Title

THE STUDY OF GROWTH ANALYSIS IN IRRIGATED WHEAT CULTIVARS UNDER DIFFERENT TILLAGE SYSTEMS

Abstract

 The aim of this study was to determine the effect of GROWTH ANALYSIS of irrigated wheat genotypes. This experiment was carried out using RCBD in split-plot arrangement including 9 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments consisted of tillage systems in three levels, conventional, reduced and no-till methods, as main plots and three wheat cultivars of Pishtaz, Pishgam and Bahar as sub-plots. The results of this study showed that the relative growth rate (RGR) between cultivars decreased and reached its minimum at the end of the growing season. Accumulation of dry matter (ADM) in Pishgam cultivar shortly before the finish line stage to the end of the growing season was higher than the other two varieties and Bahar cultivar had the lowest rate of dry matter accumulation. Leaf area index (LAI) in Pishgam cultivar in the early stages of growth, tillering stage and start-linear growth was the average but at the end of the linear growth stage, coincided with the greatest exposure to solar radiation in the field, reached highest value and were over the other cultivars, and this trend continued until the end of growth stage. Comparing the ratio of leaf area rate (LAR) in three cultivars of wheat during the growing season showed that the LAR in three cultivars decreased whereas in Pishgam cultivar, with the constant decrease rate, was higher than other cultivars at the end of the growing season, showing Pishgam to be a leafy cultivars.
