Introduction: Evaluation of hospital INFORMATION SYSTEM (HIS) is a complex endeavor, in which all human, technical and organizational aspects should be considered. This study aimed to develop indicators for HIS evaluation. Methods: Present qualitative study was carried out through a cross-sectional method in 2012 in Kerman province, using Delphi technique. Given the objectives of this study, three independent phases were performed including literature review, providing draft indicators for HIS evaluation and reaching consensus. Required data were obtained through interviews and designed forms. Twenty-three experts composed the study population in interview and reaching consensus phases. Validity and reliability were confirmed through content validity and test-retest method, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Final set of indicators for HIS evaluation consisted of ninety-one indicators under 8 main topics, i.e. technical quality, software quality, architecture and interface quality, vendor quality, after-sale services quality, workflow support quality, support department, outcome quality and HIS cost. Conclusion: Given the complexity of INFORMATION SYSTEM evaluation, all human, technical and organizational aspects have to be taken into account in any evaluation. Proposed indicators provide the possibility of comprehensive evaluation of HIS.

Introduction and goal: Yearly statistics show a considerable number of life loses in the world resulted from Malaria disease.Consequently, substantial efforts and budgets have to be dedicated to the control and elimination of this disease. Development of simulation models can help in understanding and studying the distribution of the disease. The goal of this research is to develop an easily-understandable patio-temporal model of the Malaria distribution.Methodology: To model the distribution of the disease, the spatial analysis capabilities of Geospatial INFORMATION SYSTEMs (GIS), Cellular Automata (CA) and epidemic model of SIR are used. The proposed model is implemented in Matlab and ArcGIS software environments. Different gray levels of the cells and proper time epochs are used for the visualization of the disease distribution process in space and time. A part of Minab township in Hormozgan province, in Iran, is selected as the study area, because of its high figures of the disease occurrences. Results: In the developed simulation model, by introducing the spatial data layers and the input parameters, the distributed of the disease in space and time is visualized. An important capability provided by the model is to generate and study different scenarios. As examples, the effect of distance to stagnant water bodies, the concurrent effect of temperature and humidity, and the effects of some other parameters, introduced by Malaria experts, in the distribution of the disease, are simulated. Conclusions: The simulation model developed in this research can help the managers to understand and predict the distribution of the Malaria in any given area or situation. Moreover, the model can be used to study the results of any decision taken by the managers, when trying to prevent or control the disease. For example, the effect of different levels of vaccination in an area can be tested and analyzed by the model.

Abstract:

The daily increasing urbanization and population growth in Iran are among the factors that expand the city borders and lead to the formation of large cities with enormous population. Establishing a SYSTEM through which all citizens can put forward their request via computer networks makes the city hall available to every citizen. By setting up electronic networks in the city hall, all the INFORMATION related to the city and urban management will be stored in the shortest time possible and will be available to other organizations and citizens after evaluation. Also the availability of the required INFORMATION for making administrative decisions by exact up-to-date methods will remove the organizational barriers which impede the flow of INFORMATION among different sectors.Nowadays, there is no choice but making use of the capabilities of advanced INFORMATION Technology and using GIS in urban planning and management, to lay the ground for comprehensive urban INFORMATION. With this point taken into account, the present study tries to introduce the GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM of Babolsar city. with the aim of equalizing the INFORMATION ground inside and outside the organization among factors directly and indirectly affecting the spatial organization and realizing the concept of electronic urban management, GIS of Babolsar city was carried out during the years 2006-2007 over 25% of the city area, and came to be a turning point in Mazandaran Province in leading urban management toward the comprehensive INFORMATION SYSTEM, to achieve high level urban management goals and the cooperation of people.

In exploration, expense and time are important. For minimizing this parameter and for decreasing the risk of exploration, we can use GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM. The abilities of this SYSTEM that can be used in decorative stones exploration are answering two questions: 1- What is at this location? 2- Where are all locations that have this attribute? The means of location is a place where, there are favorable conditions of a suitable decorative stone. But in decorative stones exploration favorable conditions are defined and selected by descriptive parameters of target location. After integrating the data for prospecting decorative stone by the help of related soft wares, necessary analyses are performed. For each of the criteria of target location prepare a binary map and at last all the binary maps, are combined. The output will be a map which in that the suitable areas for decorative stones exploration are defined with a separate color in comparison with the unsuitable areas that are also defined as different color .

Abstract:

In order to determine optimum landuses (in accordance with natural capability) and improve the current land management, landuse planning process was applied by using GIS. Within the framework of SYSTEM analysis approach basic ecological and socio-economic data were mapped. The mapped data were digitized and imported to Idrisi and Arc/Info, to build a Database, along with other descriptive data. The process of GEOGRAPHIC coordinates registration, building topology and editing the maps were done in Arc/Info. Then, in the analysis stage, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was prepared using contour map in Idrisi. Based on that, slope, aspect and elevation maps were produced. In the middle stage of the analysis, environmental units map and units attribute table were made by overlaying slope, elevation, aspect, soil and vegetation type and density layers in Arc/Info. Then, environmental units attribute table was completed by considering other ecological and socio-economic data in ArcView. Specific ecological models were supplied for Dadghan basin and using Structured Query Language (SQL), each of environmental units capability was determined and mapped for alloted landuses. In the last analysis and landuse planning process stage, the priority of suitable landuses (in accordance with natural capability) was determined and mapped by cosidering landuse prerequisites and using SQL. Finally, in order to predict institutional, organizational and executive arrangements, criteria and regulations of establishing optimum landuses were presented together with buffers criteria and executive-organizational framework of basin management plan.

Abstract:

There are certain capabilities in GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) that rarely can be seen in other computer techniques. The significant characteristics of GIS are speed, accuracy and exactness in designing and planning. Most governmental offices and organizations, insurance companies, health and transportation centers, medical and engineering centers use this technique to plan and improve their SYSTEMs. GIS is also employed by archaeologists for various purposes: three dimensional images of an area, combining geophysical data with other related data and finally shapes and coverage of the land for computerized simulation. The archaeological GIS would become more significant and functional in future. This article provides useful INFORMATION about GIS and its application in archaeology.

Abstract:

The present study, which is of an applied type, was conducted in 1400 with the aim of geotechnical zoning of the soil of Ahvaz city using GIS. By collecting geotechnical INFORMATION obtained from 200 drilled boreholes to a depth of 10 meters and using ArcGis software, soil geotechnical parameters were zoned in Ahvaz. Factors affecting soil bearing capacity including soil adhesion, internal friction angle and soil specific gravity were selected for zoning. The results of stress calculations showed the existence of a linear increase relationship between its values at different soil depths. The zoned interpolation map of internal friction angle in Ahvaz city showed that with increasing soil depth, internal friction angle has increased. The highest internal friction angle at a depth of 2 meters was recorded in the northeast of Ahvaz (Kianpars area) with more than more than 41 degrees. With increasing depth, the internal friction angle has increased, so that at a depth of 10 meters, in most boreholes drilled in the mentioned areas, the amount of internal friction angle has increased to more than 41 degrees. The results of the adhesion zoning map based on the drilled boreholes showed that there is no statistical relationship between this geotechnical component and the depth increase. Also, the study of soil specific gravity based on drilled boreholes and zoning interpolation map in the present study showed that with increasing soil depth, the average specific gravity increased significantly from 1.6% at 2 m depth to 47.9% at depth 10 Meters has been reached. In general, these components, especially specific gravity, are related to determining the load-bearing capacity of the soil and can be used to assess the feasibility of choosing the best spatial option for the construction of specific projects.
