Abstract: 

Aims The innovation ecosystem states that innovation through interactive networks occurs at different levels. The network has a wide range of stakeholders that are complex in the innovation process as part of the innovation ecosystem. Considering the importance of the issue of prevention in the health sector and the importance of the role of biotechnology in this field, the aim of this study was to examine the innovation ecosystem of human vaccines in Iran. Participants & Methods In this qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive research, while investigating the dimensions of the ecosystem of innovation in literature and its main characteristics, the status of the innovation ecosystem of human vaccines was investigated in Iran. This study was carried out through content analysis of the current documents and deep and semi-structured interviews with experts in this field. Subsequently, a description of the current state of the vaccine innovation ecosystem was presented. Findings Most of the graduates did not have enough familiarity with the techniques needed to attend the industry. The existence of two major vaccine manufacturers, the Pasteur and Razi Institutes, were of important properties of ecosystems. The small number of service providers and existing service companies with knowledge-based organizations were of shortcomings. Shortcomings in the characteristics of stable and dynamic interaction in the innovation ecosystem of human vaccines in Iran were evident and the making policies to create or strengthen these characteristics was one of the important issues of Iran in this area. Conclusion Despite the abundance of elements and actors in this field, the innovation ecosystem of vaccines in Iran has not yet been formulated in a structured way, and its creation and development requires the characteristics of the innovation ecosystem and the resolution of its challenges.

Abstract: 

Background & Purpose Innovation ecosystem is a network of communications and interactions among actors who, in collaboration with and sharing knowledge, technology, skills and resources, enhance their ability around an innovation. Considering the importance of understanding this issue, this research seeks to interpretive structural modeling of innovation ecosystem in insurance industry. Methodology This research is exploratory in terms of purpose and In terms of type of use, it is an applied research and qualitative method based on interpretive paradigm has been used. Theoretical foundations were used to identify the factors affecting the innovation ecosystem, in the next step after the formation of structural self-interaction matrix, the research data were collected by referring to 30 experts and analyzed using Mick Mac software. Findings Based on the dimensions of "guiding power" and "dependency", "creating good governance" as a governance umbrella and macro leadership, "university-industry-insurance link" as trans-organizational interactions, "strengthening marketing and competition in the market with a focus on insurance services" and "developing the platforms and substructures of the insurance industry" are at the eighth level as key independent variables such as the foundation stone of the model. Conclusion In order to create and develop the innovation ecosystem, policy makers and managers of the insurance industry should prioritize the dimensions of the eighth level (good governance, university-industry-insurance link, strengthening marketing and competition in the market and developing the substructures of the insurance industry).

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to The Role of University and Industry in the Ecosystem of Innovation in the line with realization of Sustainable Innovation. The Mixed method was conducted. In the qualitative study, the population was consisted all of the experts in two field of university and industry. A purposive sampling of 20 experts were selected. The In the quantitative section, the statistical population consisted of middle managers and executives of the university and industry field in Tehran. In this section, stratified random sampling method was used, so 205 people were selected by this method. To collect data, semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were used. To analysis of qualitative data, thematic analysis, and for quantitative data partial least square method were used. The results showed that the roles of the university and industry include six roles of teaching, research, social service, help to technology development, help to innovation development, help to entrepreneurship development. Based on the findings of this research, the roles of university, industry, based on the goodness of fit index were highly fitted. In this model, both institutions of the university and industry had a significant impact on the ecosystem. The industry with a higher factor loading was in the first place of the importance of role in creating the ecosystem, and the institution of the university with a lower factor loading was on the next order. The model's power of prediction criterion, indicated that exogenous variables, i. e., university and industry roles, have the potential to predict the formation of the ecosystem (relationship) of the university and the industry.

