Abstract: 

Psettodes erumei is the sole fish species belonging to Psettodidae family that lives in the Oman Sea. The species has a flat body and is thicker than other flat fishes. It has a large mouth with strong teeth and gray-brown color on body surface; and is mostly found in muddy-sandy substrates up to 25m depths. The species is carnivorous and feeds on prey fishes. The common trawl and gillnet are commonly used for catching the fish. This study was carried out in the Oman Sea in 2002 covering 86 trawling stations. After each haul, the trawl was emptied on board for separation, identification and weight measurement of the catch items. The CPUA was calculated by Swept Area method and used as an index for distribution analysis of the fish species. The maximum snout-length was found to be 66cm for the study area and the length-weight relationship was calculated as W= 0.0294 TL 2.7973

Abstract: 

The biomass of batoidfishes biomasses (rays and skates) was estimated during November and December 2005 in Hormuzgan provincial waters (between Ras Meidani in the Oman Sea and Ras Naiband in the Persian Gulf). The total biomass was 12454 tons. Furthermore, the estimated biomass for depth layers 10-20, 20-30 and 30-50 meter were 7567, 1966231 and 292 tons, respectively.In addition, the biomass, CPUA and CPUE rates were also evaluated for each species in different depth layers. Himantura gerrardi with 6065 tons in depth layer 10-20 meter and Torpedo sp. with 0.6 ton in depth layer 20-30 meter had maximum and minimum biomass, respectively, among all the specimens. The number per area, mean weight and catch per unit area of batoidfishes in different depth layers were statistically analysed at 95 percent confidence.The number and catch per unit area of Himantura gerrardi significantly differed (P<0.05) between depth layers 30-50 meter and deeper than 50 meter, but not for other species (P>0.05).

Abstract: 

Objective: Increases of population and Urbanization as an inclusive phenomenon, especially at the Metropolitans of Developed and Developing countries such an Iran, and problems spring from, had been caused that many of urban theoreticians consider to Citizen Participation at the Urban Affairs (CPUA). According to urban theories, citizen’s participation provides various benefits to both the individuals and organizations.In that present research, CPUA refers generally to citizen involvement in public decision making, planning, elects, Participation in Quarter affairs, obey Traffic orders, pay taxes and related fields.The purpose of study was to investigate the impact of social welfare on CPUA. Therefore, in this research, the theoretical frameworks dealing with the concepts of social welfare and participation (Habermas, Masslow, Frazer, Luhman, Brber, Driscol, Runciman, Davis, and Crosby), and previous empirical researches (Lee, Smith, Ekstrom, Rebori, Rose), have been scientifically studied.The main hypothesis derived from theoretical framework, is that social welfare (Material and Non material welfare) has a key role on CPUA.Method: This study used survey method. To measure dependent and independent variables, the data is gathered from 700 head families whom selected via Multistage sampling and then random sampling from 7 municipality zones in Isfahan city. It is worth mention, population statistic was 444552 head family (in the base of Census of Population and Housing in 2006).The collection instrument of data was Questionnaire, So that The response categories are on a six-point likert scale, ranging from ‘strongly disagree’ to ‘strongly agree’ (strongly agree, agree, some deal agree, some deal disagree, disagree and strongly disagree). Data analysis was performed using SPSS16 for windows and LISREL software.Findings: After doing the empirical test according to the data collected, results showed that the rate of CPUA was high and significant relationship between CPUA as a variable and independent variables (feeding of relative deprivation, Institutional trust, and Social satisfaction, health satisfaction, and material welfare) had been found out.Multiple regression models were constructed to determining predictors of CPUA. Result showed the rate of R adjust square equals %17. Namely we can say that 17 percent of variations of dependent variable, Explained by feeling of relative deprivation, institutional trust, and social satisfication. Other independent variables such a health satisfaction, and material welfare, excluded from regression model. Consequently, influence of institutional trust on dependent variable, had been more than other variables.Result: Result show whatever increases institutional trust, health Satisfaction, Social Satisfaction, and material welfare and decreases feeling of relative deprivation In short, institutional trust is a key point at predict citizen’s participation. Therefore policy makers could influence to citizens and caused them to CPUA in the condition that attract people trust previously.

Abstract: 

Regarding to estimate the catch per unit of area (CPUA) and demersal resources biomass in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, a series of monitoring research cruises were carried out from 2004 up to 2008 using the R/V Ferdows-1 equipped with stern trawl. The study area was from Khuzestan province in north-west of the Persian Gulf to Sistan-o-Baluchestan province in the east. The results of distribution pattern showed that the best fishing ground was restricted to the east and west of Hormuzgan province with emphasize on Bandar Abbas to Jask region. The next more abundance area belongs to Bushehr province waters due to the vast continental shelf area and also higher catch per unit of area. Amongst five strata of Sistan-o-Baluchestan province waters, the highest biomass and abundance were found in the fishing grounds of Gordeem, Rashedi and Konarak. A comparison between different depth layers, it was found that in the Persian Gulf, there is an ascending trend for biomass and CPUA with increase of depth with the highest values in depths of 30-50m. On the contrary, in the Oman Sea the highest biomass and CPUA were found in lower depths with the maximum value in depths of 10-20m.

