Abstract:

This research deals with Abutamaam’s look at colors and what is related to them. This paper divides colors into light and dark colors including white, black, red, pink, green, mixed colors and secondary colors in the poems of his odes (Qasidahs) to indicate their significations. It is clear that Abutammaam used colors to show his feelings and to color his poems with various verbal indicators. He uses colors in his poems for a lot of purposes like pun, metaphor, and other kinds of figurative language. Colors are used for verbal beauty and to add new meanings. Moreover, all three types of semiotic signifiers including intellectual, natural and positional, can be found in his poems so that they play an important role in revealing secondary and hidden meanings; and showing the complex and ambiguous significations. Finally, it became known that Abutamaam is a creative poet and artist who has been able to mix various colors to achieve new colors which include new semantic indications. This mixture displays the state of the mind of the poem too. This artistic process is presented in a dignified style.

Abstract:

Horse Rugs are among the most functional hand-woven materials used by nomads in north-west regions of Iran particularly by Shahsavan tribes. In addition to meeting the urgent daily needs such as carrying persons and utensils, horse rugs have been a vehicle in which the aesthetic aspects of the nomad weavers’,imagination have been reflected. Motifs originated from communal beliefs, individual tastes as well as imaginative fantasies depicted by vivacious colors have given Shahsavan Horse Rugs, aesthetically, a unique character. In this study, 30 cases of Shahsavan horse rugs were analyzed, described and introduced in terms of weaving techniques and aesthetic considerations (colors and motifs). The study mainly focused on discovering the most dominant designs, motifs and colors in Shahsavan horse rugs. The findings implied that the Shahsavan horse rugs, often in rectangular shape, had a larger size than that of the other similar nomadic horse rugs. Meanwhile, the designs and motifs in Shahsavan horse rugs generally outnumbered those of other nomadic ones. The ground of each Shahsavan horse rug is divided into frames defined by almost narrow stripes. In each frame, different motifs, particularly animal ones, have been designed. Also, some Shahsavan horse rugs have all-over grounds with no frames or stripes, motifs are scattered across the length of the ground. The most commonly applied motifs include peacock and goat ones represented in a wide range of designs, plant motifs including trees, flowers as well as abstractly-designed shrubs have been used much less than the former ones. In terms of weaving technique, Shahsavan horse rugs, have a twisted-woven texture. The colors applied are limited in number mainly including natural and herbal dyes. Red, blue (in different hues such as dark blue), golden yellow and mustard, black, white, brown (dark and bright), green (dark and bright) are among the most commonly applied colors in Shahsavan horse rugs. This study is qualitative in nature with a descriptive-analytic methodology. The data were mainly collected based from library sources, reliable databased and museums.

Abstract:

Mohammed Maghout expresses his feelings through colors and uses colors to communicate his ideas. He also uses colors to define and characterize his poetry and render it different from what is conventional so that it provokes more, appeals to the eye as well, and seems more poetic. Little doubt colors and light play creative and artistic roles in literature as they illuminate meanings, make them more lively and dynamic, and easier to understand and receive by the audience. On the other hand, literary and poetic expression renders light and colors more beautiful and charming. The interaction of colors and words can create a welcome mystery. Colors are one of the concerns of Mohammed Maghout, who uses them in his poems and employs their symbolic, and aesthetic potentials. Colors, in addition to being a manifestation of realism in poetic images, convey cultural messages because colors are part and parcel of the mythology and cultural heritage of nations and serve as a medium of beauty.

Abstract:

Semantics (the study of meaning) of the colors of light in mysticism helps us to investigate one of the holy aspects of comprehending the Divine Truth, that is to say the aspect of the theophanical manifestation of the Lord's essence. It further helps us to analyze the ascending path of mystic's soul from humanity towards divinity through resorting to the radiant lights and attaining the source and origin of the essence of light, i.e. the Light of lights. The present article tries to first study and analyze the scientific definitions and theoretical principles of Islamic mysticism based on the ideological beliefs, and finally discover the structure of this normal-intuitive movement through collecting evidence and referring to some prominent mystical and philosophical texts.

So the importance of picking out just the right color for a young child's room shouldn't be underestimated. When choosing colors to use for your rooms home it's important to think about the mood you want to create and whether you want it to feel light and airy or cozy and intimate.
