Abstract:

Introduction: Two of the stories mentioned in the Qur'an are the story of Adam and the Forbidden Tree and the Story of Moses going to the Right Side of the Valley and hearing the Tree. These stories are of much interest to the scholars and mentioned in many of the mystic texts and commentaries in prose and verse such as Meibodi's Kashaf al-Asrar, Tamhidat of Ein al-Ghozat, works of Ruzbehan Baqli, Shabestari's Golshan-e Raz, Mathnavi of Mowlavi, Mersad al-Ebad of Najm al-Din Razi and many more. The Tree in both stories is a mystical symbol. In this paper the symbolic meanings of these two Trees are analyzed and compared. This is a comparative study of two symbols in religious and mystical texts. The Qur'anic symbol of Tree (forbidden and Moses') are analyzed. Discussion: In many instances such as verse 35 of Baqara, verse 19 of 'Iraf and verse 12 of Taha, the Qur'an refers to the story of Adam and the Forbidden Tree. Mystics have interpreted the Forbidden Tree as the physical world, divine secrets, the knowledge of destiny and fate, wisdom, love and union.Seid Heidar Amoli considers the Forbidden Tree the symbol of the physical world which will result in leaving the Garden of Eden. Aziz al-Din Nasafi considers the Forbidden Tree as the Tree of wisdom and a reminder of free will; the result of this free will is doubt and only love of God can free man from doubt. In 'Araes al-Bayan and Sharh-e Shatthiyat Ruzbehan regards the Tree as the secret of love. Attar referring to verse 35 of Baqara believes that the Tree is the Tree of union. Meibodi says that union as a sign of the Forbidden Tree also reminds one of the pain and suffering of proximity. In verse 30 of Qisas the story of Moses and his departure to the Right Side of the Valley is told. The Tree of Moses has allegorical meanings such as absolute existence, the sacred soul of man, the light of Mohammad (PBUH), the power of thinking, love, knowledge, monotheism and union. Seid Heidar Amoli and Ruzbehan consider the Tree of Moses as the absolute existence. Conclusion: Revelation has descended in a multidimensional language. Mystics have interpreted Qur'anic stories from different points of view due to their allegorical meanings. Interpretations of the mystics show that the Forbidden Tree means love and the Tree of Moses means the sacred soul of man. According to mystics these stories are abstract concepts such as love, wisdom, knowledge and union. Different intuitions, mystical experiences and interpretation of Qur'anic verses by different mystics have led to a rich body of literature which testifies to the still hidden meanings of the Divine subject.

Abstract:

In this paper, we develop a non-visual automatic wrapper to extract data records from search engine results pages which contain important information for computer users. Our wrapper consists of a series of data filter to detect and remove irrelevant data from the web page. In the filtering stages, we incorporate two main algorithms which are able to check the similarity of data records and to detect and extract the correct data region based on their component sizes. To evaluate the performance of our algorithm, we carry out experimental and deletion tests. Experimental tests show that our wrapper outperforms the existing state of the art wrappers such as ViNT and DEPTA. Deletion studies by replacing our novel techniques with state of the art conventional techniques show that our wrapper design is efficient and could robustly extract data records from search engine results pages. With the speed advantages, our wrapper could be beneficial in processing large amount of web sites data, which could be helpful in meta search engine development.

Abstract:

Satellite products are the only available data source with adequate spatial coverage, however, their data do not match the observed values and have biases, although this discrepancy cannot be fixed precisely, however, a solution to reduce the bias is data recalibration. Currently, machine learning techniques are used to improve the accuracy of forecasting various types of weather phenomena, so regression solving such problems through methods based on machine learning and deep learning is very efficient. The daily precipitation of 19 rain gauge stations of the Ministry of Energy between 2010 and 2021 was extracted and compared to the average values of their corresponding daily precipitation pixels in the ERA5 database. To measure the data, three algorithms D-Tree, KNN, and MLP were used. The range of changes of correlation coefficient in MLP, D-Tree, and KNN is equal to [0.87, 0.98], [0.75, 0.97], and [0.4, 0.87], respectively. In addition, the range of changes for RMSE in MLP varies from 0.7 to 2.4 mm per day, and these changes for D-Tree and KNN are calculated between 0.8 to 2.2 and 1.2 to 2.5, respectively. In 75% of stations, RMSE in MLP, D-Tree, and KNN algorithms is less than 1.5, 1.9, and 2.2 mm per day, respectively. The range of bias changes in MLP is [0.18, -0.6 mm per day] and this range of changes for D-Tree and KNN is respectively [0.16, 0.5 mm per day] and [0.6, -0.8 mm per day] have been calculated. The bias of corrected data and observed values in MLP, D-Tree, and KNN algorithms for the middle of the stations is -0.09, -0.11, and -0.16 mm per day, respectively. The evaluation of the performance of three machine learning algorithms (MLP, D-Tree, and KNN) in correcting the daily precipitation of the ERA5 database and the comparison of CC, RMSE, and bias statistical indices for the reproduced data compared to ground values showed that in all three statistical indices, the MLP algorithm works better than the others and has good accuracy for correcting the daily precipitation.

