Abstract: 

Background Concerning the significance of professional ethics compliance for the members of the faculty in research and in order for the research demonstrate a more explicit picture about the activities done for the scientific community. Therefore, the current study has been aimed to devise the professional research ethics questionnaire of university faculty members. Method This research is a descriptive survey. The statistical population consists of higher education students of non-governmental and non-profit institutions in west of Tehran, and the statistical sample was calculated to be 237 using the Cochran’ s formula which ultimately led to distribution of questionnaires among 264 individuals. Researcher made questionnaire was used for gathering data. Also, Cronbach's alpha method was used to calculate reliability and analysis of data was conducted using SPSS 22 as well as Amos Software. Results The obtained samples consist of 99 men (37/5%) and 165 women (62/5%). The results of exploratory factor show 6 factors (var=64/17) which these factors were confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. (RMSEA=0/045، CFI=0/95، TLI=0. 95، IFI=0/95، PGFI=0/84، PNFI= 0/78). The total Cronbach's alpha value for this questionnaire was 0/84. Conclusion The questionnaire can be used as a valid and reliable instrument to measure compliance with professional research ethics by faculty member of universities.

Abstract: 

هدف: پژوهش حاضر با هدف طراحی و تعیین ویژگی های روان سنجی پرسشنامه ای متناسب با معیارهای فرهنگی جامعه ایرانی جهت بررسی شادکامی سالمندان انجام شده است. روش بررسی: مطالعه حاضر یک پژوهش روش شناختی است که از اردیبهشت سال 1397 تا خرداد 1398 انجام شد. پژوهش در طی 4 مرحله توصیه شده توسط اشنایدر و همکاران (2004) صورت گرفت. در مرحله اول محققین با استفاده از روش تحلیل محتوا به تبیین مفهوم شادکامی سالمندان پرداختند. در مرحله دوم، به منظور دستیابی به عوامل ساخت آزمون شادکامی سالمندان، نتایج حاصل از منابع سه گانه پژوهش یعنی ﻋ ﻮ اﻣ ﻞ ﺗ ﺸ ﮑ ﯿ ﻞ دﻫ ﻨ ﺪ ه شادکامی ﺑ ﺮ ﭘ ﺎ یﻪ ﺑ ﺮ رﺳ ﯽ ﻣ ﺘ ﻮ ن، اﺑ ﺰ ارﻫ ﺎ ی اﻧ ﺪ ازه ﮔ ﯿ ﺮ ی، و ﻣ ﺼ ﺎ ﺣ ﺒ ﻪ ﺑ ﺎ مشارکت کنندگان استخراج گردید. سپس، عبارات مناسبی که هر یک، جنبه ای از مفهوم شادکامی سالمندان را پوشش می داد، تدوین گردید. سپس در مرحله سوم تعیین روایی پرسشنامه با بهره گیری از روائی صوری، روائی محتوا، روائی سازه، و در مرحله چهارم تعیین پایایی پرسشنامه با همسانی درونی، و ثبات مورد بررسی قرارگرفت. در مرحله اخیر 304 سالمند تهرانی به صورت تصادفی انتخاب و در مطالعه شرکت کردند. یافته ها: بر اساس نتایج حاصل از مرحله اول و دوم مطالعه، پرسشنامه اولیه شامل 77 عبارت ارائه شد. پس از تعیین روایی صوری و محتوا به صورت کمی و کیفی، عبارات پرسشنامه به 39 عبارت کاهش یافت. نتیجه تحلیل عاملی اکتشافی در این پرسشنامه بیانگر وجود 5 عامل بود: حقوق و شئونات انسانی، زندگی لذت بخش، حسن خلق، سلامتی و معنویت. این 5 عامل در مجموع 496/70درصد از واریانس کل آزمون را تبیین می نمودند. نتایج روش تحلیل مقایسه ای گروه های شناخته شده در پارامترهای جنسیت و وضعیت تحصیلات نمایانگر تفاوت های قابل ملاحظه ای بین گروه ها بود. محاسبه ضریب آلفای کرونباخ مؤید همسانی درونی بالای پرسشنامه( 950/0-838/0) و ثبات از طریق آزمون مجدد 95/0 بود. نتیجه گیری: یافته ها حاکی از آن است که پرسشنامه حاضر با عنوان "پرسشنامه شادکامی سالمندان " با 39 عبارت در سالمندان مقیم جامعه یک ابزار روا پایا محسوب می شود. بنابراین برای استفاده به عنوان یک سفت اندازه کیری در سالمندان پیشنهاد می گردد. این ابزار قابلیت بکارگیری درموقعیت های مختلف توسط ارائه دهندگان خدمات بهداشتی، روانشناسان و پژوهشگران را برای بررسی شادکامی سالمندان دارا است.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: Quality of work life is one of the most important factors in promotion of teachers and having them continue their jobs. This study aimed at designing and evaluating a questionnaire for teachers’ work life quality. Methods: In this research, a sequential exploratory approach (instrument editing model) was used and in the qualitative stage, a semi-structured interview method was used to determine the quality of life of teachers. In the qualitative stage, indices of work life quality were identified using semi-structured interviews with 12 teachers (9 men and 3 women) of Karaj city (2014-2015 educational year) selected through purposive sampling method. The qualitative data was analyzed using Straus and Corbin method. Subsequently, a questionnaire of teachers’ working life quality was constructed based on these indices and was validiated in the quantitative stage. Results: Content validity was confirmed by five experts using content validity index. A sample of 760 (387women) teachers selected through multistage cluster sampling were handed out two questionnaires including a researcher-made questionnaire of teachers quality of working life and Walton (1973) quality of work life questionnaire. Construct validity of the research-made questionnaire was examined using exploratory factor analysis. Eight factors were extracted and confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis. Fit indices of model indicate compliance. Convergent validity was confirmed by its correlation with the quality of work life questionnaire (P<0. 01). Reliability was confirmed by calculating Cronbach’ s alpha coefficient (0/74-0/88). Conclusion: The results of the study indicated that the researcher-made questionnaire with regard to its design in the job context of Iranian teachers, with 54 items, is an appropriate tool for assessing the quality of their working life.

