Abstract

Purpose: To analyze the content of four important monsha’ ats [تآشنم] (collections of writings, in particular official letters) of the time of Sultan Hussein B ā yqar ā (1438-1506), the Timurid prince. A newly found manuscript of Mansha ol-Enshaa’ is examined against three other copies of the work. Method and Research Design: Contents of the four manuscripts were compared in order to explore authenticity of each. Findings and Conclusions: Mansha ol-Enshaa’ is an important Timurid source for the literary and historical research. The newly found manuscript is the most complete.
