University WEBSITES play an important role in disseminating educational and research information to universities. They are a vital port for accessing the universities' scientific information for researchers, faculty members, and students. The goal of this study was to compare evaluation methods such as Web Assessment Index (WAI), Web Quality Evaluation Method (WebQEM), and webometrics for evaluating Iranian state university WEBSITES. In this analytical survey, the data collection tools were checklists prepared by the Web QEM ,WAI, and webometrics. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and analytic statistics (Spearman's rank-difference correlation coefficient) were used for data analysis. The results indicated that Iranian state university WEBSITES were in a good condition (mean=75.14) according to four main criteria in WebQEM, in a good condition (mean=69.52) according to five main criteria in WAI, and in a very good condition (mean=88) according to five main criteria in webometrics. Also, differences can be seen in ranking of university WEBSITES. Only Ferdowsi University of Mashhad was in first place in terms of the three assessment methods. The hypotheses assumed that there was a positive correlation between WebQEM, WAI, and webometrics. Using the results of this study could help university website designers to fix weaknesses in order to to reach an active participation in these WEBSITES.

Introduction: consumers have referred to the web to learn how they can improve their health, prevent disease and learn details about specific diseases. While efforts are being made to monitor information found on the web especially with the emergence of HER: Electronic Health Record in Iran, they are not enough to cover every web site with health information.As a result, it was decided to evaluate health-related web sites in Iran.Methods: It is a cross-sectional study in which first the theoretical principles underlying health-related web sites were examined. Then a macro-model and a checklist were designed for their evaluation. The data collection instruments were validated by experts. Eight Iranian health-related systems were selected and quality audited by the researcher.Results: Findings revealed that the evaluated web sites are not of high quality compared to quality standards and this was mostly apparent in executive health care organizations.Conclusion: comparing the results of this study with similar ones in other countries, it can be said that there are opportunities for enhancing the quality of health-related web sites in Iran.There are also some suggestions in this regard for the stakeholders.

This article emphasizes on the key characteristics of university WEBSITES. ‎After studying the WEBSITES of top universities in the world, the author ‎suggests a framework for the university WEBSITES in Iran.‎

The internet is an important tool to support the right to freedom of expression; through facilitating publication, search, and access to information, it has prepared the ground for the application of this fundamental right. Today, there is no doubt that the development of the Internet and the continued application of the new communication tool requires a developed and coherent legal system. In addition to supporting the fundamental freedoms of media, and avoiding possible abuses of this freedom, the expected legal system should be able to ensure cheap, sustainable and secure access to the media. This paper attempts to examine and study the most important issues of the legal system of news WEBSITES, including the regulations around such issues as establishment, monitoring, assessment, as well as blocking. The results of the study shows how despite the effective measure, the existing legal system for news WEBSITES is not efficient and cannot meet the current needs.

WEBSITES are considered as one of the message tools with unique properties with regard to the modern communications. For this purpose, taking into consideration the page layout and graphic value or structure, considerably influencesthe further development of this relationship. The research objective is to determine what patterns are followed by structure of IRIB TV channels web pages, to introduce TV channels WEBSITES and their graphic properties, and to develop artistic knowledge in the field of website design. The research method is descriptive-analytical using library sources. The statistical population includes 21 samples of IRIB channels web homepagesbased on selective procedure. In this research, case study of IRIB TV1 Channel is taken into consideration. Therefore, initially the images from these WEBSITES are collected, thenusing computer, substitution of separated elements, and finally their relationships and configuration of the work are offered to understand the production mode and web pages functions and realization of specialized concepts onthe result of the work. This research attempts to answer the two following questions: What properties do graphic structures of IRIB TV channels WEBSITES have? What are the differences of IRIB TV channels WEBSITES with each other in terms of graphic structures (model)? This research shows that IRIB TV channels have more used elements of «image» and «color surfaces» in their structures and most of the structure of IRIB TV channels WEBSITES is based on golden ratio (about 57. 1%). IRIB TV channels WEBSITES contain long and busy homepages which should be recovered and changed to access the pages with proper configuration, site activity and attractive page layout to attract more users.

This article aims to find a set of appropriate features that a Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) should have for managing Iranian library website. Firs, using a checklist prepared by the researcher, features of some of the best university library WEBSITES of the world (in US, UK, Canada, and Australia) were studied. The results of this stage then were used to modify the checklist. In the next stage, the modified checklist was used to evaluate some of the existing WCMSs. Finally, Iranian university library WEBSITES were evaluated using the checklist. The results of the first phase showed that 44.40% of features and elements existed in the best world university library WEBSITES. Results of the second phase showed WCMSs in the market do not have 25% of the required elements of university library WEBSITES. And the results of the third phase showed that only 20% of elements and features existed on the Iranian library WEBSITES.

Introduction: Provision of infrastructure facilities and technology with new interaction between patient and physician - to get medical and health information - increased the usage of internet while there is no control on the quality of delivered information by WEBSITES in health and medicine field that affects human life , is very important. One way for reliability of information quality is consider some criteria, such as Silberg criteria.Methods: This is a survey research, 75 Persian medical and health WEBSITES were surveyed by silberg criteria .These WEBSITES content search in two search engine yahoos, Google and website of health and medical education ministry and some of Persian subject directory like linkestan, link, hotlink. Then silberg criteria check list for these WEBSITES were filled with direct observation. Then collected data analyzed in spss statistical software.Results: Results showed that half of WEBSITES introduced their references. (first principle in silberg base), about 67% of WEBSITES introduced their authors (second principle in silberg) while, only 16% of WEBSITES have no responsibility for published information in their WEBSITES , and only 20 percent of WEBSITES mentioned date of website establishment. Scores that gained from Silberg criteria were between 0-8 from total score 9 and any of WEBSITES don't get total score.Conclusion: This research showed undesirable quality of presented information in Persian medical and health WEBSITES. As a result a Persian user who wants to use internet as a information resource should get a consultation with specialists and also search with complete intelligence.

This study is aimed at identifying features that make news related media appealing. Participants in the study were chosen from news correspondents, university professors and news experts. The data were collected through interviews where the key question was "what factors do affect the way viewers use news related WEBSITES? " The analysis was made using the paradigm model of Strauss and Corbin. The results show how the following features affect the model used by viewers while referring to news WEBSITES: educational parameters, cyberspace effects, management styles, infrastructure factors and international communications. The interfering factors keeping the study from achieving its goals are as follows: ideological contradictions, factionalized media, de-globalization, mismanagement, technical shortcomings, fake and contradicting news, poor content, not being updated, organizational difficulties. Strategies suggested to make news WEBSITES more appealing are managerial, applicable, international, precautionary and infrastructural. Organizational implications are the key result of applying the aforementioned strategies. It has been emphasized that quality content exceeds all the other factors in making a news website more appealing to viewers.

Background and aim: Presenting e-services via NAJA WEBSITES will significantly save time and cost for users. The aim of this study was to survey on visibility of NAJA WEBSITES, rank and relate these WEBSITES based on link interaction together and identifying core WEBSITES of these organizations.Material and methods: Current research as a webometrics method evaluated the links among I.R Iran police WEBSITES by using links analysis. In order to identify and introduce the core WEBSITES, Au = t/n formula was used.Findings: Findings reveal that NAJA WEBSITES are weak in terms of links and collaboration. Current study indicates that 2 WEBSITES of Rahvar Police and NAJA Police are core WEBSITES of I.R Iran police.Conclusion: Since NAJA WEBSITES have common contents, if they exchange the links with together, their visibility will be increased.
