چکیده: 

A TYPICAL MEDICAL MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) CONTAINS A LARGE ELECTROMAGNET CAPABLE OF CREATING A STATIC MAGNETIC FIELD IN THE RANGE OF 0.5 TESLA (T) TO 3.0 T WITH A UNIFORMITY ACROSS THE TUNNEL OF 0.5 PARTS PER MILLION (PPM). THE CENTRAL VOLUME, IN WHICH PATIENTS ARE PLACED, IS CALLED THE TUNNEL. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS WORK IS TO DESIGN A THICK SOLENOID COIL FOR MRI SCANNER. TWO KEY FACTORS IN THIS DESIGN ARE FIELD HOMOGENEITY AND MINIMUM WIRED VOLUME CONSUMPTION. IN TERMS OF FIELD HOMOGENEITY, I MUST APPLY MULTI CONSTRAINS, ONE IS CONSIDERING OF SUPERCONDUCTING FEATURES; ANOTHER IS TO APPLY DISCRETIZING AND CANCELLING METHODS. HERE, RESEARCHES IS FOCUSED ON SECOND KEY FACTOR (NAMELY OPTIMUM WIRED VOLUME).THE PROCEDURE WHICH IS PROPOSED IN THIS PAPER IS SIMULATED BY MATLAB AND MAXWELL 16.0 SOFTWARE WHICH CAN BE USED IN WIDE VARIETY OF SOLENOID COIL DESIGN INDUSTRY, IN THE RANGE FROM MICRO TO MACRO DIMENSION. FOR EXAMPLE IN MACRO RANG, THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL MACHINE IN ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS THAT NAMED SUPERCONDUCTOR MAGNETIC ENERGY STORAGE (SMES), THIS GENERATES STRENGTH FIELD (I.E. A 5 TESLA). AND IN MICRO RANG WE CAN MENTION MINIATURE MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC COILS.

Background: Mosquito coil (allerthrin) is a type of pyrethroid. Few reports describe severe poisoning after ingestion of this common household product. This is the first ever report on severe form of mosquito coil poisoning in adult.Case Report: A case of allerthrin poisoning with neurological and gastrointestinal manifestation reported. A 19 year old house wife belonging to Bengali Hindu community presented after ingesting six pieces of mosquito coil. Initial manifestations were nausea, vomiting, sore throat. During hospital stay she had three episodes of generalized seizure. Level of consciousness altered. She received supportive management as no specific antidote exists. Recovery occurred by several days.Conclusion: Mosquito coil (allerthrin) ingestion can infrequentl induce medical emergency.

چکیده: 

High-frequency coils are widely used in medical applications, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems. A typical medical MRI includes a local radio frequency transmit/receive coil. This coil is designed for maximum energy transfer or wave transfer through magnetic resonance. Mutual inductance is a dynamic parameter that determines the energy quantity to be transferred wirelessly by electromagnetic coupling. Thus, it is essential to analyze the self and mutual inductances of this coil. Other parameters, including electromagnetic shielding, frequency, and distance, which influence voltage and power transfer are investigated here. Theoretical formulas and simulation models proposed in the present paper are implemented by using MATLAB and ANSYS MAXWELL and ANSYS SIMPLORER Finite Element (FE) packages for determining the performance and properties of the coil. So, the main goal is evaluating of software steps that simplify the design of RF resonance circuits. Also, experimental results are given for the validation of the proposed method. Consequently, Safety and efficiency are automatically maximized by following the best design considerations.

زمینه و اهداف: بازماندن مجرای شریانی پس از هفته اول در یک نوزاد ترم غیرطبیعی میباشد، که باید با استفاده از روشهای جراحی یا غیر جراحی بسته شود. هدف اصلی این مطالعه بررسی نتایج بستن مجرای شریانی باز یا (Patent Ductus Arteriosus, PDA) به روش غیر جراحی و با استفاده از Coil بود، در ضمن عوارض ناشی از این اقدام نیز مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت.روش بررسی: پرونده 21 بیمار که در طی سال 1384 به مرکز آموزشی درمانی شهید مدنی تبریز مراجعه و در آنها اقدام به بستن PDA به روش غیر جراحی و با استفاده از Coil بشده بود بررسی و اطلاعات بدست آمده با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS مورد بررسی آماری قرار گرفت.یافته ها: در 13 مورد (%61.9) بسته شدن کامل در اتاق آنژیوگرافی انجام گردید. در 16 مورد (%76) بسته شدن کامل در 24 ساعت بعد روی داده و در 2 مورد (%9.6) اقدام ناموفق بود. پس از گذشت 6 ماه در 18 بیمار (%85.7) مجرای شریانی بطور کامل بسته شده بود و فقط یک بیمار دارای شانت باقیمانده بود که کاندید استفاده از Coil دوم میباشد. در دو مورد که آمبولیزاسیون Coil روی داده بود، Coil با استفاده از کاتتر و Snare در اتاق آنژیوگرافی خارج گردیده و هیچگونه عارضه ای در بیماران مشاهده نگردید.نتیجه گیری: میزان موفقیت بستن PDA با Coil در این مرکز قابل مقایسه با مراکز دیگر بوده و با توجه به اینکه این اقدام بدون عارضه بوده و اکثر بیماران روز بعد از بیمارستان مرخص شده اند، لذا این روش یک روش بی خطر و مناسب بخصوص در بیمارانی که دارای فشار شریانی ریوی طبیعی هستند میباشد.

