Trichogramma wasp is one of the most successful parasitic species in the world, mainly used to control many pests. The effects of field (RC) and half recommended concentrations (half RC) of four Insecticides: 1. Tetraniliprole, 2. Chlorantraniliprole 3. Lufenuron, and 4. Thiocyclam was studied in different preimaginal stages of 1. Trichogramma brassicae Bezdenko and 2. Trichogramma evanescens Westwood (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae). Parasitized eggs of the angoumois grain moth Sitotroga cerealella Olivier (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) were treated by 1. The dipping method at the larval, 2. Prepupal, and 3. Pupal stages of the parasitoid. For persistence evaluation, the Insecticides were applied at the recommended concentration on tomato plants in a pot by a hand sprayer till the Runoff point. Plants were maintained under a transparent polyethylene rain cover in the field. Leaves of the treated tomato plants were sampled and transferred to the laboratory at time intervals of 3, 5, 16, and 31 days after application. In this experiment were adults (< 24 hours old) of T. brassicae and T. evanescens. Based on our results, thiocyclam at both RC and half RC was the most harmful insecticide for immature stages of both parasitoids. This insecticide at the prepupal stage (at both RC and half RC) had more adverse effects than in pupal or larval stages. Tetraniliprole, with 23.33% and 21.11% mortality in less than five days, was classified as the short-lived insecticide for T. brassicae and T. evanescens, respectively. The same result was obtained in the chlorantraniliprole treatment. That caused 25% and 26.11% mortality to the parasitoids, T. brassicae, and T. evanescens. Lufenuron, with 30.55% and 30.00% mortality in less than five days, was short-lived. However, thiocyclam, with 14.44% and 16.67% mortality in less than 30 days and 65.55% and 69.44% mortality in less than five days, was classified as moderately persistent for those two species. Therefore, according to the results, 1. tetraniliprole, 2. chlorantraniliprole, and 3. lufenuron can control lepidopteran pests by observing the appropriate spraying distance to release Trichogramma wasps. Thiocyclam, on the other hand, should be employed with extreme caution.

In order to study the residues of phosphorous Insecticides in Mazandaran district of Iran, Ethion, Azinphosmethyl, Diazinon and Malathion four most used pesticides were chosen and river water samples were collected in April to Sept. 2000, throughout the Mazandaran state. Thin layer chromatography was used, since it was the best applicable method in area with reasonably high level of sensitivity up to 0-01 ppm and acceptable recovery of 80%. Four hundred eighty samples were collected and tested for. The tests indicated maximum amount of residues found in river water was 2.7 ppm for Ethion, and sill detectable up to 0.2 ppm after 4 months at station No.2 of Torkrood. The highest level belonged to the day after application. Three ppm of Azinphosmethyl were observed after first day of application and 0.2 ppm station 2 of Tajan after 5 months 3.1 ppm Malathion and 0.2 ppm in station. No.2 of Tajan river and 3.8 ppm of Diazinon at first day and 0.1 ppm up to five months only in the station No.2 of Tajan river. The duration of showing positive test were 4, 4, 5 and 3 months for Ethion, Azinphosmethyl, Diazinon and Malathion respectively. Matching test results with the environmental condition, proved strong effect of environmental factors, such as temperature, pH of water, amount of rain, physical and chemical characteristics of pesticide, and the time and method of application.

مقدمه: علی رغم اجرای برنامه کنترل مالاریا در طول سالیان متمادی، هنوز بیماری مالاریا یکی از معضلات مهم بهداشتی مناطق جنوبی کشور محسوب می گردد. گونه آنوفل استفنسی یکی از مهمترین ناقلین مالاریا در استان هرمزگان و بخصوص در مناطق شهری می باشد. سابقه استفاده از حشره کشها و مقاومت به این حشره کشها طولانی است. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی حساسیت گونه آنوفل استفنسی نسبت به پنج حشره کش شیمیایی رایج بوده است.روش کار: در این مطالعه مقطعی سطح حساسیت گونه آنوفل استفنسی سوش میناب به حشره کشهای ددت %4 فنیتروتیون %1، بندیوکارب %0.1، لمبداسی هالوترین  %0.05و دلتامترین 0.05% مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. جهت انجام این پژوهش از تعداد 800 پشه ماده بالغ سه روزه تغذیه شده با آب قند و کیت استاندارد تست حساسیت سازمان بهداشت جهانی و کاغذهای آغشته به دوزهای تمایزی حشره کش های فوق و روش استاندارد WHO استفاده گردید. نتایج با استفاده از جداول و نمودارهای توصیفی تجزیه و تحلیل شدند.نتایج: نتایج بدست آمده از این تحقیق نشان داد که این گونه نسبت به حشره کشهای بندیوکارب و دلتامترین کاملا حساس است ولی بنظر میرسد که نسبت به حشره کشهای لمبداسی هالوترین، فنیتروتیون وددت، مقداری جزیی مقاومت وجود داشته باشد.نتیجه گیری: در حال حاضر از بین حشره کشهای رایج و مورد مطالعه در این مطالعه حشره کشهای دلتامترین و بندیوکارب مناسب ترین و موثرترین سموم جهت مبارزه با ناقلین مالاریا در مرحله حشره کامل می باشند که میتوان از آنها بصورت متناوب و با کمترین غلظت موثر استفاده کرد.

The toxic effects of herbicides (Machete, Saturn) and pesticides (Diazinon and Malathion) on green algae, Scenedesmus obtusiusculus, and cyanobacteria, Anabaena jlos aquae, were studied. The results indicated that Machete and Saturn, in comparison to Diazinon and Malathion, were more toxic. On the other hand it was revealed that green algae was more sensitive to the pesticides than the cyanobacteria. When we added 3.199 mg/l Machete (EC50 of this toxicant for Anabaenajlos aquae) to a mix algal culture, the growth rate of green algae after 6 days of treatment was reduced 0.95 times, while it was 4.5 for the cyanobacteria. Treating the culture with 10.53 mg/1 of Saturn for the same period of time, revealed that the growth rate for green algae and the cyanobacteria increased 1.19 and 7 times, respectively. Hence, we can conclude that pesticides are capable of decreasing the diversity of the phytoplankton species in an aquatic ecosystem, that from the fisheries point of view could cause serious problems.

Susceptibility levels of a lab strain of An. Stephensi to WHO standard papers of DDT 4%, dieldrin 0.4%, malathion 5%, permethrin 0.25%, lambdacyhalothrin 0.1%, cyfluthrin 0.1% and deltamethrin 0.025% were determined in our laboratory in 1999. Results showed that at the diagnostic dose of Insecticides this species exhibited resistance to DDT and dieldrin with mortality rate of 54±2.5% and 30±2.5%, respectively. Malathion 5% caused 96±1% mortality. Permethrin killed 90±2% of the populations. Alpha-cyano groups of pyrethroids, e.g., deltamethrin, cyfluthrin and lambdacyhalothrin had highest efficacy, the mortality was 99.5±0.5, 100%, and 99±0.5% respectively. The results of irritability of this species to lambdacyhalothrin, permethrin cyfluthrin and deltamethrin revealed that lambdacyhalothrin had the most and deltamethrin the least irritancy effect. The average number of take offs/fly/minutes for lambdacyhalothrin and deltamethrin were 1.699±0.35 and 0.946±0.13%, respectively. For permethrin and cyfluthrin the equivalent values were 1.52±0.2 and 1.385±0.25, respectively.
