Abstract:

Global order has an immediate effect on international relations(IR). The upcoming world order is one of the main concerns of scholars and practitioners of this discipline. It seems the post-World War liberal order evolving into an unsettled order. One of the most important foundations of any order is to explore the features of Polarity, which somehow represents the distribution of power. The main question is “How could distribution of power at a global level and the form of Polarity in the upcoming world order”. This article is a theoretical examination to address the relationship between Order and Polarity. The results indicate that the upcoming order will be the thematic order in which the relative advantages (material and cognitive capabilities) of great powers, in each theme have been materialized. In that kind of order, polarization will form within each theme to distribute power and regulate interactions between powers in the same theme. This kind of Polarity named as “Embedded Polarity” depicts the relations of great powers in every field. Embeddedness means that cooperation like competition has been inherited from each theme. Therefore, the interaction of powers depends on the on-ground situation in each field. This new emerging concept of Polarity will shape the upcoming world order.

Abstract:

In a Social Network Service (SNS), a large amount of data with a variety of characteristics is generated through voluntary participation of users. These data are called “Big Social Data.” Big social data can identify not only content registered on the web but also the relations of the friends of users. One of the most representative studies on SNS is analysis of the characteristics of social content and social relations, because SNS users tend to add people who are in close contact with them and have similar interests to their list of friends. Finding new knowledge from these large amounts of big social data can be very useful. This paper proposes a Polarity analysis method for discovering hidden knowledge based on formal concept analysis in SNSs called PA-DHK. Further, we show, via experiments, that our data analysis approach can be applied to knowledge discovery using association rules.

Abstract:

THE INCREASING GROWTH OF WEB HAS GIVEN PEOPLE THE ABILITY TO SIMPLY EXPRESS THEIR OPINION AND KNOW OTHERS’ OPINION. MINING VIEWPOINTS AND OPINION OR SENTIMENT ANALYSIS IS CONSIDERED AS A SUBFIELD OF TEXT MINING AND ITS MAIN GOAL IS TO FIND WRITER’S OPINION ABOUT A TOPIC. MEETING THIS GOAL IS NOT A SIMPLE TASK SINCE EMOTIONS IN A SENTENCE OR A PHRASE ARE USUALLY RECOGNIZED BY COMBINING EMOTIONS OF ITS WORDS. IN THIS PAPER, WE CONCENTRATE ON BIPOLAR TERMS WHICH ARE THOSE PHRASES CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE POSITIVE AND ONE NEGATIVE WORD. IN ORDER TO CONSIDER BIPOLAR TERMS, PHRASES WITH OPPOSING Polarity ARE FIRST EXTRACTED FROM PERSENT DATASET THEN, BASED ON THE WORDS OF THESE PHRASES AND THEIR Polarity IN THE SENTENCE THE FINAL SCORE IS COMPUTED. THEN, THE SCORE OF EACH SENTENCE IS CALCULATED USING CNRC LEXICON AND MAXIMUM OF ABSOLUTE VALUES, DIFFERENCE, AND AVERAGE METHODS WITH AND WITHOUT CONSIDERING BIPOLAR TERMS. THE RESULTS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROPOSED METHOD SHOW THAT EMPLOYING BIPOLAR TERMS IMPROVES THE LEXICON-BASED APPROACH FOR BOTH Polarity DETECTION AND SCORE PREDICTION PROBLEMS.

Abstract:

The Wiener Polarity index Wp(G) of a molecular graph G of order n is the number of unordered pairs of vertices u, u of G such that the distance d (u, v) between u and u is 3. In an earlier paper, some extremal properties of this graph invariant in the class of catacondensed hexagonal systems and fullerene graphs were investigated. In this paper, some new bounds for this graph invariant are presented. A relationship between Wiener and Wiener Polarity index of some classes of graphs are also presented.

Abstract:

Let G be a simple connected graph. The generalized Polarity Wiener index of G is defined as the number of unordered pairs of vertices of G whose distance is k. Some formulas are obtained for computing the generalized Polarity Wiener index of the Cartesian product and the tensor product of graphs in this article.

Abstract:

Polarity is the opposition between positive and negative and Modality is the speaker’ s judgment about the proposition and proposal. In fact, modality is the space between ‘ yes’ and ‘ no’ . In this study, four main types of modality including “ epistemic” , “ evidential” , “ deontic” and “ dynamic” from Palmer's point of view, and three types of negation including “ nuclear negation” , “ core negation” and “ clause/ sentence negation” based on Role and Reference Grammar of VanValin were introduced and then the relationship between them was investigated in the Persian. In order to determine the Polarity of the nucleus, the presence or absence of a negative prefix, and to determine the Polarity of the core, the relationship of the verb and its arguments has been considered. To detect the Polarity of the sentence, two tests of “ tag question” and “ lie test” were used. Examination of the data showed that when the modality of the sentence is changed, the Polarity of the sentence is changed as well. It seems that the combination of modality and Polarity is a strategy for language users to be able to formulate the same propositional meanings in different ways according to different contexts, and thus follow different discourse purposes.

Abstract:

Most of probiotic Lactobacilli adhere to intestinal surfaces, a phenomenon influenced by free fatty acids. this projectto increase hydrophobicity properties of bacterial cell surface and increase performance of them, was designed and for this purpose, MRS broth media including saturated (palmitic acid, stearic acid), unsaturated fatty acids (α-linolenic acid, ɣlinolenic acid, linoleic acid, Arachidonic acid, oleic acid etc), mix of them and control (without fatty acids), for growth Lactobacillus rhamnosus and a commercial starter was investigated. Extraction, saponification and methylation of Fat-cell bacteria by gas chromatography was measured. Changes in hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties of cultured bacteria were estimated with ethylacetat (polar solvent), octan (non polar solvent) and spectrophotometric method. The results of this analysis indicated that addition of free fatty acids to culture medium causes changes in cellular fatty acid bacteria and the results of membrane Polarity index showed that medium included mix of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids in particular in starter bacteria, have more affinity for polar solvent and starter bacteria in medium including unsaturated fatty acids causes significant increase ratio of unsaturated fatty acids to saturated in cell bacteria. Lactobacillus rhamnosus in all of experiments showed Nonpolar properties (tendency to bind to the intestinal mucosa).

Abstract:

Online medical reviews contain patients’ subjective evaluations and reflect their satisfaction with the treatment process and doctors. Mining and analysis of sentiment expressed in these medical data may be vital for different applications including adverse drug effects detection, doctor recommendation, and healthcare quality assessment. Nevertheless, medical sentiment analysis is a challenging and complex task because patients who write the reviews are usually non-professional users and tend to use informal language. The problem is more challenging in the Persian language due to its resource scarcity and complex structure. In this study, we introduce PODOR, a Persian dataset of online doctor reviews extracted from social web. Also, we propose a deep model based on the bidirectional long short-term memory for Polarity detection of PODOR reviews. To show the effectiveness and suitability of the proposed model, we compared the model with six traditional supervised machine learning methods and three deep models. Preliminary comparative results indicated that our model outperformed traditional methods by 8% and 7%, and deep models by 2% and 3% in terms of accuracy and f1-measure.
