The article examines some of the linkages between environment and INTERNATIONAL POLITICS. The military factors loses to some extent its significance and place in the concept of international security. Ecopolitics which stresses the interrelatedness of political and ECOLOGICAL matters is a Comparatively recent issue area. Traditional Perspectives in world politics have been obsessed with issues of peace, Security and economic well-being embedded within the classical framework of the nation states and the state system. Security and maldistribution are often factors in conflict over a key resource. If may also run along class or athnic lines, increasing the potential for conflict.
