چکیده: 

در این پژوهش، از دو اتصال ناهمگون BiFeO3 که با استفاده از روش های کم هزینه و آسان سنتز شدند به منظور تولید هیدروژن طی واکنش کلی شکافت فتوکاتالیستی آب استفاده شد. به همین منظور از آنالیزهای XRD، FTIR، FESEM، PL و UV-Vis برای شناسایی خواص ساختاری و نوری فتوکاتالیست های سنتز شده استفاده گردید. واکنش مورد نظر در یک راکتور از جنس کوارتز با حجم mL 160 تحت نور فرابنفش انجام گرفت. علی رغم اینکه میکرومکعب های پروسکایت BiFeO3، نانوذرات g-C3N4 و نانوورقه های ZnS به تنهایی قادر به انجام موثر واکنش شکافت آب نبودند، نمونه های کامپوزیتی فعالیت فتوکاتالیستی بسیار مطلوبی از خود نشان دادند. بالاترین نرخ تولید هیدروژن معادل µ mol. g-1. h-1 160 است که از نمونه بهینه به دست آمد.

چکیده: 

Developing nanoparticles with multimodal contrast agents with therapeutic and contrast effects can greatly improve disease diagnosis. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) are sophisticated medical imaging modalities utilized for visualizing internal tissues and bones, facilitating the diagnosis of organ-related ailments and diseases. In MRI, bovine serum albumin (BSA) is a well-known compound used to carry gadolinium oxide as a contrast agent. Bismuth ferrite nanoparticles (BiFeO3 NPs) have been identified as a novel multifunctional therapeutic agent suitable for applications in radiotherapy, MRI, CT, and as mediators for magnetic hyperthermia. This study presents new NPs that can serve as dual imaging contrast agents for MRI and CT. These novel nanoparticles (BiFeO3@BSA-Gd2O3) consist of BiFeO3 nanoparticles, with BSA acting as a carrier for gadolinium oxide nanoparticles. BiFeO3 was synthesized by the sol-gel method and covered with a BSA layer, then gadolinium oxide was added to the BSA layer. Synthesized nanoparticles were identified using different physicochemical methods. The Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy (ICP) confirms the existence of Gd, Bi, and Fe in the nanoparticle and the average size of nanoparticles regarding to SEM was 120 nm. The presence of BiFeO3 nanoparticles as a promising agent with multi-functional properties such as CT and MRI imaging and BSA-Gd2O3 as an MRI contrast agent, the newly synthesized nanoparticle has the potential to be used as nanomedicine for simultaneous MRI and CT as a Dual imaging contrast.

We examine the photo-assisted polarization loop in a BiFeO3 thin film under UV light illumination. BiFeO3 thin film prepared by pulsed laser deposition method onto the BaTiO3 thin film and the polarization behavior has been measured under poling voltage. Our results show the engineered polarization due to controllable schottky barrier under inverse poling voltage. This control on schottky barrier height and then polarization of thin film can be opened the new insight in the ferroelectric devices.

The effect of different Nd and PT compositions on the electrical and ferroelectric properties of (1-y)Bi1-xNdxFeO3-yPbTiO3 solid solutions, where x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and y = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4, was investigated to optimise material performance. Nd doping enhances the frequency-dependent dielectric properties of produced solid solutions. However, an anomaly in the dielectric loss tangent, which is consistent with the Debye relaxation process, is observed for compositions with x˂0.10 and y≥0.2 values in the frequency range of 1 KHz to 1 MHz. Dielectric anomalies were more noticeable around the transition temperature in temperature-dependent dielectric characteristics plots, suggesting stronger magnetoelectric interactions. The decrease in the dielectric constant for solid solution compositions with y ≥0.3 indicates the presence of MPB with BFO due to an increase in the tetragonal phase of the PbTiO3 compound. As Nd content increases, temperature-dependent dielectric permittivity predicts relaxor-type ferroelectric performance for y=0.4 composition of solid solutions. A ferroelectric investigation showed that saturation polarisation, remnant polarisation, and coercive field of all prepared solid solutions decrease with increased Nd doping. However, for y˃0.3 composition, a substantial rise in these parameters was observed, which is a result of electric order dominating over magnetic order in solid solutions. The study reveals that Nd doping reduces leakage current, making it a promising contender for future applications

In this current research work, the synthesis of Copper (Cu) doped and Magnesium (Mg) co-doped of BeFiO3 (BFO), i.e BiFe1-xCuxO3 (where; X= 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2 wt.%) and Bi1-yMgyFe1-xCuxO3 (where; Y=0.05, 0.1 and 0.15 wt.%) were prepared by sol-gel method. The obtained samples were analyzed by various characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), surface morphology examined by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transition electron microscopy (TEM). It was noted that Cu (0.15 wt.%) doped BFO had notable photocatalytic activity for Rhodamine (RhB) dye degradation when exposed to visible light irradiation. In addition to Cu (0.15 wt.%) by adding Mg (0.1 wt.% ) as a co-doping, exhibited higher photodegradation than the pure BFO, Cu-doped BFO (0.1and 0.2 wt.%) and Mg co-doped BFO (0.05 and 0.15 wt.%). Here we reported a new driven photocatalyst by doping of Cu and co-doping of Mg into BFO simultaneously. These played a key role in hampering the recombination of electron-hole pairs hence chance to increase dye degradation performance. These findings could be useful for developing affordable photocatalysts for wastewater purification.

The reverse chemical co-precipitation method was used for synthesis of the pure phase multiferroic BiFeO3 (BFO) nanoparticles. Influence of different pH values on the microstructure and magnetic properties of the BFO nanopowders was investigated. The phase formation and the existence of impurity phases (like Bi25FeO39 and Bi2Fe4O9) have been studied using X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The morphological features of the nanopowders were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and the presence of absorption bands at 400 to 3600 cm-1 was investigated by Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The magnetic evaluation of the synthesized powders was measured using vibrating sample magnetometery (VSM). The XRD results showed that the BFO powders have R3c crystal structure for all samples and also the diffraction patterns are perfectly indexed to the standard XRD card of BFO. The FESEM micrographs showed irregular shape and average particle size of 71 to 95 and 182 nm for the as-synthesized powders with the pH values of 8. 5, 9. 5 and 10. 5, respectively. The magnetic hysteresis loops indicated antiferromagnetic (weak ferromagnetic) behavior for all samples at room temperature. Whereas the particles size of as-prepared powders were lower than the spiral spin cycloid (62 nm) and because of high surface-to-volume ratio of nanoparticles, which causes more uncompensated spins from the surface, the weak ferromagnetic behavior has been observed.

چکیده: 

The rheological and tape casting behavior of ethanol-based Bi0.5 (Na0.80K0.20)0.5TiO3-7 mol% BiFeO3 (BNKT-BF) slurries was investigated. The effect of sintering temperature profile on texture development with a preferred <001> orientation was also studied. A 50 MPa pressure assisted three step sintering profile promoted extensive texture development together with densification. The role of BF as a sintering promoter has been discussed.