Abstract: 

Objective(s): To develop and validate a questionnaire for measuring healthy lifestyle in Iranian elderly.Methods: This is a triangulation study, developed in Isfahan city 1385-86. An item pool was developed based on semi-structured interviews with elder people and experts in Geriatrics, literature review and other lifestyle questionnaires. We used principal-component analysis (used SPSS15) and a focus group to reduce the items and assessment the face and content validity. Internal reliability was estimated using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient.Results: The questionnaire contains 46 items and 5 dimensions including exercise, nutrition, prevention, stress management and relationship. The validity was confirmed by experts and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.76.Conclusion: The Elderly Lifestyle Questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument and will enable researchers to investigate lifestyle patterns in the elderly and to assess the impact of interventions of lifestyle change in this population. The instrument warrants further testing and development with different elderly populations.

Abstract: 

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to design an Iranian cultural adaptable questionnaire for the assessment of self-care in the elderly.Methods & Materials: This methodological study was conducted in 2 phases. In the first phase, items and primary categories of the new instrument were identified from the review of the studies based on Orem’s theory. In the second phase, the psychometric properties of the instrument such as face validity, content validity, construct validity, and internal consistency were determined. In this phase, 225 elderly people in Uremia City, Iran were randomly selected from nursing homes and the Elderly Center of Uremia to participate in the study.Results: Forty-five items of the questionnaire were identified from the review of the studies based on Orem’s theory. After determining face and content validity in qualitative and quantitative terms, the questionnaire items reduced to 40. The results of the exploratory factor analysis on the questionnaire indicated the existence of 5 factors. These 5 factors explained nearly 79.936% of the variance of the questionnaire. Also, the internal consistency (Cronbach α) was 0.864.Conclusion: Based on the results, we concluded that the assessment self-care questionnaire for the elderly with 40 items appears to be a promising tool and provides reliable and valid data helping to determine elderly self-care in different settings such as clinical setting and research environments by health care providers.

Abstract: 

Background: Performance appraisal and quality evaluation of the services provided will achieve the organizational goals and improve the level of staff capability. In order to evaluate accurately and efficiently, we need to use standard indices, to compare the quality and quantity of work with standards, to know the current conditions and to solve its problems Methods: This study is an applied study. This was done through a combined method of reviewing the texts and consensus of experts. Initially, the literature review and emergency evaluation indices were extracted, then the duplicate indices were removed and similar indices were merged, then weighted experts and questionnaires were compiled with the indices. Content validity, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and test-retest were used to assess the validity, internal consistency and reproducibility of the questionnaire, respectively. Data were analyzed using Excel and SPSS 20 software. Finding: Final questionnaire with 105 questions in 8 areas including management and leadership (15); human resources (22); physical space and facilities (18); medicine and medical equipment (6); guidelines and policies (17); patient-centered (10); documentation of patient records (5); quality and time indices in the emergency department (12). The results showed that the final questionnaire was reliable (0. 89) and repeatable (ICC = 0. 98). Conclusion: The Hospital Emergency Performance Assessment Questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument and can be used to evaluate the performance of hospital emergency services.

