of managers who had B.A. and M.A. degrees and those with degrees less than that. The managers performance with more than 10 years back-ground was more than those who had 3-6 years back ground, and the managers sex had no impact on their performance mean.
