Abstract: 

TWO NEW COMPLEXES OF MAIN METALS REACTED BY (C4H9)4NF AND PRODUCTS SEPARATED CHARACTERIZED BY ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS AND SPECTROSCOPIC METHODS. ONE OF THEM IS TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM TETRAFLUOROBISMUTATE (III), (C4H9)4N[BIF4], THAT EASILY SYNTHESIZED IN A NEARLY QUANTITATIVE YIELD USING A DIRECT REACTION OF BIF3 AND TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM FLUORIDE. ANOTHER IS TETYRABUTYLAMMONIUM FLUOROTRICHLOROANTIMONATE (III), [(C4H9)4N][SBCL3F], THAT HAS BEEN SYNTHESIZED BY REACTION OF TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM FLUORIDE WITH SBCL3 SALT. THE METHODS COULD BE USED FOR OTHER COMPOUNDS. THE ADVANTAGES OF THE NEW METHOD ARE DISCUSSED. (C4H9)4N[BIF4] AND (C4H9)4N[SBCL3F] WERE STUDIED EXPERIMENTALLY BY IR, UVVISIBLE SPECTROSCOPY.

Abstract: 

Untreated caries are common findings in low-income communities. Treatment of dental caries in young children is challenging and requires a high skill and high cost of dental anesthesia for controlling patients and thus, chemical methods for arresting dental caries have been proposed. Silver diamine FLUORIDE (SDF) is a material that is used to control and to arrest dental caries, especially in primary teeth. It is noninvasive, safe, easy to use, and cost-effective. The SDF can be used as a therapeutic agent in oral health projects in low-income communities. In this article we reviewed the silver diamine FLUORIDE and its application in dentistry.

Abstract: 

BACKGROUND: BENZIMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES EXHIBIT SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY AGAINST SEVERAL VIRUSES SUCH AS HIV [1], HERPES (HSV-1) [2], RNA [3], INFLUENZA [4], AND HUMAN CYTOMEGALOVIRUS (HCMV) [1]. THE WIDESPREAD INTEREST IN BENZIMIDAZOLE-CONTAINING STRUCTURES HAS PROMOTED EXTENSIVE STUDIES FOR THEIR SYNTHESIS. WHILE MANY STRATEGIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR BENZIMIDAZOLE SYNTHESIS, THERE ARE TWO GENERAL METHODS FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF 2-SUBSTITUTED BENZIMIDAZOLES. ONE IS THE COUPLING OF PHENYLENEDIAMINES AND CARBOXYLIC ACIDS OR THEIR DERIVATIVES (NITRILES, IMIDATES, OR ORTHOESTERS), WHICH OFTEN REQUIRES STRONG ACIDIC CONDITIONS, AND SOMETIMES COMBINES WITH VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES OR MICROWAVE IRRADIATION. THE OTHER WAY INVOLVES A TWO-STEP PROCEDURE THAT INCLUDES THE OXIDATIVE CYCLO-DEHYDROGENATION OF SCHIFF BASES, WHICH ARE OFTEN GENERATED FROM THE CONDENSATION OF PHENYLENEDIAMINES AND ALDEHYDES.METHODS: ALDEHYDE AND O-PHENYLENEDIAMINE WERE THOROUGHLY MIXED IN ETHANOL, THEN TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM HYDROGEN SULFATE AS CATALYST WAS ADDED, AND THE SOLUTION HEATED AND STIRRED AT ROOM TEMPERETURE FOR APPROPRIATE TIME .ALSO ALDEHYDE AND O-PHENYLENEDIAMINE WERE THOROUGHLY MIXED, AND THEN TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM HYDROGEN SULFATE AS CATALYST WAS ADDED, AND THE MIXTURE IRRADIATED IN A MICROWAVE OVEN AT HIGH POWER LEVEL (MONITORED BY TLC).

Abstract: 

Spinel magnesium Cobaltite (MgCo2O4) nanoparticles with a crystalline size in the range of ∼ 16 nm were prepared by a simple co-precipitation technique with NaOH as a precipitant. The formation of spinel MgCo2O4 phase was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images showed that aggregated nanoplates. The electrochemical performance of modified MgCo2O4 electrodes was investigated with 2M of TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM perchlorate (TBA) electrolyte. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) results revealed that the MgCo2O4 electrode reached the highest specific capacitance of 390 ° F/g at a scan rate of 5mV/s. The excellent electrochemical performance was absorbed due to the electrochemical faradaic redox reactions related to the intercalation/de-intercalation of the TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM cation (TBA+) and MgCo2O4 lattice, and brings an additional pseudocapacitive contribution. The present work proves that the prepared magnesium cobaltite can serve as advanced electrode material for next generation organic electrolyte supercapacitors.

BACKGROUND: IN 1893 BIGINELLI REPORTED THE FIRST SYNTHESIS OF 3, 4-DIHYDROPYRIMIDIN-(1H)-ONES BY A VERY SIMPLE ONE-POT CONDENSATION REACTION OF AN AROMATIC ALDEHYDE, UREA AND ETHYL ACETOACETATE IN ETHANOLIC SOLUTION USING A CATALYTIC AMOUNT OF ACID [1]. THE DIHYDROPYRIMIDINONE CORE AND ITS DERIVATIVES FORM AN IMPORTANT CLASS OF COMPOUNDS, AS IT IS PRESENT IN A LARGE FAMILY OF NATURAL PRODUCTS WITH BROAD BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES AS ANTIHYPERTENSIVE, ANTIVIRAL, ANTITUMOR AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS AND AS CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKERS [2, 3]. SYNTHETIC STRATEGIES FOR THE DIHYDROPYRIMIDINONE NUCLEUS INVOLVE BOTH ONE-POT AND MULTISTEP APPROACHES. AT PRESENT, SEVERAL GENERAL METHODS ARE KNOWN FOR THE PREPARATION OF DIHYDROPYRIMIDINONES, USING VARIOUS LEWIS AND PROTIC ACIDS [4, 5].METHODS: A MIXTURE OF ETHYL ACETOACETATE OR ACETYLACETONE, ALDEHYDE, UREA OR THIOUREA, TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM HYDROGEN SULFATE AS CATALYST IN CH3CN WAS HEATED AND STIRRED UNDER REFLUX AND IRRADIATED IN A MICROWAVE OVEN AT HIGH POWER LEVEL.Y. THE PROGRESS OF REACTION WAS FOLLOWED BY TLC.
