The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between family function and accountability and satisfaction of basic psychological needs of male high school students. In this descriptive study, the correlation between the statistical population of male high school students in district 1 of Tehran was 362 based on the Cochran formula. A random cluster sampling method was used. For this purpose, all male high school boys in the first district of Tehran were selected from 5 schools and two classes were randomly selected from each school. Then, students from these classes were randomly assigned to students Sample titles were selected (meaningless sentence). Epstein, Baldwin, and Bishop (1983) Festal Questionnaire (FAD) based on Mc-Master's model, Nemati's Responsiveness (2008) and Satisfaction with Desi and Ryan's Psychological Needs (2000) were used. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between family function and its six dimensions (problem solving, communication, roles and responsibilities, behavior blending, behavior control, emotional responsiveness) with responsibility and satisfaction of the students' basic psychological needs.