Abstract: 

In this study, we used "Ferdows 1" research vessel and sampling conducted on random basis, through 119 sampling stations in 7 zones with 4 deep-sea layers as: 10-20, 20-30, 30-50 and 50-100 meters, throughout the Oman Sea. Achieved data recorded in pre-schemed forms and processed through "Excel" and "Arc View GIS" soft wares.One hundred species or genus identified in bottom trawl catch composition which categorized as commercial and non-commercial species. The total biomass of aquatics in bottom trawl net estimated as 52472.7 Mt.60% of this amount allocated to commercial demersal species with 31651.7 Mt.Comparing biomass rates in the Oman Sea layers, it is determined that the maximum biomass rate is in 50-100 and 10-20 meter layers, respectively.Study of CPUA in 7 zones of the Oman Sea revealed that identical to biomass, zone F (Sirik to Jask) positioned first with 20162 Kg per square nautical mile. For 10-20 meter layer, CPUA is 1.6 folded in 50-100 meter depth.

Abstract: 

Parastromateus niger is one of the most important species which has been studied in the project of “stock assessment of demersal resources by swept-area method in the Oman sea (1999-2000). 4 research cruises were conducted by R/V Ferdows-1. The area chosen for the study was from Meidani (58o55' E) to Gwatre Bay (61o30' E) having depths of 10 to 100m. The studied area of 1164 n.sq.mil. Was divided into 5 sub regions (A, B, C, D & E) each covering 30Minutes width. Each region was divided into 4-depth stratum: 10-20, 20-30, 30-50, and 50-100 meters. In each cruise, sampling was carried out for more than 90 stations using a bottom trawler. The seasonal and annual biomass for each region and stratum was estimated. The average annual biomass for the whole area was calculated as 616.37 tons and for each stratum of 10-20, 20-30, 30-50, and 50-100 m the estimation was 276.62, 105, 66.5, and 168.27 tons respectively. The maximum biomass was located in the depth of 10-20 m while the minimum was found in the depth of 30-50 meters. The annual average biomass for different regions of A, B, C, D and E was calculated as 75.27, 48.91, 224.03, 97.64, and 170.53 tons respectively. The fork length and total weight of 1258 specimens of p. niger were measured; the fork length ranged from 14.5 to 58.5 centimeters. Comparison of distribution patterns indicated that the p. niger inhabits mainly in front of estuary of Galak, Gordim and the head of Pozm. The seasonal parabolic equations of length and weight relationship were studied. In this regard, there was no significant difference among seasonal b-value. According to the calculated CPUA, the result indicated that in each season at least in one sampling station it was higher than the minimum base of concentrated level. The result showed that there is a schooling stock of this species in the region.

Abstract: 

به منظور بررسی و پیش بینی الگوی پراکنش ماهی حسون (Saurida tumbil) داده های صید بر واحد سطح سال 1387 حاصل از گشت های تحقیقاتی در حوزه آبهای استان هرمزگان مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. با استفاده از نرم افزار صفحه گسترده، تجزیه و تحلیل اولیه صورت گرفت و با نرم افزارهای سامانه اطلاعات جغرافیایی(GIS)  نقشه های پراکنش مکانی ماهی حسون بر اساس میزان صید بر واحد سطح (CPUA) Catch Per Unit of Area تهیه گردید. پس از آن به منظور پیش بینی الگوی پراکنش، نقشه های پارامترهای فیزیکی و شیمیایی آب منطقه شامل: دما، کدورت، شوری، چگالی، اکسیژن محلول، pH، کلروفیل a، هدایت الکتریکی، عمق، فاصله از ساحل، زمان صید و طول و عرض جغرافیایی تهیه گردید. نقشه های فوق الذکر پس از تبدیل به داده، بعنوان متغیرهای مستقل و CPUA ماهی حسون بعنوان متغیر وابسته در نظر گرفته شدند. نقشه ها پس از تبدیل بعنوان ورودی نرم افزار شبکه عصبی مصنوعی Networks (ANNs) Artificial Neural مورد استفاده قرار گرفت، که 60 درصد از داده ها برای آموزش، 20 درصد به منظور اعتبارسنجی و 20 درصد دیگر برای آزمایش عملکرد شبکه عصبی مصنوعی مورد استفاده قرار گرفتند و بهترین مدل شبکه عصبی مصنوعی، با درصد کارآیی بالا در یادگیری، آزمایش و اعتبار سنجی به عنوان الگویی برای پیش بینی انتخاب شد. با بکارگیری مدل، روی اطلاعات محدود آبشناسی و صید در منطقه، می توان پیش بینی الگوی پراکنش ماهی مورد نظر را انجام داد و با استفاده از الگوی پراکنش، می توان ناوگان صیادی را راهنمایی و دقیقا مناطق صید را برحسب مختصات جغرافیایی پیش بینی نمود.

