Abstract:

Cyber security has become a major problem in the world, and ASEAN has taken urgent steps to address cybersecurity. Security measures and other efforts to combat cyber incidents at the regional and national levels demonstrate ASEAN's awareness of the importance of a robust cyber approach that can be achieved by examining cyber security indicators with defense issues. Defense against innovative cyber-attacks, strategies against cyber security threats, government policies and protection of privacy, protection of computer infrastructure in government and legal and ethical issues in cyberspace are the objectives of this research with a descriptive-analytical approach. It comes to mind that the ASEAN countries have based their cyber security study axes on achieving a robust cyber approach, and how much research has been done on these indicators so far? The findings show that there has been limited research on cybersecurity research indicators, particularly government policies and privacy protection in some ASEAN countries, which is directly related to the increase in cybercrime.

Abstract:

Although Rohingya's ethnicity in Myanmar has been Exposed threats and injuries by Burmese nationalism as well as extremist Buddhism in Myanmar since the distant past, But from 2012 to 2018, a new wave of violence against this Muslim nation happened, That's the result nearly a million people were displaced and killed. was expected that the South east Asian Nations Union (ASEAN), as the most important regional institution in Southeast Asia, has responded to this genocide, but this did not happen. Therefore, The question arises: firstly, what is the ASEAN response to the genocide in Myanmar and, secondly, What factors influenced the reaction of this union? The hypothesis of the article, which has been analyzed by descriptive-analytic method, is that the socio-cultural heterogeneity and the non-uniformity of the political structure of the member states are the most important reasons for the weakness of ASEAN's response to genocide against the Rohingya ethnicity. the findings of the paper show that cultural and social incoherence as well as the non-uniformity of political structures can be effective in the ineffectiveness of regionalism.

Abstract:

Background: Loneliness is commonly experienced during adolescence and has been associated with negative health outcomes. Objectives: The present study aimed at assessing the factors associated with loneliness and investigating the relationship between loneliness and health risk behaviors among adolescents in the association of southeast asian nations (ASEAN). Methods: This cross-sectional study included 30 284 schoolgoing adolescents (aged 13-15 years, mean age = 14. 1 years, SD = 0. 8) from 7 ASEAN countries, who took part in the global school-based student health survey (GSHS) between 2007 and 2013. The measure inquired about loneliness, health risk behaviours, and protective factors. Results: Across the 7 ASEAN countries, 7. 8% of the adolescents reported mostly or always being lonely and 31. 3% reported sometimes being lonely in the past 12 months. In multivariable logistic regression, female gender, older age, living in a low or lower income country, not having close friends, bullying victimization, and lack of parental or guardian support were associated with mostly or always feeling lonely in the past 12 months. After adjusting for sociodemographic and social supportive factors, it was found that loneliness was associated with poor mental health, substance use, aggression, and other health risk behaviours. Conclusions: A significant proportion of adolescents were experiencing loneliness, which was found to be associated with various health risk behaviours. Thus, it is important to recognize lonely adolescents early in to prevent more serious poor mental health and other health risk behaviours.

Abstract:

China and Japan are now introducing as the largest ASEAN trading partners. This article main question is how China and Japan's position in ASEAN's economic policy be assessed? The findings reveal the fact that Southeast Asia as a whole is not fully inclined towards any of the two countries, and for this reason, ASEAN countries have tried to diversify their trading partners in order to Prevent unilateral and excessive dependence; However, some of these countries inclined to China and some are keen on Japan. This is for the reason that China and Japan have a high dominancy in various areas of trade and investment among ASEAN countries, and these countries tend to balance the two powers in their interactions (Japan through technology, and China through consumer markets and economic volume). This article is a qualitative one, where it seeks to analyze China-Japan's position in ASEAN's economic policy as well as China-Japan's priorities among the countries in the region. Besides, the compilation method is a documentary one.

Abstract:

Intellectual property protection has become a very important issue in international economic relations. Developed countries are increasingly treating intellectual property rights as a precondition for meaningful trade negotiations with developing countries, as exemplified by the recent trade dispute between the United States and the People's Republic of China. The recognition of the growing importance of intellectual property also led to the inclusion of this issue in negotiations during the Uruguay Round of GATT, which subsequently led to the signing of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) to commit to the protection of intellectual property among member states. The issue of intellectual property rights is not limited to governments and important regional organizations have also paid attention to this issue. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is one of these organizations. In this article, an attempt is made to investigate the issue of intellectual property rights in the ASEAN organization by using the qualitative research method with a process research approach. The question that will be answered is, what has been ASEAN's approach to the issue of intellectual property rights, and what have been the results and achievements? The findings showed that although ASEAN has pursued the protection of intellectual property in line with the liberalization of trade and investment through the free trade zone, it should be able to achieve a fair and just exchange with its business partners and investors. through efforts to promote and strengthen the protection of intellectual property and has a long way to go in the field of full realization of intellectual property rights because according to international comparative indicators, the strength, scope and efficiency of the intellectual property framework in Malaysia Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines are still far below the highest global standards.

Abstract:

Scientific cooperation is an ongoing area of scientometric investigations that had been embraced by many researchers. International collaboration among scientists is an expanded form of scientific participation the importance and advantages of which has been corroborated by the investigations conducted. The present investigation was carried out in order to study collaboration between Iranian and ASEAN scientists. In the past 34 years, Iran had scientific collaboration with eight ASEAN countries with Malaysia standing out as principle collaborator. During the period studied, Iran-ASEAN collaboration had been on the rise. There had been a significantly positive correlation between scientific output in these countries with scientific collaboration with Iran. The highest number of coauthorships with ASEAN had been in chemistry. Shahid Beheshti University was the foremost Iranian institute of higher learning collaborating with ASEAN. Moustafa Amini had the highest coauthorships.
