FIBROSARCOMA is a rare neoplasm associated with locally-recurring and highly metastatic malignant mesenchymal fibroblast. This type of neoplasm is more prevalent among young adults and children. FIBROSARCOMA can be treated by surgery for excision of the healthy marginal tissues alone or in combination with radiotherapy. This study presents the case of a 22-year-old female patient in Arak Valie-Asr Hospital, Iran 2018, complaining of hemorrhage and thoracic pain between her two scapula bones. On examination, a hemorrhagic tumor necrosis was observed. Cranial nerve examination showed normal results, no tenderness was detected in cervical and lumbar vertebrae, while thoracic vertebrae were tender. The limb force was 5/5. CT scan and MRI imaging showed a well-defined soft tissue tumor measuring 140 *126*140 mm3. It did not involve the vertebrae and spinal canals. The patient underwent surgery three days post-admission and a 2600-gram mass was excised. Pathological results indicated a FIBROSARCOMA (grade of 2-3) with mitosis but no necrosis.

Introduction: Thyroid gland FIBROSARCOMAs are extremely rare tumors, and only very few cases have been described in the literature. There are no set recommendations along with follow-ups regarding the treatment of these tumors. Moreover, the prognosis is poor with a very short life expectancy. Case Report: We present an 81-year-old patient who was suffering from increasing dysphagia and dysphonia related to a painless giant cervical mass, which presented with progressive growth for the preceding months. After a core needle biopsy with a suspicion of a solitary fibrous tumor, total excision of the tumor was successfully performed, and the pathology examination revealed a FIBROSARCOMA. Following surgery, radiotherapy was decided in the oncological multidisciplinary meeting; however, the patient refused it. There were neither new clinical symptoms nor tumor recurrence after an 18-month follow-up. Conclusion: Although it is a very rare tumor, primary FIBROSARCOMA of the thyroid gland should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of neck tumors.

FIBROSARCOMAs is an uncommon connective tissue growth that rises from the proliferation of malignant fibroblasts. Local recurrence is frequent, but metastasis is rare. About 0. 05% of cases are affected in the head and neck. We report a case of mandibular FIBROSARCOMA in a 30-year-old man who presented with intraoral swelling in the ridge of the left mandibular alveolus. Histopathology showed the proliferation of malignant fibroblast cells arranged in a classic herringbone pattern.

A five-year-old Holstein cow with a history of vaginal prolapse was admitted to the Large Animal Clinic, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and University of Tabriz. According to the owner, she had a 5-month history of vaginal prolapse and frequent sanguineous discharge from the vagina. Appetite was normal and its last parturition was two months ago. Clinical examination revealed a tumor like mass that attached to the vaginal roof and partly protruded through the vagina without any vaginal prolapse. After epidural anesthesia, the mass was surgically removed with some of the surrounding tissue. The dimensions of the mass were 5.2 ´ 4 ´ 3.4 cm. Macroscopically, it was relatively well circumscribed with a lobulated and ulcerated surface. In cut section, the mass was homogenously creamy in color. There were no foci of necrosis or hemorrhage. Microscopically, the growth was composed of spindle-shaped fibroblastic type tumor cells that formed interlacing and intersecting bundles. The neoplastic cells showed pleomorphism, karyomegaly and slight nuclear hyperchromatism. The mitotic index was less than five. Based on the site, biological behavior, immunohistochemistry results, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics, the mass was diagnosed as a well-differentiated FIBROSARCOMA. This is the first report of cow vaginal FIBROSARCOMA from Iran.

This is a report of a penile FIBROSARCOMA in a two-year-old crossbred Holstein bull. The ulcerated tumor mass with dimensions of 7 × 9 × 6.5 cm, was enveloped the glans and body of the penis. It had a white-gray color at cross section appearance. There was no metastatic evidence of regional lymph node enlargement. Histopathologically, elongated spindle-shaped cells arranged densely in the interwoven pattern had a low rate of mitosis with oddly-shaped nuclei and pleomorphism. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic cells were positive for vimentin and S100, but negative for α-smooth muscle actin, desmin, C-KIT and GFAP.

Background: Infantile FIBROSARCOMA is a rare soft tissue tumor in infants and children mostly located in extremities. An infantile and adult form has similar histopathological patterns but survival prognosis is much better in infantile form. Recurrence of infantile FIBROSARCOMA is common but the rates of metastasis are less than 10 percent in children younger than five Years and 50 percent in children more than 10 years old.Case presentation: In this case report, we presented a nine years girl with a relapsing mass in her left hand. The pathologic findings showed sheets of spindle-shaped cells with suggested diagnose of infantile FIBROSARCOMA. She was successfully treated with combination of surgery and chemotherapy with a good outcome.Conclusion: Infantile FIBROSARCOMA is a differential diagnose of soft tissue mass in infants and children. It has a good prognosis and distant metastasis is uncommon. Choice of treatment is surgery but chemotherapy and radiotherapy were useful in decrease metastasis.

Neoplasms in fishes are generally less aggressive than neoplasms in mammals and are most commonly discrete and focal. Although tumors were originated from connective tissue are frequently seen in the fi shes, but dermal fi brosarcoma is rarely found in fi sh. A moribund four years old Goldfi sh (Carassius auratus), was referred veterinary hospital of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz with an exophytic non-ulcerated mass near the caudal peduncle. Microscopic examination of the mass revealed proliferated spindle cells and the interlacing, loose and eosinophilic bundles. For diff erential diagnosis, Masson’ s trichrome staining was performed and the fi bers stained blue. According to histopathological and histochemical results, tumor identifi ed as fi brosarcoma. It is the fi rst report of histopathological features of cutaneous fibrosaracomas in a Goldfi sh in Iran.

FIBROSARCOMA is a malignant mesenchymal neoplasm of fibroblasts that rarely affects the oral cavity and can cause local recurrences or metastasis. FIBROSARCOMAs account for 15% of all soft tissue sarcomas, which represent only 1% of all malignant tumors of the head and neck region. The clinical behavior of the FIBROSARCOMA is characterized by a high local recurrence rate, and low incidence of loco regional lymph node and/or distant hematogenous metastasis. The etiology for FIBROSARCOMA has no definite cause but is thought to occur from preexisting lesions or in previously irradiated areas of bone lesions. Immunosuppression associated with HIV infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) has been consistently linked to various cancers, including Kaposi’s sarcoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and invasive cervical cancer. Rare neoplasms like Hodgkin’s disease, anal cancer, leukemia, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma have also been demonstrated. This paper presents one such a rare incidence of an intraosseous FIBROSARCOMA occurring in an HIV-positive patient.
