Abstract: 

Background: Mindfulness is a mind-body medicine technique which is used in stress reduction and promotion in many patients quality of life, with chronic diabetes. The purpose of this study was evaluating the effectiveness of mindfulness based on stress reduction on glycemic control of patients with diabetes.Methods: in the case-control experimental research 60 diabetic patients (30 control group, 30 experimental groups) in Shahriyar city were invited to participate in this study. Mindfulness presents in 8 weekly sessions. Glycolysis hemoglobin as indicator of glycemic control was assessed, before and after this intervention. T-test for dependant groups and independent groups and one-way ANOVA was used for data analysis.Results: Results indicate a significant difference between pre test and post test of experimental group.Conclusions: So it is concluded that mindfulness has significant effects on glycemic control.

Abstract: 

این پژوهش با هدف تعیین اثربخشی برنامه کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی بر کاهش اضطراب دانش آموزان دختر مدارس شبانه روزی اجرا شد. روش این پژوهش نیمه آزمایشی از نوع پیش آزمون- پس آزمون با گروه کنترل بود. برای انتخاب نمونه، از روش نمونه گیری غیر تصادفی هدفمند استفاده گردید. بدین صورت در مرحله غربالگری، 30 نفر انتخاب شدند و در دو گروه 15 نفری (آزمایش و کنترل) جایگزین گردیدند. گروه آزمایش طی 8 جلسه تحت آموزش برنامه کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی قرار گرفتند، اما در این مدت گروه کنترل مداخله ای را دریافت نکردند. برای جمع آوری اطلاعات موردنیاز از پرسشنامه های اضطراب بک استفاده شد. نتایج با استفاده از آزمون تحلیل کوواریانس تحلیل شد. نتایج نشان داد که بین دو گروه (آزمایش و کنترل) در متغیر اضطراب تفاوت معنی دار وجود دارد. برنامه کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی موجب کاهش معنادار اضطراب در دانش آموزان گردیده است. مبتنی بر یافته ها، می توان نتیجه گرفت که برنامه های کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی می تواند اضطراب نوجوانان را کاهش دهد.

Abstract: 

زمینه و هدف: اضطراب اجتماعی با متغیرهای مختلفی مانند ذهن آگاهی ارتباط دارد. با توجه به اثر بخشی کاهش استرس مبتنی بر برنامه ذهن آگاهی در گستره مشکلات بالینی و بهبود علائم روانشناختی و کیفیت زندگی افراد مبتلا به اضطراب اجتماعی، و اهمیت پرداختن به متغیر یاد شده در زندگی این افراد، پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین اثربخشی برنامه کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی بر بهبود ذهن آگاهی و ابراز وجود در دانشجویان مبتلا به اضطراب اجتماعی انجام گردید. روش پژوهش: این پژوهش یک طرح نیمه آزمایشی از نوع پیش آزمون-پس آزمون با گروه کنترل می باشد. جامعه آماری این تحقیق شامل کلیه دانشجویان دختر دانشگاه آزاد کاشان بودند و تعداد 30 نفر از آن هایی که با توجه به اجرای پرسشنامه هراس اجتماعی کانور (2000) مبتلا به اضطراب اجتماعی بودند به روش نمونه گیری دردسترس هدفمند انتخاب و با گزینش تصادفی 15 نفر به عنوان گروه آزمایش و 15 نفر به عنوان گروه کنترل گمارده شدند. گروه آزمایش تحت اجرای 8 جلسه آموزش برنامه کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی قرار گرفتند. ابزار مورد استفاده در این پژوهش پرسشنامه ی ذهن آگاهی فرایبورگ (2006)، پرسشنامه ابراز وجود گمبریل و ریجی (1975) بود که در دو مرحله قبل از اجرای پژوهش و بعد از اتمام جلسات اجرا شد. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها از تحلیل کوواریانس و نرم افزار spss22 استفاده شد. یافته ها: نتایج تحلیل های آماری نشان داد که میزان ذهن آگاهی (0/05P<. و 7/40F=) و ابراز وجود (0/05P<. و 12/558F=) دانشجویان افزایش قابل قبولی از نظر آماری داشته است. نتیجه گیری: با توجه به نتایج می توان گفت آموزش کاهش استرس مبتنی بر ذهن آگاهی منجر به افزایش و بهبود ذهن آگاهی و ابراز وجود دانشجویان مبتلا به اضطراب اجتماعی می شود.

Abstract: 

Aim and Background: The main purpose of this study was to investigate effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on decreasing depression in patients with chronic low back pain.Methods and Materials: The statistical population included patients with chronic low back pain who appointed the pain clinics in Tehran. Among whom 23 participants were enrolled with convenience sampling and randomly assigned into two equal experimental and control groups. The questionnaire was consisted of the depression subscale of short form known as the depression anxiety stress scale (DASS-21) which was completed by the patients in pre-test and post-test formats.Findings: The results of this research, using Mann-Whitney test, showed that the mean depression score in the experimental group has reduced significantly in comparison with the control group.Conclusions: According to the findings of our study, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy is significantly effective in decreasing depression in patients with chronic low back pain.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Nurses face many stressors in their job and profession. In addition to threatening various aspects of health can also affect their ability and cause an analysis of the quality of their performance. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of mindfulness-based stress-relieving training in reducing nurses' job stress Methods: This quasi-experimental study is a pre-test-post-test with a control group that was performed in 2018 on 270 nurses from different wards of Panj Azar Medical Training Center in Gorgan. Of these, 40 of them regarding inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. Data collection tools were demographic information questionnaire and nurses' job stress questionnaire. The intervention was consisted of 8 sessions for mindfulness-based stress reduction holding once a week. Data was analyzed using SPSS software using both descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient, Covariance and multivariate regression) at a significant level of p <0. 05 Results: The results of this study showed that the mean scores of job stress before the intervention was not significantly different between the control and experimental groups (p <0. 05), but after the intervention the difference was significant (p <0. 05). Furthermore, about 55% of the changes in post-test scores of job stress was related to the effect of mindfulness-based stress relief. This finding indicates that the implementation of mindfulness-based stress training program has been effective in reducing nurses' job stress. Conclusions: Given that nurses are exposed to high stress, the use of low-cost and short term therapy is necessary. The findings of this study showed that mindfulness-based stress training can be useful to reduce nurses' job stress.