چکیده: 

ناودان متمرکزکننده خورشیدی سهموی (PTC) به دلیل نسبت غلظت آن از همه جمع کننده های خورشیدی برتر است. روش های مختلفی برای افزایش کارایی سیستم PTC استفاده می شود که متداول ترین آنها عبارتند از افزایش بازتاب سطح جمع کننده، افزایش ظرفیت جذب لوله جاذب، استفاده از مایع با ظرفیت حرارتی بالا در لوله جاذب، و استفاده از جاسازهایی در جریان سیال در لوله جاذب. در مطالعه حاضر، ناودان سهموی از یک ورق فولاد نرم با یک گیرنده ساخته شده از مس در نقطه کانونی ساخته شده است، و آب به عنوان سیال کار استفاده شد. با استفاده از یک گیرنده لوله ای مارپیچی بدون روکش با یک گام ]گام سیم پیچی[ 2 سانتی متری و یک گیرنده مارپیچی با روکش سیاه، تغییرات دما را اندازه گیری کردیم. نتایج نشان داد که حداکثر دمای جاذب در 21 ژوئن در ساعت 13.17 بعد از ظهر می باشد که بعد از حداکثر تابش خورشید که 148 درجه سانتیگراد بود. درجه حرارت بالاتر در این زمان به دلیل تابش لحظه ای بیشتر خورشید است. همچنین، حداقل دمای گیرنده جمع کننده ثبت شده در 21 دسامبر در 13.12 بعد از ظهر می باشد که پس از حداکثر تابش خورشید که 91 درجه سانتیگراد بود.

Background: It is common for osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLT) to be associated with ankle injury, residual ankle stiff ness and pain after osteochondral injuries, and OLTs are most common in the dome of the talus. Before choosing the appropriate therapy based on diagnosis, it is necessary to determine if the OLT is a stabile lesion or not. More accurate diagnosis and classifi cations could be conducted to guide the clinical treatment. Objectives: To compare the accuracy rate and diagnostic indices of proton-density fat-saturation BLADE (proprietary name for periodically rotated overlapping parallel lines with enhanced reconstruction in magnetic resonance systems from Siemens Healthcare) sequences from a small fi eld of view (FOV) surface coil and proton-density fat-saturation sequences without BLADE in a routine FOV using a boot-shaped coil on the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of OLT. Patients and Methods: One hundred and one patients with ankle pain for greater than 6 weeks and normal X-ray participated in this study. They were ready for diagnosis by arthroscopy and treatment following MR examination. All patients were scanned by two diff erent methods: (a) a coronal proton-density fat-saturated sequence with BLADE using a small FOV surface coil and (b) a coronal proton-density fat-saturated sequence without BLADE using a routine FOV boot coil. In this study, the arthroscopic results were regarded as the gold standard for assessing OLTs and were used to directly compare the ability of the two diff erent scanning methods to produce accurate fi ndings with regard to MR imaging of OLTs. Results: Of the 101 patients, 57 patients with cartilaginous injury were confi rmed by the results of arthroscopy, and 44 patients were without cartilaginous injury. Forty-eight lesions had the same grade with the small FOV BLADE sequence MRI and arthroscopy, while 37 lesions had the same grade on routine FOV MRI and arthroscopy among 57 patients with cartilaginous injury. Among MR fi ndings of 101 patients, the results of weighted Kappa, accuracy, sensitivity and specifi city were 0. 803, 90. 10%, 84. 21%, and 97. 73%, respectively between small FOV and arthroscopy; 0. 515, 75. 25%, 64. 91%, and 88. 64%, respectively between routine FOV and arthroscopy. The accuracy rate, sensitivity and specifi city of small FOV with BLADE were higher than routine FOV. Mc Nemar’ s test confi rmed that the accuracy, sensitivity and specifi city of small FOV BLADE were signifi cantly better than routine FOV (P < 0. 001). Greater values of small FOV compared to routine FOV appeared in sensitivity of 0. 94 vs. 0. 81 (MR normal and grade I), 0. 89 vs. 0. 77 (MR normal and grade I-IIA), 0. 90 vs. 0. 74 (MR normal and grade I-IIB), 0. 91 vs. 0. 75 (MR normal and grade I-III) and specifi city of 0. 98 vs. 0. 92 (MR normal and grade I), the same in specifi city of 0. 91 vs. 0. 91 (MR normal and grade I-IIA), 0. 80 vs. 0. 80 (MR normal and grade I-III), only smaller in specifi city of 0. 60 vs. 0. 80 (MR normal and grade I-IIB). Conclusion: Small FOV surface coil with BLADE sequence grading of OLT demonstrated a promising accuracy rate compared with arthroscopic diagnosis.

