IN THIS STUDY, THE NITRATION OF PHENYLACETYLENE (H-C≡C-PH) WAS INVESTIGATED. THE INVESTIGATION OF THE PRODUCT HAS SHOWN THAT THE TRIPLE BOND OF THE ACETYLENIC PART OF PHENYLACETYLENE HAS PARTICIPATED IN THE NITRATION PROCESS. IT MEANS THAT IN THE REACTION CONDITION THE ADDITIONAL REACTION ON THE-C≡C- OF PHENYLACETYLENE IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE SUBSTITUTION REACTION ON PH- GROUP. THE STRUCTURES OF THE PRODUCTS WERE ANALYZED BY THE DATA OF IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR AND MS SPECTROSCOPY. THE B3LYP/6-31G* SHOWS THAT THE TRANS-B-NITROSTYRENE IS MORE STABLE THAN ITS CISFORM.THE HOMO LEVEL OF THE TRANS- AND CIS- ISOMERS OF B -NITROSTYRENE ARE -6.95 AND -6.90EV, RESPECTIVELY. THE EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THIS STUDY WILL BE PRESENTED.

Abstract: 

Nitrophenols 2a-j were synthesized in moderate to high yields via nitration of phenols by antimony nitrate, Sb (NO3) 3.5H2O, as an efficient nitrating reagent. The reactions were carried out at room temperature by grinding equimolar amounts of phenol compound and Sb (NO3) 3.5H2O in an ice-water bath.

Abstract: 

BENZO DIAZEPINES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES HAVE ATTRACTED CONSIDERABLE ATTENTION FROM RESEARCHERS DUE TO THEIR BIOACTIVE AND PHARMACEUTICAL PROPERTIES. MANY MEMBERS OF THIS FAMILY ARE WIDELY USED AS ANTICONVULSANT, ANTI-ANXIETY, ANTI-SEIZURES, ANALGESIC, SEDITATIVE, ANTIDEPRESSIVE AND HYPNOTIC OR ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS [1, 2].ALSO THE STUDIES ON THESTRUCTURE ACTIVITY RELATIONSHIP (SAR) OF BENZO DIAZEPINES HAVE SHOWN THAT EXISTENCE OF ELECTRON WITHDRAWING GROUP (EWG), SUCH AS NITRO (NO2) ON THE BENZENE RING AT THE BENZO DIAZEPINE DERIVATIVES CAN INCREASE THEIR EFFECTIVENESS.BECAUSE WE NEED BENZO DIAZEPINE DERIVATIVES FOR USING IN OUR FUTURE PLAN STUDY, WE PERFORMED A REACTION IN WHICH DIRECT NITRATION OF BENZO DIAZEPINE WAS DONE. DUE TO THE LOW YIELD OF THE SYNTHESIS OF BENZO DIAZEPINES BY O-PHENYLENE DIAMINES WITH ELECTRON WITH DRAWING GROUPS SUCH AS NITRO (NO2), AFTER SYNTHESIZING THE BENZO DIAZEPINES WE COULD GET NEW DERIVATIVES OF THEM BY NITRATION. AS A RESULT, WE REDUCED ONE OF THEM TO TURN INTO RELEVANT AMINO-BENZO DIAZEPINE [3].

Abstract: 

The chemistry of nitration reactions is a very powerful tool for the synthesis of pharmaceutical molecules and biological compounds. Carbon-nitrogen (C-N) bond formation is one of the most important reactions in organic synthesis, which plays a key role in the synthesis of biologically active and targeted molecules. Nitro compounds are very useful and have shown their importance in various medical, environmental and military fields for the synthesis of energetic and explosive compounds. Nitration reactions are conducted through various methods and employing diverse reagents, illustrating the multiplicity of their synthesis pathways. Diversifying the chemistry of nitro compounds offers a promising avenue for generating novel targeted molecules, showcasing the potential of these substances and the method itself. The objective herein is to highlight a selection of reagents and pathways for synthesizing nitro compounds that have garnered significant interest from research groups in recent years.

Abstract: 

Binders and plasticizers containing energetic groups such as nitro (-NO2), fluorodinitro (FC (NO2)2-), difluoroamino (-NF2), azide (-N3) and nitrate (-ONO2) have been developed and used in formulation of energetic materials. In this research paper, the synthesis of a high N-component energetic material possessing both energetic functional groups ONO2 and N3 in its molecular structure has been investigated. This compound is Azidodeoxycellulose nitrate (II). To reach the target molecule, nitration of azidodeoxycellulose (I) was peiformed using acetic anhydride, 98% HN03 at 0oC in CH2Cl2 Solvent. The presence of azido groups and the enhancement of nitrogen percent were confirmed by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The heat of explosion and the volume of the obtained gas were investigated by calorimetric and gasometric methods respectively.
