Abstract

The present research try to show reasons of appearance and use of SEALs and also similarity and differences of SEALs and SEAL impressions from viewpoint of style and figure in ACHAEMENIAN and SASANIAN periods. The aim of this research is to show the importance of SEALs and SEAL impressions in point of official's responsibilities and social status of SEALs' owners especially in ACHAEMENIAN and SASANIAN periods. Various designs of SEALs and SEAL impressions indifferent historical periods are the expressive sign of verbal art, culture and civilization of the people on that time. In the pre-historical periods SEALs used not only as an amulet but also as a signature of merchants. With urbanizing and forming of governments, SEALs had commercial and administrative usage. We find some administrative systems in ancient time by SEALs and SEAL impressions.
