Abstract

During investigation on the reason of mortalities in a COLD-WATER FISH rarm in Makoo, West Azerbaijan province, POMPHORHYNCHUS LAEVIS was isolated. The morbidity and mortality rate standed for 70 and 5% (4000) of 20-30 g fish respectively. This is considered as the first official report of mortality due to acantocephalosis in IRANian COLD-WATER FISH farms.
