In Iran the hazardous waste produced from factories and hospitals has grown rapidly over the past years. A study throughout the country shows the need for new capacity to meet the growing waste demand.One of the most important factors, which should be considered in new hazardous material disposal center construction process, is the location of the disposal center. The suitability of selected site for waste disposal affects the amount of generated energy and the cost of disposal production. Suitable sites should be determined on the basis of technical, economic and socio-environmental issues. Therefore, multiple criteria should be considered in this process.GIS along with appropriate models and spatial analysis method can be used to define the suitability of different locations for the construction of disposal centers or landfills.This research has focused on determining suitable locations for construction of a suitable disposal site. At first, important parameters in hazardous material disposal sitting were identified. Then, the maps of studied area were prepared and integrated. Boolean overlay index and fuzzy logic model were used for integrating of maps. Finally the suitable locations for the construction of hazardous material disposal site were selected using each model.
