Effect of application time of dual purpose herbicides and mixing herbicides on weeds control and wheat yield

Abstract

 An experiment was conducted to evaluate efficiency of application time of dual purpose herbicides and mixing herbicides on weeds control and growth, physiological, yield and components yield of wheat based on randomized complete block design with three replications in research farm of Gonbad Kavous University in 2014-2015 growing season. Treatments included total (sulfosulfuron+metsulfuron-methyl), atlantis (idosulfuron+ mesosulfuron+ Mefenpyer-diethyl), Othello (mesosulfuron+ iodosulfuron+ diflufenican+ mefenpyr-diethy), Apirous (sulfosulfuron), granstar (tribeneron methyl)+Topic (clodinafoppropargyl) in two application times such as primary tillage and primary booting. Treatment of without application of herbicides and hand weeding in two studied times also were used as control. Results showed that aplication of dual purpose herbicides and granstar +Topic along hand weeding in different consuming times had significant difference on traits such as leaf area, spikes number per m2, number of seeds per spike, seed yield, biological yield, harvest index, chlorophyll a, b and prolin content (p<0. 01). On the basis of results, in the most cases herbicides applications and hand weeding in primary tillage time increased effeiciency of them as compared to primary booting. The highest grain yield was obtained in the treatment of atlantis about 7535 Kg/h, While did not showed significant difference with application of Othello and Apirous in primary tillage as well as atlantis in primary booting. In return, the lowest grain yield was found under application of Apirous (3991 Kg/h) in primary booting. According results, 8 species weeds were indentified in each plot separately. It was also observer that POlygonum aviculare had a hieghest density per m2. In case of weeds control, herbicide of Apirous in primary booting had a lower control (14. 83%) on weeds over other treatments. In return, the highest control of weeds was related to total and atlantis herbicides in primary tillage about 50 and 49. 44 % respectively. Overall, due to the more effieciency of dual purpose herbicides in weeds control in primary tillage over mixing granstar+ Topic, it is suggested to employment of dual purpose herbicides specially atlantis in primary tillage to reduce resistance of weeds than old herbicides of granstar and Topic.