Abstract: 

Background and Aims: Eighty five percent of accidents can be attributed to unsafe acts. Eighty five to ninety eight percent of workplace injuries caused by unsafe acts are due to attitude, behavior and culture. Safety climate is a multi-dimensional structure that describes the attitude and the correct priority of the people towards the safety at work. To assess safety climate, a valid and reliable tool is needed. The aim of this study was developing a psychometric questionnaire to assess safety climate in Iran.Materials and Methods: Using safety literature and other safety climate questionnaire, a 96-item questionnaire was provided. Face validity, content validity ratio and index, construct validity, internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability were investigated on 550 industrial employees.After validity index survey 43 items questionnaire were obtained. Principal factors were extracted using exploratory factor analysis by Varimax rotation method. To check the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficients and Pearson correlation coefficient was used.Results: For the face validity, CVR (78.5%) and CVI (0.75) related to safety climate designed questionnaire to be acceptable, eleven factors were extracted that covered 58.85 percent of total variance. Cronbach's alpha for most factors more than 0.7 were calculated and Spearman coefficient showed significant correlation between test and retest results.Conclusion: The Safety “Climate Assessment Questionnaire” which has been designed for 43 items and 11 factors has appropriate validity and reliability and can be used to assess the safety climate.

Abstract: 

Background & aim: The purpose of this study was to design a questionnaire for prenatal health care in order to step through the design of a standard tool for measuring and promoting prenatal care. Reducing maternal mortality rates requires extensive management of various aspects of care during different stages of pregnancy. Therefore, the aim of this study was to design a management questionnaire for prenatal care. Methods: This descriptive-comparative study was carried out to accomplish a comparative study among the advanced countries; therefore, a simple random sampling method based on the population and availability of information available to the three countries (Iran, Japan, and the United Kingdom) was selected. Required data were collected through referrals to official sites, scientific journals, books and databases, and identified the dimensions and indicators that affect health care management and were ranked by experts. Subsequently, with the opinion of specialists and experts, the initial questionnaire was prepared and reassessed by experts. The final questionnaire was distributed to 420 network administrators, randomly assigned to health experts. The data from the field study were analyzed using statistical methods (confirmatory factor analysis). Results: In the present study, the reliability of the reagents, the composite reliability of the conceptual model, the convergent validity of the model and the differential validity were confirmed, and the indicators of the designed questionnaire included the contents of the package of care that included 15 questions; human resources care 8 questions, equipment and logistics 5 questions, system of statistics and information 3 questions, financial resources 5 questions and management of health care delivery 17 questions, reliability of reagents was confirmed by factor load above 0. 7. Conclusion: Designing a questionnaire and its application for prenatal care can help managers of Kohgiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces focus on structures that are effective in promoting health care during pregnancy and can improve the quality and quantity of prenatal health care.

Abstract: 

AbstractAim: Human power is considered as the valuable capital of organizations, which selection, maintenance and preservation is necessary and important for every organization, and this will be possible by using job questionnaires. For this purpose, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the validity and reliability of Panikar's Occupational Typography Questionnaire. Methods: For the initial review of the questionnaire, the initial version of the questionnaire was implemented on a sample of 50 people (25 girls, 25 boys in the second secondary school). Then the questionnaire was given to 10 experts in the field of psychology and psychometrics (7 psychologists and 3 psychometricians) and its content and form validity were also checked. Then, to check confirmatory factor analysis, 600 people between 14 and 24 years of age were selected by available sampling method and responded to Panikar's occupational typology questionnaire. Results: In the present study, after analyzing the data by content validity method and confirmatory factor analysis, finally a questionnaire of 312 questions was obtained that separates 8 job types and the components of each type are from the point of reliance, pleasure, planning, identity, risk, motivation and framework are formed. Conclusion: The results of the validation based on Cronbach's alpha were also 0.77, which is a suitable value. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that this questionnaire is a reliable and valid tool for evaluating job types in the workplace..
