Abstract

In order to determine relationship of physiological and PHENOLOGICAL TRAITS of WHEAT YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS, 10 bread and durum WHEAT (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars were evaluated during 2001-2002 growing season. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with three replications. Investigation of correlation coefficients showed that seed yield had a positive correlation with biological yield, harvest index, 1000 seed weight and grain filling rate.1000 seed weight had a positive correlation with grain filling rate, but grain filling duration were not significantly related to 1000 seed weight. Days to physiological maturity and days to heading exhibited a negative correlation with grain filling duration.
