Abstract

The present study tries to answer the question whether identity styles can predict religious self-regulation styles? 346 pre-university students (aged 18 to 21) from Zahidan were selected for this study through cluster sampling. A questionnaire on religious self-regulation (SRQ-R) and a questionnaire on identity style inventory (ISI-6G) were used in this research. Pearson Correlation test and stepwise regression were used to analyze the data. The research findings indicate that normative identity and CONFUSION/AVOIDANT IDENTITY STYLEs can predict the introjected religious self-regulation identity. Also, normative identity and information identity can predict self acceptance and religious self-regulation style.
