Abstract:

Objective: This study examined the presence of the phenomenon of Recency and the role of accounting information quality in the Recency manifestation, concentrating on capital market mechanism with the use of accounting information. Method: In this study, earning per share, return on assets, return on equity and book value per share were used as indicators for accounting information. The method of data analysis was inferential. To test the research hypotheses, panel data multiple regression model and data of 148 companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange during 2008-2017 were used. Results: The findings showed that accounting information quality mitigates the Recency phenomenon in investors behavior in the Iranian capital Market. Conclusion: By improving the quality of accounting information reported by companies, behavioral bias in investing decision making cab be reduced.

Abstract:

The message recall effects consist of the primary effects, middle effects and Recency effects. People who recall the first part of the list are affected by the primary effects, those who recall the middle part are affected by the middle effects, and those who recall the last part are affected by the Recency effects. The present research is to investigate the Recency effects of Persian verbal radio commercials on the memory of their listeners. Also the study is to represent the effects of using short sentences and slogans in Persian radio commercials. The research methods are the field study and experimental. To perform the trials, six out of the 50 Persian radio commercials were chosen, which were broadcasted from Iran, Javan and Payam radio channels in February and March, 2011. Six blank-sentence tests were designed according to the commercials. 71 participants (44 men and 27 women) were randomly selected. Listening the commercials twice, they wrote the missing words in the tests they recalled. The results suggest the Recency items with minrank (2.77) of a Persian radio commercial have more effects on the listeners’ working memory and are recalled better than the primary (2.16) and the middle items (%1.06). Also short sentences and slogans (99.79) have more effects on the listeners’ working memory and they are recalled well than the others (41.80). The results are suitable for Persian radio commercial programmers, goods producers and service institution administrators to take the listeners’ attractions to introduce their goods and services better. Linguists and psychologists can also use these results to study the effects of sentence positions on people’s memories.

Abstract:

Purpose: Studies have shown that price trends such as momentum in the stock market form opportunities for abnormal returns. The underreaction of investors to reference points, due to behavioral bias, is one of the reasons for forming momentum. In this research, the role of Recency bias in forming momentum pattern is investigated. Methods: Research is a ex-post facto research that is carried out using a portfolio study method and data obtained from 108 companies from Tehran Stock Exchange during the 10 years from the beginning of 1386 to the end of 1395 (Solar Hijri-Iranian calendar) and selecting the three reference prices including 13-, 26-and 52-week high prices. Also, robustness tests based on Fama-French multi-factor model and Fama-MacBeth model. Results: Momentum strategies based on 13, 26 and 52-week reference prices in the portfolios of 20% winner-loser stocks are 0%, 8. 2%, and, 8. 1%, respectively, the latter two being statistically significant. With 3 and 6-month echo periods, the strategy of the 26-week high at portfolio levels is significant and this return is maintained by adjusting the risk factors. The results were evaluated by robustness tests and the evidences indicate that the findings are significant in the presence of control variables. Conclusions: results showed momentum strategy based on 26-week high price due to Recency bias (that is defined by Recency ratio) has a higher performance compared to other reference prices that can be explained by the phenomenon of updating reference points. It also improves with increasing echo effect. Contribution: In this study, the role of the Recency bias and the echo effect with the three reference prices is examined and the 26-week high price is considered as a notable reference price which along with other reference prices in theory (such as a 52-week high price) can be used to define the momentum strategy.

Abstract:

Introduction: Blood donation rate in developed countries is 18 times higher than developing countries. It is estimated that if only five percent of Iran population embark on blood donation, it will be adequate to meet the needs of the community. The aim of this paper is to identify the blood donators’ loyalty behavior for proper planning to extend and enhance blood donation habits among the community. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was applied through census in the present study. The data extracted from blood transfusion center of Tehran from 2005 to 2010 was used in this study. Clementine 12. 0 was used for data analysis. K-Means clustering is based on demographic data and RFM values modes which were applied to obtain the best ratio among different fields. Results: The mean value of root mean square standard deviation for RFB-based clustering and demographic were 10. 7194 and 11. 1411, respectively. This finding confirmed better data clustering by RFB-based algorithm. The data were placed by RFB-based algorithm in four clusters. The fourth cluster consisted of single males who obtained the best loyalty rank and the third cluster consisted of married females who obtained the least loyalty rank. Conclusion: Applying data mining methods for analysis and classification of blood donors changes current attitude towards blood donation procedure. Survey of donor behavior helps us to identify faster and more precise donor loyalty as well as having proper management of the blood transfusion centers.

