Abstract

In this study the effects of salinity stress on germination of three species of Halocnemum strobilaceum, FRANKENIA HIRSUTE and Halostachys caspica was investigated. Five salinity treatments included distilled water, 100, 200, 300 and 400Mm NACL. This laboratory experiment was conducted as factorial based on completely randomized design with 4 replication (temperature 20 oC. Results showed that GERMINATION PERCENT of Halocnemum strobilaceumM.B was more than two species FRANKENIA HIRSUTE L. and Halostachys caspica Pall. Over all in three species with increasing salinity, GERMINATION PERCENT decreased and there was significant difference between GERMINATION PERCENTs in different levels of salinity.
