THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WATER EVAPORATION FROM EVAPORATION PAN WITH RELATIVE WATER CONTENT OF TWO RAPESEED CULTIVARS (BRASSIA NAPUS L .)

Abstract

 To determine the relationship between EVAPORATION of water from EVAPORATION PAN/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank"> EVAPORATION PAN with RELATIVE WATER CONTENT and the best time of irrigation, an experiment was conducted in factorial split plot design on the basis of randomized complete block design with three replications in Pakdasht and Karaj, regions. Irrigation intervals based on 45, 65 and 85 mm EVAPORATION from the pvaporation pan considered and irrigation water amount consumption (45, 65 and 100 precent of EVAPORATION) was considered into factorial as main factor and cultivars in two levels Talayieh and PF 7045.91 considered as sub factors .In all irrigation intervals, the RELATIVE WATER CONTENT measured before irrigation of each plots. The results indicated that, decrease of intervals to 45 mm and increase of irrigation water amount to 80% (the amount of RELATIVE WATER CONTENT was %74.22) lead to maximum amount of seed yield (2538 kg/ha) Minimum amount of seed yield (1046 kg/ha) was obtained with irrigation interval of 85 mm of evaporated pan water or irrigation water amount %60 and %61.67 of RELATIVE WATER CONTENT. There for it conducts that in irrigation in the basis of 45 and 65 mm evaporated water or low water stress, irrgation in higher amount of R WC didn’t have signiscant effect on seed yield. Average amount of RWC for PF 7045.91 and Talaye were %70.15 and %68.75 .This indicated that the water stress tolerance in PF 7045.91 was more than talaye and RELATIVE WATER CONTENT can be used as a selective index for selection of drought tolerant cultivars.