Abstract: 

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction on job stress and job burnout of teachers in Minoodasht. This research was applied in terms of purpose and in experimental implementation of pre-test-post-test with control group. The population of this study was male teachers in Minoodasht city, 200 of whom were selected by two-stages cluster. The questionnaire of the British Institute of Health and Safety (1990) was used to measure job stress and the questionnaire of Mazlach et al. (1996) was used to measure job burnout. The construct validity of the Persian versions of both questionnaires had previously been confirmed by confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis methods and their content validity and reliability in this study were calculated by Cronbach's alpha method of 0. 81 and 0. 84, respectively. Following their 60 scores one standard deviation above the mean were randomly assigned in two experimental and control groups. The experimental group was undergone by mindfulness-based stress-reduction, however, the control group received no intervention. After 8 sessions interventions, both with stress and burnout in the post-test questionnaires were evaluated. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed a significant difference between experimental and control groups after the intervention of occupational stress test variables and burnout(P<01/0). Comparison of means showed that the mean of two variables of emotional fatigue and depersonalization in the post-test in the experimental group changed lower than the control group, while the mean of individual performance in the experimental group in the post-test changed higher than the control group. Therefore, it is possible to take steps to reduce job stress and job burnout of teachers through in-service training based on mindfulness-based stress reduction methods.

Abstract: 

Introduction and purpose: Reduced quality of life is one of the daunting challenges posed to thalassemia patients. The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the mindfulness-based stress reduction program (MBSR) on quality of life and its components in thalassemia patients. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted based on a pretest-post-test control group design. The statistical population of the study consisted of patients with thalassemia in Behshahr who were members of the Thalassemia Association (approximately 90 people). A total of 40 thalassemia patients were selected by purposive sampling and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (n=20 in each group). Firstly, both groups answered Montazeri et al. 's Quality of Life Questionnaire (2006) (pre-test). Thereafter, the experimental group underwent the MBSR program by Kabat Zayn (2009) for eight sessions, while the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 22) using inferential statistics of multivariate analysis of covariance. Results: As a result of the MBSR program, in the post-test stage, the score of quality of life components showed a significant increase in the experimental group, as compared to that in the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion: As evidenced by the results of this study, the MBSR program was effective in the quality of life and its components in thalassemia patients. Therefore, this treatment can be used to increase the quality of life in thalassemia patients.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: The undesirable and destructive effects of stress on the lives of many couples are grounds for marital burnout and consequently, the quality of the couple’, s marital relationship is affected. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) training on reducing couple burnout among women. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was performed on 30 married women referred to the Counseling and Psychological Services Center during 2016 with a score of 75 on their marital burnout questionnaire. Subjects were selected using available sampling method and randomly assigned to intervention and control groups that each included 15 members and the pre-test-post-test-follow-up method was performed. The intervention group participated in an 8-session course of mindfulness-based stress reduction training. No intervention was provided for the subjects in the control group until the end of the follow-up stage. The data were collected using Pines Marital Burnout Scale (1996) which were completed in pre-test, post-test, and one-month follow-up stages by subjects in both groups. In the study groups, the components of marital burnout including physical fatigue, mental fatigue and emotional fatigue were compared and evaluated. Results: Mindfulness-based stress reduction intervention reduced marital burnout and its components (physical fatigue, mental fatigue, and affective fatigue) in the interventional group compared to the control group at the end of the intervention and after one month follow-up (P<0. 05). Conclusion: This study showed that mindfulness-based stress reduction training is an effectiveness intervention for reducing the level of marital burnout among women.

Abstract: 

Introdaction: Stress is a common issue in todays industrial life and many people have some forms of stress. Nurses in psychiatric hospitals experience a wider range of stress affecting their aspects of life as well as physical and mental health. The aim of this study was to compare mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction on the stress of nurses in psychiatric hospitals. Methods: The present study was a clinical trial with pertest-posttest with the control group, Placebo and a three months follow up. The statistical population included nurses working in psychiatric hospitals in 1398, who were among 73 people who had a high score of stress syndrome (according to inclusion and exclusion criteria), 60 people were selected by voluntery sampling and randomly assigned to four groups (two experimental groups, placebo group and control group) of each group of 15 people of which 8 people of which were omitted. The research tools were a demographic questionnaire and a stress sign questionnaire. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction package was held in 8 sessions of 1: 30 hours each procedure was performed for one experimental group. Data analysis was performed by mixed analysis of variance with repeated measures. Results: The results showed that the main stress score of both experimental groups mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction contented a significant increase in the posttest group than placebo and control group and mindfulness-based stress reduction has a greater effect on the psycho-emotional signs of stress than mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and this increase has remined relatively constant during the follow-up phase. Conclusions: The findings of the present study indicate that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction in the posttest and follow-uo phase, significantly reduced stress signs in psychiatric hospital nurses, and mindfulness-based stress reduction has a greater effect on the psychologicalemotional signs of stress than mind-based cognitive therapy.
