Abstract

Achillea millefolium L. Subsp. millefolium is one of the most important medicinal plants which are growing wild in north-west of Iran. In this study sample collected from Herby village which are near Tabriz in Azarbaijan state in beginning July 1998 at an altitute of 2025 m. The essentail oil obtained by hydrodistillation method. The percentage of oil were 0.47%, calculated on the dry weight, analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The majore constituents were LIMONENE (14.94%), borneol (7.88%), a - cadinol (7.57%), caryophyllene oxide (4.34%) & terpinen -4-01 (3.89%).
