A sign of ignorance of any subject is paying too much attention to the form and paying no attention to the substance. This article deals with the form and content of academic articles, and tries to show that the majority of such articles getting published in our scholarly journals lack any substance. Admittedly, academic articles must follow certain rules and conventions, but there is more to an academic article than just observing the form. On the other hand, the referees find it easier to judge an article based on formal features. As a result, there are an increasing number of such articles which, though quite acceptable at face-value, lack little or any substance.

On one hand, drug therapy is one of the most powerful tools for the treatment of diseases, and on the other hand, one of the most common medical errors is related to hand written prescription. Patient safety is endangered due to illegible of hand written prescription by physicians and thereby the potential of medical errors would increase. Implementation of electronic prescribing and electronic health records can solve multiple problems of hand written prescription and decrease expenses of medical errors. The aim of this study was to introduce electronic prescription and its impact on medical errors. The study was a narrative review, which was performed by searching in Google search engine, PubMed, ISI web of science, Scoupus, and Embas, with keywords such as Electronic Prescription, E-prescription, Medication Errors, Patient safety’, in journals (text and abstracts), books, proceeding of conference articles, and scientific documents from 2000 to 2014. This study was done in 2014. About 58 articles, books, theses, and proceedings were obtained of which 35 cases were selected based on their relation to this issue. Eprescribing technology is a powerful tool to manage patients' medication that can lead to improve the quality of drug treatment. This technology associated with Electronic Health Records and using the support of decision support systems (DSS) can reduce the medication errors and increase patient safety is medication.

Introduction: The medication prescription is one of the vital and important processes in each healthcare system and no modern society could live without regulated medicine prescription. Electronic prescribing has emerged as a viable and definitive solution to counter shortcomings of the current paper-based prescribing processes. This study aimed to present an overview of electronic prescription and familiarizes the key real and potential stakeholders with practical concepts and global experiences in the field of eprescribing. In this review study, PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, EMBASE databases, Iranian National Library of Medicine (INLM) portal, and Google and Yahoo search engines were searched for relevant English publications concerning the problems of paper-based prescription, and concept, features, levels, benefits, stakeholders and standards of electronic prescription system. Electronic prescribing systems provide the potential to dramatically improve the outcome of prescribing processes, reduce adverse drug events, and save healthcare costs. Strengthening and supporting electronic prescription system requires the collaboration between all the system stakeholders and establishment of infrastructure for underlying healthcare information. Therefore, it is necessary to allocate a high priority to design and implement a national, unified and safe electronic prescription system by health care systems.

The systematic act of reviewing scientific periodicals indirectly examines rules of production, diffusion and usage of scientific literature. So, in essence it can demonstrate the process of scientific progression and regression in a specific field. Through the review analysis of published articles in the scientific journals, we can understand trends and procedures of production and diffusion of science and learn about the scientific network active in that specific field.This article illustrates the contributions made to the domain of social sciences and variety of methodologies used; co-authorship, organizational affiliation or dependency, geographical distribution, nationality, and the like. It also represents the nature of cooperation of author/authors who have published their articles in the Journal of Social Science (NAMEH-YE OLUME-E EJTEMAI). The study, in terms of its purposes, is exploratory, descriptive and analytical. Considering the process of research, it is a quantitative one. According to the findings, this study can be located within the applied field of the social research. The number of authors who have produced articles and submitted them to the Journal of Social Sciences amounts to 279. They have thus produced 415 articles in the period encompassing fall of 1968 to spring of 2008. The article frequency is 1 to 16 and 11/2 represents the average of articles per author. Results of this research show the Journal of Social Sciences is an interdisciplinary Journal. The journal is shown to have focused on the field of sociology, quantitative methods. The findings also indicate the organizational affiliation or dependency of authors to be on the faculty of social sciences of University of Tehran.

Despite the importance of the perception behind teachers' feedback, it is astonishing to note that there are not many studies regarding how teachers provide feedback. Drawing upon Ellis’ (2009) typology of written Corrective Feedback (CF), this study explored the most common feedback types provided by EFL teachers. Moreover, the study aimed at finding out whether teachers’ teaching experience and learners’ proficiency level had any bearing on the type of feedback the teachers provided. Eleven teachers provided feedback on 301 descriptive essays written by EFL students in English. The findings revealed that teachers mostly tended to employ direct CF to correct their students’ linguistic errors. This was followed by indirect CF and metalinguistic CF, respectively. It came to light that focused CF, electronic feedback, and reformulation had no popularity among Iranian EFL teachers. The experienced teachers opted more for indirect feedback while the inexperienced ones preferred direct feedback.  Teachers were more inclined to provide intermediate students with direct CF whereas they provided more indirect CF to the upper intermediate students. The results suggest that not all teachers’ perceptions about feedback can necessarily be rendered into classroom practices and various factors, including culture, society, learners and teachers themselves impact teachers’ beliefs and practices.

Background: Since of the importance of publishing medical articles in evaluation of faculty members’ activity and ranking of universities, this study was designed investigate faculty members’ opinion about intendancy in writing Persian and non Persian articles. Methods and Materials: This cross-sectional analytical study is carried out by census method. Data were gathered by a questionnaire which its validity and reliability were confirmed. Data was analyzed by ANOVA, T-test, Chi square and correlation coefficient.Results: The most important barriers in academic members' intendancy to articles were too busy in education or clinical treatment with the mean of 4.28±1.06, lack of experienced persons for writing non Persian articles as counselor with the mean of 3.98±1.00 , lack of research teams with the mean of 3.95±0.98, long time in proposal approval with the mean of 3.96±1.02, lack of journal editorial board supporting in accepting of descriptive articles with the mean of 3.95±1.02 and long time from receiving articles until their approval and publishing with the mean of 3.95±1.07.Conclusion: By decreasing education hours, shortening the process of proposal approval, introducing expert persons in writing non Persian articles as counselor, shortening the process of evaluating and publishing or rejecting articles can increase academic members’ tendency in writing articles.