Abstract: 

The innovation ecosystem plays a valuable role in the development of innovation and entrepreneurship. And the first step to its formation is theoretical and experimental knowledge of this field. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the dimensions and components of the innovation ecosystem in order to design a framework in this field using the Meta-synthesis of Sandlowski and Barroso models. 438 related articles were purposefully reviewed based on inclusion criteria and finally 42 articles were selected for final analysis. Findings show that Innovation ecosystem framework consists of five dimensions consisting of actors (at the macro level: government, universities, policy makers, geographical and regional environment. At the micro level: micro research institutions, entrepreneurs, customers and investors). Structure (at two levels: 1-Process: life cycle, feedback systems, collaborative competition, dynamic capabilities, environmental and regional factors. 2-Operational: networking, market-oriented, open innovation, multiple innovation models) Relationships and Interactions (relationships: formal and informal networks. Interactions: attracting specialized and complementary capabilities, entrepreneurial orientation to create value) Mode of operation and consequences (strategic: environmental and infrastructure preparation, formulation of policies and strategies based on knowledge Operations: feedback and strengthening of the regulatory system, active leadership, organization of all key elements by a central platform, knowledge flow management, flexibility, transfer of marketing and sales technology) and results (at the macro level: economic growth and development, comprehensive value Proposed, sustainable development. at the micro level: creating a competitive advantage, increasing efficiency, commercialization and increasing profits). . The proposed framework can provide valuable insights for the development of research in this area

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to design an innovative university model in the context of the innovation ecosystem in Iran and to identify the components of the innovation ecosystem and innovative universities. The methodology of the research was grounded theory. The statistical population of this study was all faculty members of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Institute of Research and Planning of Higher Education, managers and experts of the Organization of Scientific and Industrial Researches of Iran, managers and experts of small industries and industrial towns of Iran, Members of the Association of Industrial and University Professors, experts, directors and faculty members were members of the offices related to university and industry, innovation and technology at the State Technical Schools, Azad University and Farhangian universities, and the Center for Scientific Research and Policy. The purpose of the sampling was to reach the theoretical saturation limit. The interviewees were selected through a snowball method using semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the results was done by the qualitative researcher and the content analysis of the interviews and three-step coding based on the Grounded Theory (GT) using the software MAXQDA in order to designed and analyze the model.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this paper is to provide a model for analyzing the structural relationship between the components of the national innovation ecosystem. For this purpose, cross-sectional data from 137 countries, structural equation modeling technique with partial least squares method and PLS software have been used. Hence, it is a quantitative applied research conducted with a descriptive (correlation) approach. Experimental analysis shows that the diverse components of the innovation ecosystem play an essential role in fostering innovation. Information technology, university education, academic research, and innovative interactions are key components of the national innovation ecosystem. The quantity, quality and capacity of these components determine the degree of creativity, productivity, dynamics and agility level of the innovation ecosystem. The quantity and quality of entrepreneurship, the amount of access to finance, the quantity and quality of physical infrastructure, and the amount of financial and physical investment provided by entrepreneurs, government and firms help foster, grow and expand innovation. This component, in addition to generating knowledge within the ecosystem and absorbing knowledge from the outside, helps to commercialize new knowledge. The diffusion and dissemination of knowledge in ecosystems and ecological sustainability are key outputs of the national innovation ecosystem. Based on these results, the paper proposes six strategies for building a national innovation ecosystem in Iran.

Abstract: 

