In order to gain a better understanding and explanation of the issue of research, the quantitative and qualitative data can be mixed. Mixed research strategy is based on mixing these two groups of data. In this article, after reviewing the philosophical basis of mixed research, and quantitative and qualitative strategies, three mixed research PROPOSALs: pluralism, explanatory, and discovery are proposed and the main steps in performing mixed research are explicitly provided.

The PROPOSAL ceremony is an introduction to wedding ceremony and starting a family. In the past, the PROPOSAL ceremony was held in a traditional way. Over the time, with the communities becoming more sophisticated, the traditional PROPOSAL has taken a modern form. The study is to find out the attitude of the young girls toward the two kinds of PROPOSAL ceremony: traditional and modern. For this purpose, 150 subjects were selected randomly from the Refah University students. The study has been performed by a descriptive-explanatory method. An author-made questionnaire was used to collect the data. Descriptive and inferential statistics, including Chi-Square tests and Pearson correlation coefficient, were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the girls are willing to be proposed for in the modern way.

The Recent development of 2-DOF electrical machines leads to increasing need for 2-DOF position sensors. Using a planar sensor instead of two linear ones decreases the complexity, and cost of the employed drive. Therefore, in this paper a new slotless configuration is proposed for the planar resolver, that simplifies the manufacturing of the sensor. Then, the optimal combination of the stator/mover number of coils is determined based on the proposed analytical model. Finally, to reduce the number of integrated parts of the proposed resolver, a new configuration with skewed coils is proposed. The success of the developed model and the presented configuration is validated using three-dimensional finite element analysis.

This paper focuses on soft power as a means of simultaneous defense and offense (without in-depth discussion of the nature of soft threats) before discussing potential and actual soft power capacities of the Islamic Republic. It also elaborates on possible applications of this immense source of national power to both head off soft threats and impress target societies in an offensive manner. In fact, the main hypothesis of this paper is that overemphasis on the concept of "soft threat" will cause the Islamic Republic to ignore its "soft power" resources, especially in cultural and civilizational fields, and unconsciously take a defensive position when formulating and implementing relevant policies.
