Abstract:

This study provides a comprehensive scientific analysis of contemporary problems resulted from the FORCED MIGRATION of the Ukrainian population and its impact on the sustainable development of 47 host communities of Poltava region. By means of cluster analysis 4 clusters of 26 rural territories were identified. They differ in the size of local budgets and the involvement level of FORCEDly displaced population into the local economy. Factor analysis showed that the involvement level of FORCEDly displaced population in the region’ s economy is determined by 2 groups according to 10 indicators. 8 indicators of the first factor determine 2/3 of the dispersion of refugees’ impact on rural economy. The first factor reduces the gross regional product by 61. 75%. The indicators of the second factor shows a positive impact and determines 15% of the dispersion. The use of game theory to identify conflicts of interest between refugees and host communities was justified. The reasonability to use the taxonomy method to construct a map of positioning rural areas according to the size of local budgets and the degree of integration of refugees is justified. The use of the created map identified the “ growth points” in particular clusters. As a result of the implementation of the proposed conflict resolution mechanism between refugees and host communities, the budget of the rural areas of the first cluster increased by 18%, the second cluster by 14. 5%, the third cluster by 13%, the fourth by 8%, refugee participation by 30%.

Abstract:

The idea of FORCED eruption or extrusion was first introduced for the treatment of transverse root fractures in 1973 but indications of FORCED eruption were increased in modern dentistry. The intent of this article is to review the periodontal indications, clinical considerations and techniques for this procedure.

Abstract:

Restoration of severely damaged teeth requires comprehensive, carefully planned pretreatment. Usually, the teeth with fractures or caries extended up to or below the alveolar crest can be treated by conventional surgical crown lengthening at the expense of supporting bone. FORCED eruption or extrusion of teeth is an alternative procedure to overcome problems with dental esthetics and removing of supporting tissues. Two case reports are used as a basis for reviewing the FORCED eruption with and without supracrestal fibrotomy.

Abstract:

In the international area, one of the most important problem is FORCED MIGRATION, particularly for women. Therefore, it is essential to examine the causes and consequences of FORCED MIGRATION for women. The main objective of this study is to investigate the attitude of Afghan women toward non-voluntary MIGRATION. For the purpose of data collection, qualitative research method and in-depth interview technique were used. Using the snowball method, a sample of thirty Afghan women living in Tehran were selected for interview. The Afghan women who were included in this study mentioned insecurity, Taliban repression, ethnic strife, inadequacy of health and educational facilities, poverty and unemployment as the reasons for their MIGRATION to Iran. These causes of MIGRATIONs could be divided into three general categories: 1-war with a foreign enemy and internal conflict, 2-the collapse of the country's economic infrastructure, and 3-family reasons. It was clear that these women who were largely subordinated to their husbands, fathers, or other male family members, had nonetheless played a significant role in the MIGRATION process directly or indirectly.

Abstract:

Following the outbreak of crisis in Syria and the subsequent internal armed conflicts, a large number of Syrians had to leave their home country in order to save their lives. Some fled to the neighbouring countries and some went to the European ones. In the present article, we will first discuss certain international law concepts to see which is more suitable to classify Syrian migrants thereunder. Then we will proceed to identify the rules of international law applicable to them. Finally, a legal assessment will be made of the measures undertaken by the host countries in response to the flow of Syrian migrants into their soil.

Abstract:

FORCED MIGRATION has become a world-wide phenomenon in the past century, affecting increasing numbers of countries and people. It entails important challenges from a global health perspective. Leppold et al have critically discussed the Japanese interpretation of global responsibility for health in the context of FORCED MIGRATION. This commentary complements their analysis by outlining three priority areas of global health responsibility for European Union (EU) countries. We highlight important stages of the MIGRATION phases related to FORCED MIGRATION and propose three arguments. First, the chronic neglect of the large number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the discourses on the "refugee crisis" needs to be corrected in order to develop sustainable solutions with a framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Second, protection gaps in the global system of protection need to be effectively closed to resolve conflicts with border management and normative global health frameworks. Third, effective policies need to be developed and implemented to meet the health and humanitarian needs of FORCED migrants; at the same time, the solidarity crisis within the EU needs to be overcome. These stakes are high. EU countries, being committed to global health, should urgently address these areas.

Abstract:

Climate change and its consequences for residents in various regions have led to environmental MIGRATION, which has become in the center of attention of researchers and policymakers. Using mixed method approach, this paper aims to understand the relationship between drought and internal MIGRATION. Accordingly, in the quantitative part, by estimating the 30-year drought level for 110 counties using the SPI index and out-MIGRATION rates of the selected counties, the relation between these two variables was examined. The results show that drought in dry regions has a positive relationship with MIGRATION in these regions. However, no correlation was found in other areas of the country with different climates. In order to better understand the issue, two districts of Negin Kavir in Kerman Province and Tasooj in Fars Province, which are regions with very dry climates, respectively, have been investigated. A sample of residents of each region were in-depth interviewed about the effects of drought on their lives. The results indicate that drought affects the residents of these regions in two ways: risking their livelihoods and risking people’s health. In the occurrence of continuous droughts, MIGRATION is considered as a last solution to the problem, and prior to that the residents of such regions try to confront this problem by adjusting their lives with these new conditions. However, in comparison with residents of more developed regions, residents of less-developed regions have a less opportunity to adapt with the new condition. Accordingly, adaptation strategies in these regions have failed, and people were FORCED to migrate. Therefore, the impact of drought on MIGRATION depends upon the climate situation as well as regional economic contexts and development level.
