Abstract: 

photovoltaic systems are a sustainable environment-friendly means of furnishing electricity. Building-Integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) is a concept with growing popularity. This paper explains design principles for a BIPV system and describes different types of such systems such as roof-integrated, façade-integrated, etc. Then the impact of building form and location on the performance of BIPV systems are mentioned to provide recommendations for choice of an appropriate BIPV system.

Abstract: 

In this study, thermodynamic and economic analysis of a photovoltaic electricity generation system (PVEGS) with and without self‐ cleaning panels is reported. In the first part, thermodynamic analyses are used to characterize the performance of the system. In the second part, the economic comparison of photovoltaic electricity generation with and without self‐ cleaning panels is carried out for all climate zones of Iran. A computer simulation program using EES software is developed to model the solar photovoltaic electricity generation system in four different climates of Iran. The solar photovoltaic system provides electricity during the year. Our goal is to point out the potential of electricity production using conventional panels compared to self‐ cleaning panels under the same condition. The analysis involves the specification of the effects of varying solar radiation intensity (SRI) on the electricity generation rate of the photovoltaic electricity generation system. The average output power values for the solar photovoltaic system with self‐ cleaning panels and the solar photovoltaic system without self‐ cleaning panels are found to be 50767 and 48120 kWh/year, respectively, which means that the solar photovoltaic system with self‐ cleaning panels has the higher performance than the solar photovoltaic system without self‐ cleaning panels in all climate zones of Iran.

Abstract: 

SOLAR ENERGY IS AMONG THE MOST SIGNIFICANT RENEWABLE ENERGIES IN IRAN, SINCE THE MAJORITY OF REGIONS IN IRAN HAVE A REMARKABLE POTENTIAL TO EXPLOIT SOLAR ENERGY. FOR EXAMPLE, IN THE CITY OF MASHHAD, CONSIDERING THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION AND 313 SUNNY DAYS OUT OF 365 DAYS PER YEAR, SOLAR ENERGY IS APPLICABLE IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIAL AND HOUSEHOLD SECTIONS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAPER IS ASSESSING THE FEASIBILITY OF USING A photovoltaic SYSTEM TO SUPPLY THE ELECTRICAL LOAD REQUIRED FOR A RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN MASHHAD AS A CASE OF HOUSEHOLD USES. RESULTS OF THIS STUDY SHOW THAT THE USE OF THESE SYSTEMS IN RESIDENTIAL COMPLEXES IS JUSTIFIABLE, SO THAT WITH THE INITIAL INVESTMENT OF 200 MILLION RIALS, THE INTERNAL RATE OF RETURN IN A RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX WITH AN AVERAGE USE OF 400 KW PER MONTH FOR EACH UNIT IS 22.83 PERCENT.

Abstract: 

This paper proposes a novel analysis method for inner resistances of photovoltaic (PV) module. The main objectives are to obtain the resistance parameters of PV modules by adjusting I-V equation and voltage equation of diode and to find the relationship between resistance parameters and power. Firstly, values of serial and parallel resistance at maximum power point are concluded. Secondly, the curves of serial and parallel resistance are obtained when load increased from zero to infinity. Thirdly, the relationship between parallel resistance and power is obtained and the influence caused by ignorance of resistances is analyzed. Finally, simulation and experimental results of photovoltaic module show that the method is correct and feasible.

Abstract: 

At present, with the significant growth of energy consumption, increase of greenhouse gases and environmental pollutants, more attention is directed toward renewable energies. Renewable energies include geothermal, wind, photovoltaic energy and etc. Among the advantages of photovoltaic energy, its wide range and easy access, helping to preserve the environment, compatibility with distributed power networks, low noise, quick installation and lower cost compared to other energies can be noted. Important challenges facing photovoltaic systems are changing climatic conditions and parameters variation that affect the performance of the system. In this paper, to track the maximum power point in a photovoltaic system, a fuzzy fractional order sliding mode controller based on disturbance observer and uncertainty estimator using neural network is designed. The sliding mode control is used to reduce chattering, neural network to estimate the system uncertainties, fuzzy system to estimate the coefficient of the signum function in the control law and disturbance observer to approximate the disturbances in the system. Also, the stability of the system has been proven using the Lyapunov method. The simulation results of the photovoltaic system confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method and shows satisfactory performance

Abstract: 

Using DC micro-grid to connect more efficiently with DC output has increased. The sources are photovoltaic and energy storage systems. The conversion losses of the sources for supplying the loads are reduced compared to the AC micro-grid. This method aims at combining the above methods to achieve maximum use of Renewable Energy and Energy Storage and enhancing the efficiency of the grid by using the Active power Filter and applying the DC to DC converter to boost the conversion efficiency and load management with having island inputs and the way to manage the inputs in the state of load disturbance and exit of one of the island inputs from the circuit is rapid injection of energy stored into the grid in the quickest time and the coordinated control between grid and photovoltaic system and battery have been studied in MATLAB/SIMULINK software. The amount of simulation time will be considered 0. 5 seconds.
