ANALYSIS ON FARM WATER PRODUCTIVITY IN THE SHADERVAN COUNTY AT SHOUSHTAR TOWNSHIP OF IRAN

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to analysis water productivity in SHADERVAN county at Shoushtar township of Iran. Total population in the study included all WHEAT FARMERS in SHADERVAN (N=1950). A random sample of farmers was selected based on Krejcie and Morgan table (n=321). The sampling method of this research was stratified random sampling. To test the validity of questionnaire, panel of experts was used. Reliability of evidence was examined by 30 copies of questionnaires that were distributed among other farmers. The level of Cronbach Alpha of in each item was determined higher than 0.70.The type of research was applied research. Also the research method was correlateddescriptive and causal relational. The results indicated that there was correlation between farm water productivity with level of attitude and knowledge about ON-FARM WATER PRODUCTIVITY, level of mechanization and social welfare were significantly positive in 0.01 level. Also, the results indicated the ON-FARM WATER PRODUCTIVITY in different groups based on method of farming, method of wheat plant and water ownership system was significantly different. The regression analysis show that the social participation, ownership system and level of mechanization may well explain for 59.8 percent changes in ON-FARM WATER PRODUCTIVITY.