Abstract: 

در این مطالعه پراکنش، تراکم و میزان توده زنده ماهیان جوان آب های ساحلی استان خوزستان واقع در شمال غربی خلیج فارس بین دی ماه 1385 تا آذر ماه 1386 مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نمونه برداری به صورت ماهیانه از 10 نقطه از آبهای خوزستان شامل 5 نمونه برداری در بخش غربی منطقه و 5 نمونه برداری در بخش شرقی منطقه با استفاده از تور ترال با قطر چشمه 24 میلیمتری که توسط شناور 360 اسب بخاری کشیده می شد انجام گرفت. نقشه پراکنش گونه های غالب، همچنین توده زنده و صید به ازای واحد سطح (CPUA) برای ماهیان جوان منطقه به دست آمد. بیشترین مقدار CPUA در مهر ماه برابر 629 کیلوگرم در کیلومتر مربع و کمترین مقدار آن در آذرماه با 76 کیلوگرم در کیلومتر مربع به دست آمد. بیشترین میزان توده زنده ماهیان جوان در تابستان و اوایل پاییز تخمین زده شد. نتایج آزمون آنالیز همبستگی بین نتایج حاصله و عوامل محیطی نشان دهنده رابطه معنی دار بین شوری و تعداد گونه ها در هر ماه و همچنین رابطه معنی دار بین دما و توده زنده ماهیان جوان بود که تایید کننده نقش عوامل محیطی در پراکنش ماهیان به ویژه در مراحل اولیه دوره زندگی می باشد.

Abstract: 

In conformity to study and predict the distribution pattern of lizardfish (Saurida tumbil) in the northern Persian Gulf (Hormuzgan province waters), the catch data of 2008 were collected and analyzed. The primary statistical analysis were done using Excel and then distribution maps were provided using GIS–software based on Catch Per Unit of Area index (CPUA). Then to forecast the distribution pattern, the maps of different physical and chemical parameters of sea water consist of temperature, turbidity, salinity, sigma T, oxygen, pH, chlorophyll a, electrical conductivity,  sound speed, depth, distance from coast, geographical position and time of towing were prepared and were used as independent value to be assessed with CPUA of lizardfish  as dependent value. These maps were used as input of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) software of which 60% of data for training, 20% for testing and 20% for validation were applied to prepare the best ANN model. With applying this model on catch and CPUA data, the distribution pattern with emphasize on fishing ground can be predicted for further fisheries management and leading the fishing activities to be concentrated in fishing grounds.

Abstract: 

VULNERABILITY OF AQUATICS, THE CAPABILITY OF REBUILDING THEIR RESOURCES, AND THE NEED OF HUMAN SOCIETIES, IMPELS US TO ALWAYS CONSIDER THE CHANGES AND THE PRESENT PROCESSES OF THE AQUATICS. ONE WAY TO MEET THIS PURPOSE IS TO DO REGULAR RESEARCH EXCURSIONS TO CONTROL THE POSSIBLE CHANGES IN VARIOUS POPULATIONS AND TO MAKE MANAGEMENT DECISIONS. A QUICK REVIEW OF FISHING DEMERSALS SHOWS THAT THE RATE OF LIVE MASS OF THIS FISH HAS DECREASED WHICH NECESSITATES THE INVESTIGATION AND STUDY OF DEMERSALS SOURCES. SO, THE PERSIAN GULF AND OMAN SEA WITH WATER AREA OF 4 SOUTHERN IRANIAN COASTS WERE COVERED THROUGH A NATIONAL PROJECT TITLED DEMERSALS RESOURCE MONITORING WITH THE SWEPT AREA METHOD AND WITH ONE MANAGEMENT FROM 2002 TO 2010. THE MOST IMPORTANT PURPOSES OF THIS PROJECT WERE: TO DEFINE THE CATCH PER UNIT AREA (FISHING) OF SPECIES OR AQUATIC GROUPS IN VARIOUS DEPTHS; TO DEFINE THE SPECIES COMBINATION OF DEMERSAL FISHES FOR PERSIAN GULF AND OMAN SEA SEPARATELY; AND TO IDENTIFY THE DOMINANT SPECIES IN PERSIAN GULF AND OMAN SEA AND THE SPECIES WHICH ARE AT RISK. TO DO THE OPERATIONAL TOURS, THE FERDOUS 1 RESEARCH VESSEL WAS EQUIPPED WITH TRAWLING NET. ALL THE WATERS OF FOUR PROVINCES WERE DIVIDED TO 17 SUB AREA NAMED FROM A TO Q. THEN, THE SAMPLING WAS DONE IN 320 STATIONS WHICH WERE RANDOMLY SELECTED. AFTER TRAWLING IN EACH STATION, THE AVERAGE OF CATCH PER UNIT AREA (CPUA) AND BIOMASS WERE CALCULATED FOR VARIOUS SPECIES AND FOR ALL THE DEMERSALS. THE COMPARISON OF THE PRESENT RESEARCH WITH PREVIOUS RESEARCHES DONE REVEALS THAT THERE ARE CONSIDERABLE CHANGES IN SPECIES COMBINATION OF PERSIAN GULF AND OMAN SEA FISHES.