زمینه: تاکنون عوامل اثرگذار بر اکوسیستم نوآوری صنعت فناوری ارتباطات به شکلی نظام یافته و مستقل از اکوسیستم نوآوری صنعت فناوری اطلاعات، در قالب یک مدل کمی مورد تحلیل قرار نگرفته است. هدف: شناسایی و اولویت بندی عوامل موثر بر اکوسیستم نوآوری صنعت فناوری ارتباطات ایران و بررسی میزان تاثیر هر یک بر مدل نهایی اکوسیستم جهت استفاده نهادهای حاکمیتی وفعالان صنفی این صنعت است. روش: پژوهش از حیث هدف کاربردی و از حیث روش توصیفی پیمایشی است. گروه خبرگان این پژوهش به صورت هدفمند از میان مدیران اصلی و مدیران کلیدی شرکتهای خصوصی و نهادهای حاکمیتی صنعت فناوری ارتباطات ایران انتخاب شده اند. به منظور شناسایی عوامل موثر بر اکوسیستم نوآوری، از روش دلفی فازی (FDM) در سه مرحله بهره گرفته شده است. همچنین تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها و بررسی اعتبار و برازش مدل پژوهش و تحلیل سوالات، به ترتیب از طریق تحلیل عاملی تاییدی و معادلات ساختاری با استفاده از نرم افزار AMOS انجام شده است. یافته ها: یافته های این پژوهش نشان می دهد عوامل نهادی، مدیریت نوآوری، کسب و کار، ملی و منطقه ای، علم و فناوری، و مالی و اقتصادی تاثیر معناداری بر مدل اکوسیستم نوآوری صنعت فناوری ارتباطات دارند. مدل نهایی ارایه شده نیز دارای برازشی مناسب است. نتیجه گیری: تحلیل ضرایب تعیین نشان می دهد عامل مدیریت نوآوری بیشترین تاثیر وعامل ملی و منطقه ای کمترین تاثیر را بر مدل اکوسیستم نوآوری صنعت فناوری ارتباطات دارا هستند. پیشنهاد می شود ضمن مد نظر قرار دادن اولویت بندی عوامل تاثیرگذار بر مدل اکوسیستم، به دلیل پویایی صنعت و فناوری، تاسیس رصدخانه علم و فناوری ICT با هدف کمک به اکوسیستم نوآوری دانش بنیان و پیش بینی روندهای علم و فناوری این صنعت در دستور کار نهادهای ذیربط قرار گیرد.

Abstract: 

nowadays, considering the speed of technological progress and increasing attention to innovation as drivers of economic development, Attention to the design and development of innovation ecosystems more than ever is growing. Innovation ecosystems develop and evolve on the subject of technology, sector or industry as a network and strategically in order to create entrepreneurial activities. One of the most important steps on the path of design of innovation ecosystems is search, identify, select and deployment of key actors in the innovation ecosystems. This study is an applied research with qualitative approach using multiple case study that was carried out to identify the key actors in the design of petrochemical downstream industry innovation ecosystem. The findings show that six actors will play key role in the development of petrochemical downstream industry innovation ecosystem that include orchestrator, Accelerators, Human and physical infrastructure suppliers, venture capital, lead users and lead experts, Which respectively are business development holding as a orchestrator, NECO industry management as an accelerator, Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute, Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (NPC-RT), research institute of petroleum industry, Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Research Center of Iran, and Department of Chemical Engineering in Sharif, Amir Kabir and Tehran universities as suppliers of Human and physical infrastructures, Innovation and Development Fund as a venture capital, public relations unit of National Petrochemical Company and Companies with demo plant as lead users, knowledge based companies as lead experts in Iranian petrochemical downstream industry innovation ecosystem.

Abstract: 

Science and technology parks play a key role in Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization, policy tool for technology diffusion through entrepreneurship and for knowledge economy. Purpose of this study was to identify the role of science and technology parks in order to creating innovation ecosystem. The research method was mixed. In qualitative section, the statistical population consisted of experts in the fields of academia, industry and government. Participants were selected by purposive sampling from 20 participants. In quantitative section, population consisted of 440 individuals who were among the middle and executive managers of four domains of university, industry, government and intermediary institutions that were selected by stratified random sampling method. The sample size was 205 using Cochran formula. Data were collected in the qualitative section by semi-structured interview method and in the quantitative section by a researcher-made questionnaire. The thematic analysis method was used for qualitative data analysis and partial least squares method was used for quantitative data analysis. These factors explained about 90 percent of the changes in the innovation ecosystem. The results showed that the roles of science and technology parks in the ecosystem of university, industry, and government are three supportive, mediator and capacity building roles.
