Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the role of INSURANCE in producing herbivorous animals. Accordingly, 120 animal husbandries, INSUREd and uninsured were casually selected in 2003 in Kerman. The comparison of mean variant related to these two mentioned groups (insured and uninsured) shows that there is no meaningful difference between two groups of view point of the age and education, and also it shows that the number of animals and the mortality number means in INSUREd animal husbandry is more than the uninsured one while in INSUREd animal husbandry less labor force is needed. The significance of estimated production coefficient by using t statistics without INSURANCE variable in a significance level of 1 percent without determining coefficient of %84 shows that 1% variant in labor causes 0.022% variant in production, and 1 % variant in investment causes 0.987% variant in production. Also 1% variant in animals' food causes 0.241% variant in production. Finally, it were concluded that the INSURANCE variant had no positive effect on herbivorous animals production in Kerman Province.