Abstract:

Introduction: Sequential word learning is a crucial aspect of memory research in cognitive neuroscience, emphasizing the importance of recalling words at the beginning (primacy) and end (Recency) of a sequence. This study aims to investigate the extent of primacy and Recency effects in patients with neglect syndrome caused by right parietal lobe damage. Methods: This case-control study involved 18 patients with parietal lobe tumors, divided into two groups: 9 patients with neglect syndrome and nine without. Patients referred to the neurosurgery department of Shahid Tajrish Hospital with right parietal lobe lesions underwent neurological and psychological evaluations, including the cancellation test, line bisection test, copying test, and the 5-point test. Those diagnosed with neglect syndrome formed the syndrome group, while the rest constituted the control group. Both groups participated in immediate recall (short-term memory) and delayed recall (long-term memory) tests for sequential word learning, with results analyzed for primacy and Recency effects. Results: Among the 18 patients, 61% were men and 39% were women. Analysis of immediate and short-term memory tests for sequential word learning revealed no significant differences in primacy and Recency effects between the two groups. Conclusions: The findings suggest that patients with right parietal lobe damage and neglect syndrome do not exhibit significant differences in primacy or Recency effects in verbal memory during sequential word learning compared to the control group. Consequently, immediate and short-term memory appears relatively unaffected in these patients.

Abstract:

Hadith and philosophy are two sciences among Islamic sciences that due to fundamental differences in the way of accepting their propositions, Muslim thinkers have paid less attention to these two. Philosophy, of both the peripatetic and the Enlightenment, has dealt with rational and intuitive principles among Muslims and has relied less on the movables left by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the infallibles. This article focuses on Mulla Sadra's narrative view on the subject of ''novelty and antiquity of the soul" in the book Al-Nafs Asfar Arba'a. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of his narrative arguments in the novelty and antiquity of the soul to sit on scientific judgment in this regard. Due to the small number of sources that have used narrative propositions in philosophical studies, less research has been done in this field.

Abstract:

TIME IS ONE OF THE OLDEST PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES THAT PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT HAS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FROM THE BEGINNING OF PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT AND ITS EXPLANATION AND DEFINITION IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES. ARISTOTLE AND AVICENNA ARE GREAT PHILOSOPHERS WHO HAVE ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE WITH THEIR OWN THINKING AND PHILOSOPHICAL THINKING.THIS ARTICLE ATTEMPTS TO EXAMINE THE AVAILABLE RESOURCES AND THE LIBRARY METHODOLOGY TO THE PROBLEM OF TIME-DEFINITION FOR THESE TWO PHILOSOPHERS AND TO ELABORATE AND COMPARE THE COMMON POINTS AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM.ARISTOTLE BELIEVES THAT THE EXISTENCE OF MOTION IS THE REASON FOR THE EXISTENCE OF TIME, AND IF WE DO NOT PERCEIVE MOVEMENT, WE WILL NOT PERCEIVE TIME, AND ALTHOUGH TIME IS NOT THE SAME MOTION, IT IS NOT SEPARATE FROM MOVEMENT, THAT IS, WITHOUT MOTION, TIME WILL NOT BE.FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF AVICENNA, MAN, WITH THE INTENTION OF CONSCIENTIOUSNESS, THOUGHT AND REASON, FINDS THAT THE EXISTENCE OF TIME IS AN OBVIOUS AND ACTUAL FACT, AND THE PROOFS OF THE EXISTENCE OF TIME ARE MERELY PUNISHMENT AND AWARENESS OF THE EXISTENCE OF TIME. HE KNOWS TIME AS A TRANSCENDENTAL REALITY, WHICH IS DEPENDENT ON THE SUBJECT OF MOTION AND MOTION; HE CALLS THE TIME CONSTANT FOR MEASURING THE CONSTANT MODERNIZATION OF MOTION.

Abstract:

The aim of this study include cross-sectional predict stock returns by two momentum strategies " the timing of 52-week high price " (RR) and momentum "the highest price 52 weeks" (GH) is. To test the predictive power of the information strategy the 143 companies listed on Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2002 to 2013 were used. To test the hypotheses of the regression data have been mixed. The results suggest that "the highest price 52 week schedule" and "the highest price 52 weeks" are able to predict future stock returns. The findings show that future stock returns is the function of the measures taken momentum.
