Family is one of the most important social entities. The foundation of family formation, its stability and growth depends on the couples’ attitude, interaction and communication styles. Based on this line, the current study was carried out to determine effectiveness of acceptance and commitment training on marital conflicts in married women. The Method of this research was a semi trial study (‘ pre-test’ , ‘ post – test’ with a control group) and study population consisted of married women who attended to Dabestan & Majidieh community center located at district 7 of Tehran city from April to May of 2017. after completing the questionnaires 30 married women with marital conflict problem were recruited, using convenience sampling method and then they were randomly allocated into two equal groups of 15 people in each. The research instrument was revised marital conflict questionnaire (MCQ-R). Both descriptive and inferential statics were used to analyze the data. The finding indicates that group based acceptance and commitment focused training had statistically significant impact on reducing marital conflict (P<0/01 & F=71/6) and its sub-scale scores. it is suggested that this approach to be used in couple therapy and family therapy.