Abstract:

Shahnameh is a unique text that has been challenged by scholars in the field of Shahnameh due to the fact that the text and vocabulary of the text are old, as well as its rare words. In the part of Shahnameh, which is related to Zal's performance against Manuchehr, a bit has come in this sense. Zal threw a beam when the horse was running, and that shot struck the lion's Tree and penetrated it. Of course, in some of Shahnameh's books, instead of the lactating Tree, the lion's sword has come. Those who brought this term and the commentators of Ferdowsi's poetry who took milk in the sense of a wild animal have not been aware of one point. The point is that the ancient Persian poets of livestock did not rhymes in the meaning of the wildlife, because their pronunciation varies in the word "ya". Nardshir is here in the sense of lumbering Trees that comes out of gum and sap. The similarity of the milk in the meaning of the jungle animal and drinking liquid milk caused this mistake in the versions. In the story of Siavash, the word Nordshir is distorted to the green Tree.

Abstract:

IntroductionThe rapid growth of cities and the process of industrialization have created numerous environmental problems across many parts of the world. It is essential for planners and managers to be aware of changes in land cover and land use over extended periods to evaluate and predict the impacts caused by these changes. Remote sensing is an effective tool for monitoring land use changes in urban areas and their surroundings. Tehran has expanded significantly over the last few decades due to population growth and migration, leaving substantial effects on the surrounding environment. Consequently, this study presents a model based on the decision Tree algorithm to classify and monitor land use changes using images from TM and MSS sensors in the western region of Tehran between 1975 and 2011. Materials and methodsIn this study, one MSS sensor image and three TM sensor images from the Landsat satellite, all taken in June, were used along with ancillary data, specifically a digital elevation model extracted from the 1:25000 topographic map of the Mapping Organization. After pre-processing, land cover indices, including vegetation index, DT method, and its combination with the maximum likelihood classification method, were used to extract land use classes. The accuracy of the classified images obtained from the DT was evaluated using the kappa coefficient and overall accuracy, and finally, the changes in different land use classes over time were calculated using the image comparison method. Results and discussionAccording to this study's findings, the overall classification accuracy for 2011 is 82%. The results of change monitoring indicate a positive and increasing trend in the density of built-up land over the 36-year period, while other land types have decreased. The density of the built-up land class in 1975, with an area of 2166 hectares (equivalent to 8%), increased to 8125 hectares (29%) by 2011. In total, the percentage of relative change is 21%, equivalent to 5959 hectares. By examining the land use changes in the west of Tehran from 1975 to 2011, shown in the maps, it is evident that urban development and increased demand for various services, coupled with a lack of adequate space, have led to the destruction of green spaces in the western part of Tehran, replaced by other land uses. ConclusionThis research aimed to monitor land use/cover in the west of Tehran with high classification accuracy using a model based on the DT algorithm combined with the maximum likelihood classification method. Multi-temporal satellite images from the Landsat satellite’s TM and MSS sensors, along with ancillary data, were used to conduct the research. After preparing a land use map for each period, a map depicting land cover and land use changes was extracted. The results of this research indicate that remote sensing data combined with classification techniques have a high capability to extract various types of land use maps and evaluate land use changes. Moreover, Landsat’s MSS and TM sensor data prove to be suitable and cost-effective tools for depicting and analyzing land use/cover changes over time. Additionally, the findings highlight that using a branching or multi-stage method for classifying satellite images offers advantages such as reduced processing time, improved accuracy in small classes, and the ability to use different data sources, feature sets, and algorithms at each decision-making stage.

Abstract:

In some communities, Tree had been revered and worshiped. Tree in its oldest vision is a giant cosmic Tree, which is the symbol of the universe and Creation. With regards to the close relationship between the Tree and human life, many communities have attributed a sense of sanctity to the Tree. The relationship between the man, the Tree and its holiness was in a way that people in some communities believed man was born from the Tree. This belief affected a part of the ritual, magic and aesthetic ceremonies of some nations. On the other hand, in some images, this is the Tree which has grown out of the human body. The Talking Tree and Wak Wak Tree are instances of legendary Trees which have entered into the Islamic art and culture. The different forms of illustrations of Wak Wak which have been drawn by Iranian painters depict the blend of the decorative and imaginative compositions in a beautiful manner. In this article, we aim to find out answers to the following questions:1- What is the similarity between the Tree and the man in the beliefs and legends of different nations?2- What is the relationship between the sacred Tree, the Tree of life, Talking Tree, and Wak Wak’s forms?Hypothesis: The common capabilities of man and Tree can be mentioned as fertility, growth and procreation. Tree has been posed as a symbol of fertility and procreation besides the man, thus there exists a close relationship between these two creatures, which has led to the creation of extraordinary myths. With regard to this issue, the sacred Tree, the Tree of life, the talking Tree and the Wak Wak Tree with the human and animal fruits have resulted into the formation of Wak Wak through a process. This research aims to understand the relationship between the Tree and human thoughts as well as the public beliefs reflected in fictions and various forms of arts.It may be interesting to note that few studies have been carried out in this field in Iran and they mostly described Wak Wak’s forms.
