The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of psychoeducational intervention in reducing expressed emotions in families of patients with severe mental disorders.Using an experimental design, with pretest and posttest and control group, Families of 30 patients with bipolar disorder (BPD), schizophrenia and schizo- affective disorder were divided in tow conditions: 6 sessions of intervention as an experimental group and one session as a control group. Expressed emotions were assessed by using Family Questionnaire.Results showed while that family psycho-education program had no significant effect on emotional over involvement, but it had significant influence on reduction of critical comments (CC) in family members. These results were interpreted in terms of the fact that according to the literature emotional over involvement is less sensitive in predicting relapse. However, family psycho-educational programs are basically designed to reduce relapse and as a result emotional over involvement has not important role in these programs. On the other hand, considering the cultural aspects of this factor, one may expect more time as well as deeper interventions for changing this factor.

The purpose of this study was to improve the investigate to what extent may treatment of schizophrenic patients through training families to modify their incorrect thoughts, believes, and attitudes toward schizophrenics and increase their information to behave appropriateley and adjust their expectation. With a semi- experimental design, and Through 6 sessions of cognitive training for families with schizophrenics patients, examined treatment enhancement of schizophrenics. In this research statistical population was all schizophrenics in Najaf Abad City registered by 2005. The samples of this research were 30 schizophrenic patients (who were selected by psychiatrists) and their families were randomly replaced into the experimental and control groups. The instrument was a questionnaire consisted of the positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS TEST) with alpha croubach 0.8 validity. The results of this research showed that family cognitive training was effective in the treatment of schizophrenic patients. (P<0/01) Dimensions of cognition which means increasing family information about schizophrenic patients, modify their incorrect thoughts, believes and attitudes toward Schizophrenic patients which was also effective in improving the treatment of these patients (P<0/01).

Case management is one of the most effective services for schizophrenic patients and their families. This study conducted by a non-randomized and double blind interventional method to compare two models of case management. One hundred and seventeen schizophrenic patients received home visit services by two trained groups of case managers: mental health workers as case manager and consumers' family members as case manager. The instruments were "General Health Questionnaire-28" (GHQ-28), "Family Experience Interview Schedule" (PEIS), and "Caregivers Knowledge Questionnaire" to assess caregiver mental health, burden and knowledge before and after intervention.There was no significant difference between the two groups and they were both effective so we can use nonprofessional and trained case manager to develop mental health services for schizophrenic patients.

Since family environment have significant role in formation of Positive and Negative Perfectionism, the purpose of the present study was to examine the relation between family efficiency and Positive and Negative Perfectionism in students. Two-hundred and eighty female senior high school students have been, were selected through multiple cluster sampling method.They participated in -the study and completed family assessment device and positive and negative perfectionism scale. The method of study was descriptive and correlation. Results showed positive significant correlation between total score of family efficiency and it's three subscales (roles, problem solving, and affection express) with positive perfectionism. Results also indicated negative significant correlation between total score of family efficiency and two subscales (roles and affection express) with negative perfectionism. No significant correlation was found between roles and Negative Perfectionism. The result of separate regression analyses for Positive and Negative Perfectionism, revealed that problem solving, and affection express for positive perfectionism and roles for negative perfectionism were the best predictors. Results of this study confirmed distinction between positive and negative Perfectionism and shows while positive Perfectionism develops in efficient environment, negative characteristics in family can be a context for developing negative Perfectionism.

Pregnancy, labor and child birth are crucial events in women lives, within days following birth, women show signs of mood changes, commonly named baby blues. The purpose of this study is to examine of the prevalence and risk factors of anxiety and depression in high risk pregnancies.400 subjects from 15-45 years old women referring to hospitals affiliated to the university. Collected and the study was on a case-control basis. Sampling was made through interviews using questionnaires including Beck & Spielberg standard test for depression and anxiety. Prevalence of severe depression in the population under study was estimated to be 21.1% and that of high anxiety was 85.5%. In both of them, the difference between the group was significant (P<0.001).Multiple logistic regression analysis by the stepwise method showed a relation between the mother demographic characteristics, emotional support of the mother by her spouse and the family, pregnancy complications and newborn characteristics.

Under the civil code, divorce is one of husband's authorities. He can divorce his wife any time. The only restriction to this right is bringing an action in court. As such this right maybe abused. This paper discusses divorce right abuse and preventive ways of it and looks at compensation strategies for divorcee. Some methods for prevention of abuse of divorce, when the husband doesn't apply it, are "Khol", "Mobarat" and divorce by court. Another method used in situation that the man unjustifiably applys it, is divesting the intended effect by abuser. The legislator obliges the husband to pay money or do other methods of compensation for compensation of divorced woman. Moreover spiritual damages are repairable.

The aim of this study was to develop a model for system family state relationship to organize a formal education compatible to Islamic parading. For this historical method we have chosen four references: documents, reports, theories, and texts. The documents are from international law and Islamic law, the theories are social and philosophical ones, reports are comparative studies, and texts are sacred. Based on results of conceptual and theorem analysis, the formal education systems is based on one of the three theories: theory of governmental duty, theory of familial duty, and theory of common duty.However, based on Islamic approach, education is public and a general duty. Not only the most important role of the family is educational, but also government has educational duty. Family has the most educational responsibility while government has the right to organize and manage formal education. Also highly educated citizens, rich ones, academic and religious experts have to participate in educational activities. The model of interaction between family and government in education is a triangle that involves participation and super visional role for family, government and civil organization.
