Abstract: 

STAGES ARE PROPER TOOLS FOR MOVING IN X-Y DIRECTIONS WITH HIGH RESOLUTION IN MICRO METER OR NANO METER SCALES.3D MICRO PRINTERS FOR MEMS FABRIC-ATION, TISSUE PRINTERS, OPTICAL DEVICES AND MICROSCOPES ARE SOME EXAMPLES WHICH NEED HIGH RESOLUTION STAGES. IN THIS PAPER A NEW MICROPOSITIONING STAGE IS PROPOSED WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO STEP MOTORS, BALL SCREWS, INTERFACE BOARD AND COMPUTER. INTERFACE BOARD INCLUDES ARM PROCESSOR WHICH MAKES CONNECTION BETWEEN COMPUTER AND STAGE. COMPUTER IS THE MAIN PROCESSOR WHICH RUNS CONTROLLING ALGORITHM. OBVIOUSLY, IT CAN BE REPLACED BY A SIMPLE MICROPROCESSOR WHEN THE CONTROL METHOD IS FINALIZED. THE PRIMARY RESULTS SHOW GOOD RESOLUTION, ALMOST 1 MICROMETER, WHILE THE MOVING LENGTH IS MORE THAN 100 MILLIMETER. ETHERNET CONNECTION IS USED FOR TRANSFERRING DATA BETWEEN COMPUTER AND HARDWARE. AS ANOTHER INNOVATION, THE STAGE CAN BE CONTROLLED REMOTELY BY LAN CONNECTION.

Abstract: 

Background: One of the harmful factors in the field of occupational health is exposure to noise and vibration. Better control of hazardous agent requires robust and efficient software that prevents the increased risk with real-time control. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of setting a system using LABVIEW software to monitor the sound momently.Methods: The research is an experimental study that was doing by using LABVIEW software, microphones and sound analyzer card. Environmental information collected as sound pressure level via microphones and then processed by the sound analyzes card. The information showed by software as a graph or plot in the next step.Findings: This software is including the front panel, back panel and connector panel that with these panels can be determined information such as various frequency weighting and time weighing. After entering the information, can be specified the sound pressure level, sound amplitude, power spectrum, power spectral density and other sound characteristics.Conclusion: LABVIEW programming capabilities in the field of sound can be referred to the measurement of sound, frequency analysis and sound control that actually the software acts like a sound level meter and sound analyzer. According to the mentioned features, you can use this software to analyze and process sound and vibration as a monitoring system.

Abstract: 

Better accurate stethoscope measurements have been needed to diagnose heart problems earlier, monitor patients, and provide initial clinical data for physicians. This study aims to evaluate an electronic stethoscope for automatic identification of heart rate by monitoring Beats Per Minute (BPM) in real-time. In this work, a new design with a low cost electronic stethoscope is designed and implemented as a simple circuit for a replacement with conventional stethoscopes. This presented a low cost stethoscopes consisting of a preamplifier, low-pass filter, high-pass filter, microcontroller and Bluetooth. This simulation and experimental study was carried out for electronic circuit design testing. The condenser microphone transmited the signal into the signal conditioning circuit, and amplified it from 10 to 30 times. The low-and high-pass filter circuit was with cutoffs of 180 Hz and 50 Hz, respectively. The result shows that the fourth-order Butterworth filter was the best filter, with a gain of 0. 707 Volt,-3. 01 dB, and 0. 782 Volt,-2. 137 dB, respectively. The real-time measurements using the system are not significantly different from the manual measurements, with around 2-5%, with a delay of 1. 7 to 2 seconds. The results indicated that an electronic stethoscope system could provide suitable information for BPM value and could display heart sound signals.

Abstract: 

This paper presents a practical implementation for a new formula of nonlinear PID (NPID) control. The purpose of the controller is to accurately trace a preselected position reference of one stage servomechanism system. The possibility of developing a transfer function model for the experimental setup is elusive because of the lack of system data. So, the identified model is developed via gathering experimental input/output data. The performance of the enhanced nonlinear NPID controller had been investigated by comparing it with a linear PID controller. The harmony search tuning system is built to determine the optimum parameters for each control technique based on an effective objective function. The experimental outcomes and the simulation results show that the proposed NPID controller has a minimum rise time and settling time through constant position reference test. Also, the NPID control is faster than the linear PID control by 40% in the case of the variable position reference test.

This study presents the kinematic analysis of a four-degree freedom medical robotic arm using the Matlab and the robotic-tool, the arm was designed using a solid work program, As well as details of the control of the real design of this arm using Arduino Mega 2560, The specialist enters the position to be reached by the automatic arm (injection position), Or moving the arm to any position by entering the values of the corners of the joints, In this search, we have moved the arm to the selected position Without injecting into the muscle which need another study and a medical sensor determines the amount of needle entry in the muscle, According to criteria determined by the specialist and can be added to the designed interface.

