Abstract: 

APART FROM BIOMEDICAL AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION, DENDRIMERS HAVE BEEN USED AS CURING AGENTS [1]. THE STRUCTURE OF THESE BRANCHED MONODISPERSED CURING AGENTS HAS SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON CHEMICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE EPOXY RESINS [2].ALIPHATIC DENDRIMERS SUCH AS POLYAMIDOAMINEPAMAM [3] AND POLY (PROPYLENE IMINE) PPI [4] HAVE BEEN RECENTLY USED AS CURING AGENT FOR AFEW EPOXY RESINS.HERE WE WISH TO REPORT THE SYNTHESIS OF SOME DENDRIMERS HAVING TRIAZINE CORES AND AMINO FUNCTIONALIZED SHELLS (1) AND THEIR APPLICATIONS AS CURING AGENTS FOR SOME COMMERCIAL EPOXY RESINS SUCH AS LY5052 AND EPON 828.THESE ARE TETRA- AND DI-GLYCIDYL EPOXY RESINS RESPECTIVELY.THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE PROPERTIES OF THE ABOVE DENDRIMERIC CURING AGENTS AND ORDINARY ONES HAS BEEN ALSO PROVIDED.

Abstract: 

This investigation deals with transient analysis of cold standby system with n units. Chapman-Kolmogorov equations are developed for repair facility with two repairmen and solved by using matrix technique. Availability and reliability factors have been obtained with probability of the system. A particular case has also been discussed.

Abstract: 

Due to their versatility and diversity, catalytic multi-component isocyanide-based reactions (IMCR), are very interesting and important. Isocyano group is a unique functional group due to its reactivity toward electerophiles and nucleophiles at the same atom. It participates in many multi-component reactions along with various catalysts which dramatically improve reaction conditions for the achievement of better yields, milder and benign reaction condition and in some cases better stereoselectivities. In this review, we wish to disclose the recent applications of metal, basic, acidic and many other catalytic systems in the IMCRs. In supplementary section we also updated our review with all related publications in 2010.

Abstract: 

In this paper, a Multivariate-Multistage Quality Control (MVMSQC) procedure is investigated, hi this procedure discriminate analysis, linear regression and control chart theory are combined to control the means of correlated characteristics of a process, which involves several serial stages. Furthermore, the quality of the output at each stage depends on the output of the previous stage as well as the process of the current stage. The theoretical aspects and the applications of this procedure are enhanced and clarified and its performance is evaluated through a series of simulated data. Both in-control (type one error) and out-of-control (type two error) Average Run Length (ARL) studies are made and the performance of the MVMSQC methodology is discussed.

Abstract: 

BACKGROUND: PHOSPHONATES HAVE IMPORTANT APPLICATIONS IN ORGANIC SYNTHESIS [1], AND BIOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS [2]. THEN, STABLE DERIVATIVES OF OXAPHOSPHAPHENANTHRENES WERE PREPARED USING OF DIALKYL ACETYLENEDICARBOXYLATE WITH 3-BROMO-2-NAPHTHOL IN THE PRESENCE OF TRIMETHYL OR TRIPHENYL PHOSPHITE IN GOOD YIELDS.METHODS: TO A MAGNETICALLY STIRRED SOLUTION OF DIALKYL ACETHYLENEDICARBOXYLATE (2 MMOL) AND 3-BROMO-2-NAPHTHOL (2 MMOL) IN 20 CM3 CH3CN WAS ADDED TRIPHENYL PHOSPHITE OR TRIMETHYL PHOSPHITE (2 MMOL) UNDER MICROWAVE CONDITIONS. THE REACTION MIXTURE WAS THEN STIRRED FOR 6H. AFTER COMPLETION OF REACTION (MONITORED BY TLC), THE MIXTURE OF REACTION WAS PURIFIED BY PREPARATIVE TLC ON SILICA GEL COLUMN CHROMATOGRAPHY USING N-HEXANE-ETOAC AS ELUENT TO GIVE PRODUCTS.RESULTS: THE RESULTS OF REACTION OF DIALKYL ACETYLENEDICARBOXYLATE 2, 3-BROMO-2-NAPHTHOL 1 AND TRIMETHYL OR TRIPHENYL PHOSPHITE LEADS TO 3-BROMO-4H-1-OXA-PHOSPHAPHENANTHRENE-3, 4-DICARBOXYLATE DERIVATIVES 4 IN EXCELLENT YIELDS.

Abstract: 

A NOVEL Multicomponent NANOBIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITE CONSISTED CORN STARCH, HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE), LINEAR LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (LLDPE) AND NANOCLAY CLOISITE 30B WERE PREPARED BY MELT MIXING. POLYETHYLENE GRAFTED MALEIC ANHYDRIDE (PE-G-MA) WAS USED AS A COMPATIBILIZER IN THIS COMPOSITES. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT IN ADDITION 3% WT OF NANO CLAY IN THE COMPOSITES, A GOOD DISPERSION OF THE NANO PARTICLES AND A COMBINATION OF INTERCALATED AND NEARLY EXFOLIATED STRUCTURE WAS OBTAINED IN THE SAMPLE BY MICROSTRUCTURE STUDY OF X-RAY DIFFRACTION. MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE BIO COMPOSITES SHOWED THAT THE TENSILE STRENGTH, YOUNG’S MODULUS AND ELONGATION AT BREAK INCREASE WHEN A CLOISITE 30B WAS USED AS A REINFORCEMENT. BIODEGRADATION STUDIED IN ACTIVATED SLUDGE SAMPLES WERE TESTED BY WEIGHT LOSS METHODS AND SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (SEM) OBSERVED HOLES AND CRACKS ON THE SURFACES CAN BE CONSIDERED AS SIGNS OF THE SAMPLES BIODEGRADATION.
