NANO COMPOSITE VULCANIZATION BASED ON STYRENE-BUTADIENE RUBBER (SBR) AND ACRYLO NITRILE BUTADIENE RUBBER (NBR) WITH DIFFERENT COMPOSITION WITH 0, 5, 10 PHR NANO CLAY CLOISITE15A WERE PREPARED BY MELT BLENDING PROCESS IN AN INTERNAL MIXER. CURING BEHAVIOR OF THE PREPARED NANOCOMPOSITES HAS BEEN EVALUATED USING A RUBBER CURING RHEOMETER. RESULTS OF NANOCOMPOSITES INDICATED THAT WITH THE ADDITION OF 5, 10 PHR OF NANOCLAY TO SBR/NBR BLENDS DECREASED OPTIMUM CURE TIME AND SCORCH TIME. FOR THE NANOCOMPOSITES, CURE RATE INDEX (CRI) NANOCLAY CONTENT WAS HIGHER THAN THAT OF UNFILLED COMPOUNDS AND HENCE IT CAN BE INFERRED THAT NANOCLAY SUPPORTED THE ACTIVATION OF THE CURE REACTION. THE CROSSLINK DENSITY OF SBR/NBR BLENDS WITH ADDING NANO CLAY IN 100/0, 50/50, 0/100 COMPOSITION.
