Abstract

In order to evaluate the effect of TILLAGE on growth and yield of SOYBEAN and WEED MANAGEMENT, this study was carried out in university of Mazandaran, faculty of Agriculture, during 2000-2001 the experiment was a split plot design based on Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications in two years. Results showed that, TILLAGE had significant effect on height, dry weight, seeds number, 1000-grain weight, yield of SOYBEAN and weeds dry weight but had no significant effect on nodes per plant. Height of SOYBEAN in weedy check was 14.4% less than weed- free check, in two years of experiment. Maximum and minimum dry weight and yield of SOYBEAN obtained in weed-free check in TILLAGE and weedy check in no- TILLAGE, respectively. Maximum weeds dry weight was in no-TILLAGE.