A 46-year-old man was admitted with chief complaint of chest pain and fatigue on exertion for the last 2 years. Physical examination was normal. Thransthoracic echocardiography showed mild right ventricular dilatation and ejection fraction of 50%. Coronary angiogram (CAG) was done that revealed significant lesion at mid part of left anterior descending artery (LAD) and a fistula arising from the mid part of LAD artery communicating with main pulmonary artery. Transcatheter coil embolism was successfully performed. The patient was free of symptoms during 12 months follow up.

One of the main challenges in developing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems is to create a static coil that needs to generate magnetic field density along with the characteristics of optimal homogeneity and magnitude size. To do this, two N42 Block PMs are used and the iron core is designed and optimized in accordance with the dimensions of PM pieces using ANSYS Maxwell software. Then, all iron parts are lathed, the yoke pieces and pole spacers are welded. In addit ion, PM and pole pieces are installed. Finally, measurement is done by Lut ron to evaluate the stat ic coil performance.

CHROME PLATING CAN BE DONE AS CHEMICAL AND ELECTROCHEMICAL METHODS ON THE METALS SURFACE AND METALIC COATED MATERIALS IN A SOLUTION MEDIA OF CHROMIC ACID, CHROMATE, AND DICHROMATE.THIS OPERATION CAN CAUSE A PASSIVE COATING ON THE METALS BY THE CHROMIUM (III) AND CHROMIUM (VI) COMPOUNDS. ALTHOUGH THE CHROMIUM (VI) -BASED COMPOUNDS REPRESENT HARMFUL EFFECTS ON THE EMPLOYEE AND USER HEALTH, GALVANIZING PLANT AT STEEL COMPANY OF MOBARAKEH HAD BEEN USED THESE MATERIALS. THIS PROBLEM CAN BE INCREASED WHEN PEOPLE EMPLOY THE PRODUCT WITHOUT ANY SAFETY TOOLS. RECENTLY, USING OF THESE MATERIALS IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS ARE LIMITED OR FORBIDDEN DUE TO THESE HEALTH PROBLEMS. THUS, AT THE GALVANIZING PLANT THE LESS HARMFUL MATERIALS SUCH AS THE CHROMIUM (III) -BASED MATERIALS ARE USED INSTEAD OF CHROMIUM (VI) -BASED ONES. TO GET THIS OBJECTIVE PRETREATMENT OF THE COILS IS NECESSARY AS FOLLOWS: FIRST, THE COILS WAS CLEANED USING ALKALINE SOLUTIONS. THEN, THE COILS WAS WASHED USING DEMINERALIZED WATER AND DRIED. AFTER PRETREATMENT OF THE COILS, TWO APPROACHES CAN BE DONE TO PROTECT THE COILS: 1- SPRAYING AND DEWATERING, IN THIS METHOD THE SOLUTION IS SPRAYED ON THE BOTH SIDES OF MOVING SHEETS AND DEWATERING IS DONE BY THE APPROPRIATE ROLLS. THE REMAINING WET CAN BE DRIED BY BLOWING THE WARM AIR (THIS METHOD IS USED AT GALVANIZING PLANT OF STEEL COMPANY OF MOBARAKEH).2- FLOATING AND DEWATERING, IN THIS METHOD THE COILS ARE MOVING AT THE BATHS FILLED OF CHROMIUM SOLUTION AND DEWATERING IS DONE THE SAME AS ITEM 1.THE APPROPRIATE MATERIALS FOR THIS OBJECTIVE HAVE SEVERAL CHARACTERISTICS INCLUDING: A) THE MATER SHOULD BE SPRAYABLE (WITHOUT ANY EXCESS WASHING), AND COLORLESS. B) IT SHOULD BE USABLE AT OPERATION TEMPERATURE. C) IT SHOULD BE PASSIVE RATHER THAN THE SALT SPRAY TO 48 HOURS. D) THE COATING SHOULD BE STABILE FOR A LONG TIME STORING.