Abstract: 

In this study a photo-voltaic system of Flexible Solar Panels was designed, manufactured and evaluated in a scale of one square meter equivalent to 56 Watt. Conventional photo-voltaic systems are not suitable for curved surfaces. Accordingly, a flexible system was developed on a flat, cylindrical and hemisphere surface. As regards environmental variables, a temperature sensing system was designed to receive data online and communicate with LABVIEW Software. Economic analysis of the system using the COMFAR software is reported. Meteorological station data have been used as part of the required environmental data. Using Taguchi Experimental Design, the merit of alternative photo-voltaic surfaces is identified to be hemisphere, cylindrical and flat surfaces. The Taguchi Experimental Design Model indicated that the optimum System Power for flat, cylindrical and hemisphere surface is 54.05, 53.30 and 55.70W respectively. Economic analysis indicates that The Internal Return Rate (IRR) for flat, cylindrical and hemisphere surface was 23.82 and 26.70 and 27.46 percent respectively. The Net Present Value (NPV) was 6.747 And 9.952 and 10.830 million Rials for hemisphere, cylindrical and flat surfaces, respectively.

Abstract: 

Abstract: In the present study, an electro-hydraulic system for repositioning the soil shield of a rotary tiller was designed, developed, and evaluated to make it automated for performing variable rate tilling operation. The reposition of the soil shield was studied in the opening and closing stages from 0° to 80° and vice versa, with a 10° and 20° increment under laboratory and field conditions, respectively. Under laboratory conditions, the speed average of soil shield reposition in the opening and closing stages were 102.0±9.2 and 79.0±8.7 deg/s, with the time average in opening and closing stages of 0.11±0.02 and 0.15±0.01 s, respectively. The correlation coefficients between the requested position for the soil shield and the position created by the hydraulic actuator under laboratory conditions in both opening and closing states were R2 = 0.99 (RMSE = 0.7 deg). Under field conditions, the speed average of the soil shield reposition at three travel speeds of 2.6, 3.5, and 4.8 km/h in the opening stage were 97.7, 99.1, and 99.1 deg/s and in the closing stage were 77.3, 78.3, and 78.7 deg/s, respectively. The correlation between the requested position for the soil shield and the position created by the hydraulic actuator in both opening and closing states were R2 = 0.99 (RMSE = 1.2 deg) and R2=0.99 (RMES=1.3 deg), respectively. The soil shield repositioning system can be performed in less than 0.3 s in-field, making it an effective and practical tool for performing variable rate tillage.

Abstract: 

Background: Periodic quality control (QC) procedures are important in order to guarantee the image quality of radiological equipment and are also conducted using phantoms simulating human body. Objective: To perform (QC) measurements in intraoral imaging devices, a new and simple phantom was manufactured. Besides, to simplify QC procedures, computerized LABVIEW-based software has been devised, enabling determination of image quantitative parameters in real time or during post processing. Material and Methods: In this experimental study, the novel developed phantom consists of a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) circular insert. It is able to perform a complete QC image program of X-ray intraoral equipment and also causes the evaluation of image uniformity, high and low contrast spatial resolution, image linearity and artefacts, with only two exposures. Results: Three raters analyzed the images using the LABVIEW dedicated software and determined the quantitative and qualitative parameters in an innovative and accurate way. Statistical analysis evaluated the reliability of this study. Good accuracy of the quantitative and qualitative measurements for the different intraoral systems was obtained and no statistical differences were found using the inter-rater analysis. Conclusion: The achieved results and the related statistical analysis showed the validity of this methodology, which could be proposed as an alternative to the commonly adopted procedures, and suggested that the novel phantom, coupled with the LABVIEW based software, could be considered as an effective tool to carry out a QC image program in a reproducible manner.

Abstract: 

Hybrid simulation is a relatively new and efficient tool that uses the advantages of both numerical and experimental methods to evaluate the performance of structures under different loadings. In this paper, a hybrid simulation framework has been developed, in which OpenSees was considered as finite element software for modeling numerical part, OpenFresco as middleware for data exchange and LABVIEW as data collector and actuator movement controller. Utilizing OpenFresco in the developed framework, would be facilated conducting geographically distributed hybrid simulations. As the connection between OpenFresco and LABVIEW is hand shaking, the processing speed is very high and the delay between sending displacement and receiving force is only due to the dynamics and movement of the engine and the bandwidth of the sensor, so there is no interruption during this process and in this case, there is no need to define the predictor-corrector algorithm to keep the actuator movement continuous. To validate the accuracy and efficiency of the developed framework, an improved widened flange beam-column connection was considered in a one story one bay steel moment frame, and the mentioned frame was divided into two numerical and experimental substructures in such a way that half of the frame was modeled two-dimensionally in OpenSees and the other half was constructed in the laboratory. The horizontal acceleration of the Tabas earthquake was subjected to the frame. The accuracy of the control system which was used in the developed framework was investigated by comparing the measured and the command displacements, and the small value of HSEM indicated the proper performance of the control process. To evaluate the performance of hybrid simulation, a coupled numerical simulation (virtual hybrid simulation) was considered as a reference model. In this fully numerical simulation, ABAQUS and OpenSees were used as finite element software and OpenFresco as middleware. Results of coupled numerical simulation and hybrid simulation were compared with each other and the obtained accuracy index (εrms) indicated the accuracy and appropriate performance of the developed hybrid simulation framework.
